DREW
MCINTYRE

Born in Ayr, Scotland, Andrew Galloway began training at just 15 years old after his family relocated to Portsmouth, England. He made rapid progress through the British independent scene before WWE signed him in 2007, billing him as “The Chosen One” — Vince McMahon’s anointed future world champion. Despite the endorsement, his first WWE run never reached those heights, and after years of mid-card frustration including a stint in the comedic 3MB stable alongside Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal, he was released in 2014. What followed was one of wrestling’s great redemption stories. Working as Drew Galloway on the independent circuit and in TNA, he rebuilt himself completely — becoming hungrier, more polished and more physically imposing than ever. He returned to WWE in 2017, tore through NXT and earned his call-up to the main roster, before his career-defining moment arrived at WrestleMania 36 — an empty arena due to the COVID-19 pandemic — where he defeated Brock Lesnar to win his first WWE Championship in a moment that felt both triumphant and haunting in equal measure. The pandemic robbed him of the crowd he deserved for that moment, and McIntyre spent the following years chasing redemption in front of a live audience — including a heartbreaking run as a babyface fighting Roman Reigns’ Bloodline before a heel turn in late 2023 ignited one of his finest character runs yet. His feud with CM Punk in 2024 produced some of the most compelling television of the year, culminating in a Hell in a Cell classic. A relentless, hard-hitting performer with genuine star power, Drew McIntyre remains one of WWE’s most complete and compelling figures.
