Bryan: “The aim of the Blackpool Combat Club is to make AEW a better place, something we can be proud of for generations, its about making this companies standard of performance at the elite level it promised. Now, as Moxley prepares to fight for the NEVER Openweight Championship in Japan, the three of us have been watching this company, looking for the cracks that we must pave over and raising everyone’s standards. Tonight we continue raising standards as the Ring of Honour Champion, Claudio Castagnoli fights Malakai Black. We expect nothing but excellence. Anything less and this could be the end of Malakai’s career. Tonight I’ll be fighting Brody King, and while he thinks he’s a big strong dog for what he did to Yuta. Just know he hasn’t faced Bryan Danielson before.” Bryan looks down and laughs softly to himself.

Eventually, Toni is thrown off Shida and hits the ropes looking for a clothesline, Shida ducks and hits the ropes herself, and eventually, both women hit clotheslines on each other and now they’re both down. The crowd applauds the fast start. Both women pull themselves up at opposite ends of the ring, spot the other, and charge into the middle of the ring. Swinging punches at the other, with no regard for their own defence. Shida gains the advantage with a knee to the stomach, and she irish whips Toni across the ring, waiting for her to return but Toni holds onto the ropes. Shida runs at her but is met with a knee to the stomach from Toni, and she tosses Shida onto the apron. Toni picks up some speed as she goes for a hip attack on Shida, but she gets out of the way and hits a big side head kick on the back of Tonis head, letting her stumble onto the apron. Both women now on the apron, Shida wastes no time and takes advantage. She picks up Toni and hits a devastating Falcon Arrow on the ring apron, leaving Toni to fall to the floor.

Hikaru has the advantage for the first half of the match, but a distraction from Ruby gives Toni an opportunity to take control, as she pulls out some brass knuckles while the ref and Shida are distracted by Ruby. Shida demands the ref throw Ruby and Saraya out then turns back to Toni and is met with a right hook with the brass knuckles. Toni screams to the ref before he has a chance to send Ruby away. He leaps into the pinfall, 1…2….SHIDA KICKS OUT. All members of the Outcasts are shocked.

Toni maintains the advantage towards the end of the match, Toni throws Shida out of the ring and grabs the refs attention so the Outcasts can attack Shida. The referee pushes Toni aside and sees the Outcasts approach Shida but stops them, warning them they will be sent to the back. Toni reluctantly leaves the ring to grab Shida. Shida has recovered and grabs Toni, throwing her into the barricade. Toni’s body is draped over the barricade, and Shida charges in to hit a barricade knee lift. Toni falls to the floor in and tries to get up, now on her hands and knees, the Outcast come to check on her but Shida charges at them and uses Toni’s back as a stepping stool, hitting a step up knee of Ruby and Saraya.

Shida stands to confront Ruby, but Toni turns her around to hit her with the Kendo but Shida catches it. Ruby now is trying to get the referee to turn around as they fight over it until Shida kicks Toni between the legs and she drops to the floor. Now with the Kendo in hand, Shida turns and hits Ruby in the head with it and she falls to the apron then the floor. She tells the ref that’s how you do it. Saraya rushes over to check on Ruby, she’s awake but bleeding. Saraya is very worried about her. MALAKAI BLACK vs CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI

The venue fades to black as Malakai’s theme plays and he comes out, alone and masked. One spotlight coming down lighting him at the top of the ramp. The light fades and when it comes back he’s sitting cross-legged in the ring.

The lights all brighten up as Claudios theme plays and he comes out, draped in BCC gear with Yuta by his side. He fist bumps Yuta and continues down the ramp, on his own.

The match begins with Claudio looking for a test of strength, then swinging at Malakai. Malakai ducks it and starts laying in forearms on Claudio, he pushes him into the ropes and looks for a roundhouse kick but Claudio holds onto the ropes and the kick meets thin air. Claudio charges at Malakai looking for a lariat but Malakai ducks it and hits Claudio with a front kick into the ropes, then as Claudio comes back he hits him with a chest kick. Claudio absorbs the kick and yells at Malakai, going forehead to forehead with him. They push each other back, Malakai looks for another but Claudio forearms it away, and hits an uppercut, then another and final he pushes Malakai into the ropes and lifts him up for a Swiss Death but is meant with a bicycle knee from Malakai and tumbles out of the ring. Malakai quickly leaves the ring and climbs up the turnbuckle, looking for a moonsault. He leaps off of the second rope and Claudio hits him with an uppercut, adding extra force to Malakais rotation as he hits the floor hard. This bump took a lot out of Malakai and gave Claudio the advantage going forward.

