The Road to WrestleMania 42 is in full swing following a massive episode of Monday Night Raw from Indianapolis! Here is a breakdown of the biggest results and moments from the night:

  • Seth Rollins Returns for Revenge: The Vision kicked off the show demanding Seth Rollins answer for his actions at Elimination Chamber. Rollins outsmarted the group by disguising himself as a masked man, eventually ambushing Paul Heyman with a steel chair and a Stomp that left Heyman bloodied. Later, Jimmy Uso attacked Austin Theory backstage, and LA Knight hijacked the ambulance that was transporting Heyman.
  • Gunther Submits Dragon Lee: In what was praised as a fantastic, hard-hitting match, Gunther defeated Dragon Lee via submission. Gunther locked in a sleeper hold and ripped off Dragon Lee’s mask, forcing the luchador to tap out.
  • A Fighting Women’s IC Champion: Fresh off her victory over Becky Lynch, the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee declared that she isn’t waiting until WrestleMania to defend her title. To find her first challenger, a number one contender’s gauntlet match was announced for next week.
  • The Original El Grande Americano Wins: Chad Gable, as The Original El Grande Americano, defeated Rayo Americano via pinfall after hitting a rolling German Suplex.
  • The Usos Stand Tall: Jimmy Uso defeated Austin Theory by disqualification after Logan Paul interfered in the match. Jey Uso ultimately ran down to make the save, and the brothers cleared the ring.
  • AND NEW Intercontinental Champion: Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio to capture his first singles title in WWE. Mysterio’s night started poorly when the debuting Danhausen placed a “curse” on him backstage. In the match’s climax, Finn Balor stopped JD McDonagh from passing Mysterio the ring bell hammer, claiming Dom wanted to win on his own. This allowed Penta to hit a Mexican Destroyer for the 1-2-3, signaling serious friction within The Judgment Day.
  • CM Punk and Roman Reigns Cross the Line: The night ended with a deeply personal promo battle between Roman Reigns and CM Punk ahead of their WrestleMania 42 main event. Reigns threatened to smash Punk and send him on a “John Cena Retirement Tour”. Punk fired back that Reigns has never accomplished anything without help, ending the show with the explosive promise that he is going to bury Reigns next to his father.
