2025 was supposed to be a great year for the WWE. Raw coming to Netflix and John Cena’s retirement tour was supposed to bring eyeballs into the product. But Raw’s viewership keeps declining, with viewership going as down as half of what the premier episode got. And John Cena’s retirement tour turned out to be lackluster. So in this rebooking scenario, I will try to fix WWE.
Drew McIntyre Post bad blood 2024

Before we move to 2025, we need to fix some of Drew’s booking from 2024 because he will be a key player going forward. He was the hottest wrestler in town during the feud with CM Punk and what WWE did with him since then is downright criminal.
Drew still loses the Hell In A Cell match. It’s one of those feuds where the babyface has to win the final encounter. But on the night after Bad Blood, Drew throws a tantrum attacking multiple jobbers as well as security personals who come out to stop him. This leads to Adam Pearce firing him since he has already been suspended for similar actions in the past.
However Nick Aldis is interested in signing Drew who brings him over to Smackdown. Drew spends the next few weeks beating mid-carders in convincing manner without breaking a sweat.
Eventually he gets into a feud with Damien Priest and instead of Wrestlemania, they face each other on the Raw on Netflix premier where Drew wins clean.

Netflix
Next, the following matches from Raw on Netflix debut will instead happen at Wrestlemania 41:
- Roman Reigns Vs Solo Sikoa – Tribal Combat for the Ula Fala
- Liv Morgan Vs Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship
- CM Punk Vs Seth Rollins
All 3 matches had a year’s worth of build and it was a total waste to put them on the Netflix premier. Raw’s viewership only went downhill after this hot-shotting and using this show to further storylines and introducing the roster to new audiences would do more good. Also, this replaces 2 chaotic triple thread matches with 3 personal rivalries for the Wrestlemania card.

Apart from Drew Vs Priest in the main event, this show features World Heavyweight champion Gunther in a match where he toys with his opponent for 5 minutes and beats him convincingly.
Bron Breakker defends his IC title in a match where he gets to display his power and agility. Keep the matches on the show short and spend some time recapping the key storylines going on in the WWE.
Also show hype packages for some wrestlers and announce that they’ll be in action the following week. Also hype up the main event of the night – Drew McIntyre Vs Damien Priest.
John Cena’s Retirement Tour

This was supposed to be the main thing going on in the WWE in 2025 but they somehow managed to fuck this one up. So I am gonna focus mainly on fixing John Cena’s retirement tour going forward in this post.
I will keep the promo he cut on Netflix premier and the finish of the Royal Rumble match. Other notable thing from the Royal Rumble match is Roman Reigns eliminating Solo Sikoa from the match. Solo then gets back into the ring and takes out Roman and gets him eliminated.
Also, Drew pulls a Shawn Michael from 2010 attacking everyone in his sight after getting eliminated. The guy who eliminated him (probably Sami Zayn) will have to pay for it on the lead up to Elimination Chamber.
Next stop on the retirement tour: Elimination Chamber

So Seth still hits Punk with the curb stomp but instead of Cena, it is Drew who takes advantage and eliminates him. We are down to Cena and Drew. Cena goes for the AA but Drew escapes and kicks Cena in the nuts. Drew then hits the Claymore and eliminates Cena to win the Elimination Chamber match.
Drew McIntyre Vs Cody Rhodes is set to be the main event of Wrestlemania 41. We don’t need The Rock as Wrestlemania has already been sold out even before they announced any matches. Putting Drew in this spot will give WWE someone who can be a potential draw for the long run.
Also, no forced heel turn for Cena. Let us cheer for our childhood hero, who never turned to the dark side, during his retirement tour. During the road to Wrestlemania, Drew can remind us that he main evented Wrestlemania 36 and beat Brock Lesnar clean, something no one else in the locker room could claim at the time.
Cena’s Road To Wrestlemania

On the Smackdown after Elimination Chamber, John Cena is a guest on the Grayson Waller Effect. Grayson and Theory mocked Cena for not being able to win any singles match since 2018. Cena might be better off retiring as of this moment to avoid further embarrassment.
Cena fires back and claims that he could take on both of them at the same time. Theory then reminds Cena that he beat him before and he can do it again. Cena then proposes a rematch, at this year’s Wrestlemania. Austin Theory Vs John Cena is set for Wrestlemania 41.
Now the European tour is coming but during that tour in real life, Cena’s appearances were kinda pointless as he kept saying the same things without really saying anything so maybe it’s better if he shows up off camera for the live audience during this tour. Cena and Theory will still have a couple of altercations on camera on the lead up to Wrestlemania.
Wrestlemania 41

The results of the 3 matches that got shifted from Netflix premier gets the same results. Gunther retains against Jey. Instead of winning the king of the ring and regaining his belt, Gunther has a lengthier reign.
John Cena has his first one on one match of his retirement tour. He is about to win but an interference from Grayson Waller allows Austin Theory to pick up the win. Cena is both furious and disappointed as he is yet to pick up a singles victory since 2018.
In the main event, Drew McIntyre beats Cody Rhodes to become the new Undisputed Champion. It isn’t clean though, there’s some sort of a Dusty finish in the work. The show goes off the air with Drew McIntyre standing tall.
To be continued…
