Biography
Born in Limerick and raised in Dublin, Rebecca Quin began training under Finn Bálor and Paul Tracey in 2002 at just 15 years old, debuting later that year on the Irish independent scene as Rebecca Knox. She spent years working across Europe — Ireland, England, France, Germany — before a serious head injury in 2006 forced her to step away from wrestling entirely for several years. She returned as a manager in 2011 before signing a WWE developmental deal in 2013, beginning the journey that would eventually make her one of the most beloved figures in wrestling history. Her early WWE years were spent in the shadow of Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks, a supporting character in a women's revolution she helped build but didn't yet lead. That changed in 2018 when a blistering promo on SmackDown ignited the "The Man" character — a defiant, self-assured Irish firecracker who captured the crowd's imagination unlike anyone in the women's division before her. She became the hottest act in all of wrestling, and her WrestleMania 35 moment — pinning Ronda Rousey in the first ever women's WrestleMania main event — was one of the most euphoric in the event's history. After going on maternity leave in 2020, she returned in 2021 and continued adding to her legacy, becoming WWE's sixth Women's Grand Slam Champion after winning the NXT Women's Championship in September 2023.