Claudio throws Malakai back into the ring after beating him down outside the ring, Malakai still a step behind due to the hard impact of the moonsault earlier. Claudio gets Malakai on his right shoulder and drops to his knee, hitting a back breaker variant. Claudio doesn’t let go, stands up and repeats. Still not letting go, he stands again and this time gets Malakai in power bomb position, only to hit an Alley Oop into the corner. Claudio brushes his hands together, making easy work of Malakai. Claudio lifts Malakai up to the top rope and joins him, throwing forearms into his back and then deadlifting him around the stomach for an Avalanche gut wrench suplex. Pinfall attempt. 1…MALAKAI KICKS OUT. Claudio laughs at Malakai’s resilience, picking him back up and instantly hitting an uppercut but Malakai does budge, just stands stiff, raising his eyes to Claudio’s. Claudio hits a forearm but no reaction again, until Malakai laughs. Claudio looks for another forearm and Malakai ducks, hitting a snap German suplex. Claudio bounces back up, charges are Malakai but is met with an exploder suplex this time, leaving Claudio to crash into the corner. As Claudio makes his way back to his feet, using the ropes to help, Malakai comes charging in looking for a corner kick. Claudio catches Malakai’s leg and lifts him up in power bomb position, he goes for another Alley Top but Malakai manages to step off Claudios shoulders and land on the top rope, he turns and looks for a Meteroa but Claudio catches him, shakes him off his shoulders and catches him in position for a giant swing. Claudio ends up tossing Malakai out of the ring when the swing is over. The crowd stopped counting at 22.

Still groggy from the giant swing, Claudio takes a minute and drops to a knee before fetching Malakai. On the outside Malakai is using the steel steps to get back up. Claudio final comes out to get him, grabs his waist to pull him into the ring, but Malakai holds onto the steps. Claudio delivers a forearm to Malakai’s back, turns him around and hits another stiff uppercut. Malakai takes it on the chest, yells at Claudio and hits him with a Black Mass. Claudio falls to the floor and Malakai falls back into a sitting position. Then he punches the ground and stands back up, picking up Claudio and throwing him back into the ring, looking for the pin. 1…2…CLAUDIO KICKS OUT.

Tony Schiavone: “Malakai took too long to cover there, if he hit that in the ring, this would’ve been over.”

Nigel: “But he didn’t, so now he’s given Claudio a second life. Amateur move.”

Malakai gets back to his feet, puts his foot under Claudios chin and begins to raise him up. Now with Claudio back on his feet, Malakai looks for the Black mass but Claudio ducks it by dropping to a knee. He pushes Malakai into the rope and lifts him up for a Swiss Death, hitting Malakai right under the jaw. Malakai falls back into the ropes and back into Claudio who grabs his wrist and puts him in powerbomb position, hitting a Ricola Bomb. Pinfall…1….2….MALAKAI GETS HIS HAND ON THE ROPES. Claudio is furious and spares no time lifting Malakai back up to his feet, then up to the top rope. Claudio tries to meet him up there but is kicked back by Malakai. Malakai leaps off the top rope, hitting a Meteora. Claudio is back to his feet and turns into a chest kick from Malakai, kicking him back into the ropes, then a bicycle knee strike and finally a Brainbuster Suplex. Quickly he puts his foot under Claudios chin again and lift him up for a Black Mass. Claudio grabs his leg and Malakai loses balance. Claudio gets his shoulder under Malakais knee and goes under his leg, taking his other hand wrapping it around the neck and lifting Malakai up onto his shoulders for a Burning hammer. Claudio gets a small run up and toss Malakai to the mat but Malakai lands on his feet. Claudio, now on his knees, looks up and see Malakai on his feet. Malakai hits a Black Mass and Claudio drops stiff to the mat. Pinfall…1….2…3.

