Biography
Liv Morgan is the reigning Women's World Champion for a fourth time, having won the title back in a triple threat with Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank on 10 October 2026. It caps a remarkable year that began with her winning the women's Royal Rumble and continued with victory over Vaquer at WrestleMania 42. Still a central figure in The Judgment Day, she has become one of the defining women of WWE's Netflix era.
The New Jersey native signed with WWE in 2014 and reached NXT television the following year, briefly working as Marley before settling on the Liv Morgan name. Her main-roster arrival came in November 2017 on SmackDown as part of The Riott Squad with Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan, a rowdy trio that ran in various forms until Riott left the company in 2021. Through those years Morgan was often an underdog: the crowd loved her, but the big wins were slow to come.
That changed in July 2022. Morgan won the women's Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed in on Ronda Rousey the same night to become SmackDown Women's Champion. Her reign lasted 98 days, and in 2023 she found steady success in tag team wrestling with Raquel Rodriguez, the pair winning the Women's Tag Team Championship twice that year. She also lasted more than an hour in the 2023 Royal Rumble and finished runner-up again in 2024, before shoulder injuries interrupted her progress.
The 2024 'Revenge Tour' turned her into a headliner. After a backstage attack left Rhea Ripley injured and forced to vacate the Women's World Championship, Morgan beat Becky Lynch for that title at King and Queen of the Ring. At SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio turned on Ripley and kissed Morgan, sealing a heel turn and her move into The Judgment Day. She added the first Women's Crown Jewel Championship in November and held the world title for 226 days until Ripley won it back on the first Raw on Netflix in January 2025.
With Rodriguez she then set the record for Women's Tag Team Championship reigns, but a dislocated shoulder in June 2025 sidelined her for five months. She returned at Survivor Series: WarGames to help Mysterio win the Intercontinental title, and in 2026 she reached the top: Royal Rumble winner, WrestleMania champion and a SummerSlam defence against Iyo Sky that Meltzer rated four and a quarter stars. Vaquer took the title from her at a house show in Chile in September with help from guest referee Lynch, but Morgan answered within a month and heads into the autumn as champion once more.
