In the build to WWE x TNA: Worlds Collide, the superstar wrestlers of each company are to be featured on one another’s programs, introduced in video packages and promo segments to familiarize them with audiences and generate interest in their respective PLE matchups. This all culminates in the week’s go-home episodes of Raw, iMPACT!, and SmackDown, each main evented by interpromotional matchups pitting challengers against a champion of the rival brand.
WWE Monday Night Raw
Eric Young vs. Damian Priest (c) in a singles match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Storyline: Eric Young’s WWE tenure didn’t live up to the veteran’s expectations, but he sees an opportunity to right those wrongs by challenging WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest for a shot at the gold.
Mid-match: While Dominik Mysterio distracts the ref, Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh attack Young in the ring, exiting before the referee spots them.
Results: Priest def. Young via pinfall
Post-match: The Judgement Day continue their beatdown of Young, but Cody, Deaner and Jake Something run out to fend them off.
TNA iMPACT!
Rey Mysterio vs. Mustafa Ali (c) in a singles match for the TNA X-Division Championship
Storyline: Rey Mysterio is perhaps the greatest cruiserweight of all time, making him a perfect fit for the X-Division. A run with its title has always been a tantalizing what-if scenario, prompting Mysterio to stake his claim for it. Ali, recognizing the weight a match with Mysterio holds for both himself and TNA at large, accepts.
Results: Ali def. Mysterio via pinfall
WWE Friday Night SmackDown
ABC vs. A-Town Down Under (c) in a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Storyline: ABC and A-Town Down Under are two of the brightest young teams in the industry, the latter even holding the WWE Tag Team Championships. But beneath that accolade is mounting tension between Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. Can they put up a united front to retain their titles against the best TNA has to offer?
Results: A-Town Down Under def. ABC via pinfall
WORLDS COLLIDE PPV
Randy Orton vs. Moose (c) in a singles match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Storyline: What’s a Legend Killer to a Wrestling God? Moose, TNA veteran and its current World Heavyweight Champion, sees Randy Orton as the perfect opponent to legitimize himself and all of TNA against. It isn’t long before he and The System begin targeting Orton as a result, goading him into a match. Will the definitive “WWE guy” stick it to TNA by capturing its top prize, or is The System too much for even a star like Orton to overcome?
Mid-match: Just as it seems Orton has secured the win with an RKO, Alisha Edwards runs down to distract the referee. Eddie Edwards attempts run interference but is met by Kevin Owens, and the two fight off. However, Brian Myers sneaks in, low-blows Orton and quickly exits. Moose then hits a Lights Out and as the ref returns his attention to the match, goes for the pin.
Results: Moose def. Orton via pinfall
Chad Gable vs. Mike Bailey in a singles match
Storyline: Chad Gable is on a mission to prove himself following his failure to capture the Intercontinental Championship and dissolution of Alpha Academy. He sees an opportunity to do so against TNA standout “Speedball” Mike Bailey, often touted as one of the best pro wrestlers in the world. Speedball, eager to test his exceptional high-flying against the best technician in the WWE, accepts. But what’s strictly professional for Speedball is personal for Gable, which intensifies their matchup! into a feud proper.
Results: Gable def. Bailey via pinfall
Tiffany Stratton vs. Jordynne Grace (c) in a singles match for the TNA Knockouts World Championship
Storyline: It wouldn’t be unfair to say there aren’t many people in the locker room Tiffany Stratton respects, let alone another company’s champion. So when TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace introduces herself to the WWE Universe, Stratton doesn’t receive her warmly. Their personal spat turns into a war over Knockouts gold, Stratton feeling entitled to the accolade and The Juggernaut defending its honor against an arrogant outsider.
Results: Grace def. Stratton via pinfall
LA Knight vs. Hammerstone in a singles match
Storyline: It’s safe to say there isn’t anyone in wrestling like Hammerstone, a mountain of a man whose power is matched by his prowess. The resulting ego from his success is quick to be called out by LA Knight, a man as famous for his attitude as he is his tenured career. But instead of seeing an annoyance in The Megastar, Hammerstone instead sees an opportunity, both to shut up a loud mouth and make his name off defeating the highest-profile wrestler he’s yet in his career.
Results: Hammerstone def. Knight via pinfall
Masha Slamovich vs. Bayley (c) in a singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
Storyline: There may not be a badder woman in all of pro wrestling than Masha Slamovich, which makes her the most worthy candidate to step up to Bayley that TNA can produce. The Role Model, whose title of WWE Women’s Champion makes her the de facto cream of the crop, doesn’t back down from Russian Dynamite’s challenge, though knows she’s in for the fight of her life against an opponent the likes of which she’s never faced before.
Results: Bayley def. Slamovich via pinfall
Drew McIntyre vs. Joe Hendry (w/ Ace Steel) in a singles match
Storyline: It’s been quite some time since TNA has produced a star with as much buzz surrounding him as Joe Hendry, and Drew McIntyre has taken notice. The Scottish Psychopath aims to humiliate his ex-rival on the path to redemption following failure after failure at the hands of one CM Punk. But will The Straight Edge Superstar continue to inject himself into McIntyre’s career, even with longtime friend Ace Steel standing in The Global Hero‘s corner?
Mid-match: A Claymore from Hendry causes the referee to go down along with McIntyre, which of course brings out Punk. However, before he can intervene, Steel meets him on the outside. He tries to talk his friend down, and it isn’t long before Hendry joins in, not wanting to win that way. Upon returning to the ring, however, Hendry is leveled with a Claymore, and McIntyre eyes down Punk as he goes for the pin.
Results: McIntyre def. Hendry via pinfall
Matt Cardona vs. Cody Rhodes (c) in a singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship

Storyline: Cody Rhodes has thrived since returning to the company to end Roman Reigns’s era-defining reign, defining his own legacy in the process. Matt Cardona is not a man who’s been afforded the same opportunities. Eager to prove he doesn’t need the WWE machine behind him to be a star, Cardona challenges The American Nightmare for his title and threatens to take it with him into the independent Wild West should he win. Rhodes accepts his friend’s challenge, defending both his title and the company at large in what’s perhaps his greatest test as champ yet.
Results: Rhodes def. Cardona via pinfall
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Decay in a tag team match
Storyline: After losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles to The Unholy Union, the cracks in the foundation of Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill’s partnership have begun to show. As the partnership between WWE and TNA escalates, veteran tandem Decay— made up of Rosemary and Havok— seize the opportunity to make an example of The EST and The Storm. Can WWE’s superwoman pairing rally together one more time to overcome both literal and figurative decay?
Results: Belair & Cargill def. Decay via pinfall
Josh Alexander vs. AJ Styles in a singles match

Storyline: There is perhaps no man more synonymous with TNA wrestling than Josh Alexander. But it wasn’t always that way. Before The Walking Weapon became the longest-reigning champion in company history and its de facto ace, there was The Phenomenal One. TNA is where AJ Styles cut his teeth in wrestling, and as his homes old and new come together, Styles and Alexander engage in a battle over TNA’s heart, soul, and legacy.
Results: Alexander def. Styles via submission
Post-match: Alexander helps Styles to his feet who, after some reluctance, shakes Alexander’s hand. The babyfaces in the TNA locker room come out to both pay their respects to Styles and celebrate with Alexander.