MALAKAI WINS via Pinfall 16:30

After the match, Malakai sits alone in the ring after the referee raises his hand. Bryan Danielson theme plays and the crowd erupt in anticipation. Bryan walks down the ramp, picks up Claudio and pats him on the back. Bryan then walks into the ring. Malakai stands back up and Bryan gets right in Malakais face. ‘Holy Shit’ ‘Holy Shit’ ‘Holy Shit’ the crowd break out in chant. As they stare each other down, Claudio and Yuta make their way onto the apron, but Malakais eyes remain on Bryan. Brody and Buddy make their down the ramp. Claudio signals Yuta and they move to stand at the bottom of the ramp while Brody and Buddy stand at the top.

Back in the ring, neither Bryan or Malakai have adverted their gaze. Bryan says something to Malakai and points to the ALL OUT sign up on the big screen in the rafters. Malakai nods and leaves the ring, meeting Yuta and Claudio at the bottom of the ramp and stepping around them, meeting Brody and Buddy at the top of the ramp.

ACCLAIMED BACKSTAGE WITH MJF AND UNITED KINGDOM

Billy Gunn: “Are you guys sure we can trust Max?” Antony looks to Caster, waiting for him to answer.

Caster: “You guys have seen him the last few months, since finding a friend in Adam Cole he’s not that bad to be around?”

Bowens: “When are you ever around him?”

Caster: “Hey! Sometimes we sit very close to each other in catering, once just a table length.” Bowens and Billy shake their head. “I know that doesn’t mean much but he inspires me, he let love in and now he’s a better man for it.”

Billy: “We will trust him if you do. Now bring it in!” Billy offers his hand in a scissor formation. Both men join him and then a fourth hand comes into frame. It’s MJF and Adam Cole.

MJF: “Hey guys, big fan on all your work. Max, I love the raps. Bowens, you’re great in that ring and BILLY! Big fan for years, I’ve been using your crutch chop so much in my personal life.” Billy holds back a laugh. Adam Cole comes into frame with Roddy and Kyle.

MJF: “Awesome, we’re all here. Boys, meet the acclaimed.” Everyone exchanges handshakes. Caster has Adams hand and speaks.

Caster: “Thanks again for including us in this match, we really wanted to get our hands on FTR, feel them out before ALL OUT.” Acclaimed music plays and they all say goodbye and rush out.

Adam: “Why did he thank me Max?”

MJF: “Because he’s a great guy. Now, are we ready?” Max moves he gaze from Cole to Roddy and Kyle. “You two got our backs out there? We have the numbers game tonight and that’ll help keep us in control.” MJF pats both their shoulders and walks out.

Adam: “I got to go guys, I’ll see you out there if things go south.” All men fist bump and Cole leaves. Roddy and Kyle exchange looks and we move to the Acclaimed entrance.

BETTER THAN YOU BAYBAY & THE ACCLAIMED vs CULT OF PERSONALITY

Acclaimed music is already playing. All members make their way out. Caster on the mic, dropping lines about cults circle jerking together and FTR being Bears together.

Better than you Bay Bay theme plays and MJF comes out, Cole right behind him. They make their way down to the ring together and pose in the ring.

CM Punks theme plays and the entire Cult of Personality come down the ramp together. Punk, Hobbs and FTR walk down in a line, staring at the competition, making their way to their side of the ring.

The bell rings and Max Caster is in for his team and Punk is in for his. Immediately Punk tags in Hobbs and brushes off Caster, as if he’s beneath him. Hobbs makes his presence know and stands in the middle of the ring. Caster looks him up and down and tags in MJF. MJF enters the ring and argues with Caster.

After this argument, Bowens tags himself in a marches straight up to Hobbs. They bump chest to chest, and Bowens pushes Hobbs. Hobbs laughs and pushes Bowens back, almost knocking him to his ass. His corner cheer him on and he squares up again to a smiling Hobbs. Bowens slaps the smile off Hobbs’s face. Hobbs swings at him but he ducks and starts throwing punches of his own. 1,2,3,4, and before the fifth, Hobbs catches it and hits a one arm Uranage, planting Bowens hard on the mat. He puts his foot on Bowens head and flexes. This brings all members of both teams in the ring, Caster now going straight for Hobbs, Cole leaps at FTR, while Punk and MJF trail behind the rest, stare each other down. The carnage in the middle of the ring is the only thing separating them but, like a gust of wind, everyone leaves the ring except them two.

Punk gestures to his wrist, asking what time it is and MJF tells him to ‘bring it on, you piece of shit’. Both men start exchanging blows in the middle of the ring, the crowd goes wild for this. Punk is the one that gets the upper hand with an eye poke. He tosses MJF into the corner and starts laying in my strikes. Meanwhile, outside the ring, The Acclaimed are beating down FTR until Hobbs comes over and throws Adam Cole into them. MJF pokes Punk in the eye inside the ring and throws him between the ropes, looking for a Heat Seeker, but Punk gets off the apron, holding onto his eye. MJF looks out to the crowd and gestures for a suicide dive. He runs across the ring and leaps out but is caught by Hobbs. MJF Panics, buts its no use as Hobbs lifts him up and hits a Worlds Strongest Slam on the ring apron, picks him up again and hits another on the announce table, then lets MJF fall to the floor. Punk poses with Hobbs, and they appalled themselves towards the crowd.

Cult of Personality take control of the match since they have the one man advantage, with MJF still down after Hobbs onslaught. FTR are in the ring, teaming up on Adam Cole, making sure he can’t make a tag. Punk has yet to be tagged in, instead barking orders to his men. Adam is tossed into the corner and Dax tags in Punk. Punk starts beating down Cole, kicking him in the corner and then shoving his foot against his throat. The cameraman gets a shot of Adam being choked with MJF still on the floor, holding his ribs. Doctor checking on him. Punk lifts up Cole hits a running bulldog in the middle of the ring and dusts off his hand in front of the Acclaimed. Punk continues the assault, Bowens tells Caster to go check on MJF and bring him back. Caster goes to talk to Max and in the ring Adam Cole ducks a head kick from Punk and hits a bicycle kick of his own, looking for a tag with Bowens and makes it. Punk also falls back into the corner and Hobbs is back in. Bowens hits Hobbs with a Lariat but Hobbs barely moves. Bowens hits the ropes and shoulder charges Hobbs and he takes one step back. Bowens tries one more time and this time when he hits Hobbs he falls back into the ropes but bounces back, pushing Bowens all the way back into his corner. Caster is back on the apron and tags himself in, Hobbs back is turned and Caster hits him from behind, in the back of the head. Hobbs is dazed and Caster looks for a German suplex. Struggling to get Hobbs up, Adam Cole comes back in the ring and hits a Superkick on Hobbs, helping Caster complete the German Suplex.

Punk enters the ring, focused on Caster, who walks back into his corner and Cole superkicks Punk. Adam is talking shit to Punk when FTR enter the ring and hit him with a shatter machine. Caster tags in Bowens and they stare across the ring at FTR. Both teams meet in the middle and a brawl breaks out. FTR gain the advantage and hit both Bowens and Caster with Dual Suplexes. Cash hits the ropes and Dax lifts him up for a 2 for 1 Assisted Leg Drop but Acclaimed roll out of the way. Bowens hits a discus forearm on Dax, dropping him and he rolls out of the ring. Caster grabs Cash and throws him to Bowens to hit The Arrival while Caster climbs to the top rope and hits a Mic Drop. They celebrate together and turn right into a double clothesline from Hobbs. Hobbs throws Bowens out of the ring then lifts up Caster, throws him into the ropes and then hits a spine buster on him and goes to check on Punk and help him back to their corner. Caster is still the legal man and he reaches out to his corner but no-one is there. They’ve all been taken out. When suddenly a hand raises up from the floor and grabs the bottom rope. It’s MJF! He pulls himself up from the floor, climbs the ropes, reaches out for the tag and gets it. The crowd erupt and he marches straight to Hobbs, turns him around and starts laying in punches until Hobbs pushes him away. He runs at MJF and Max hits a dropkick to his knee, dropping Hobbs. Hobbs gets back up, limping a little and Max hits a bodyslam on him. Flexing afterwards towards the crowd. Max picks Hobbs back to his feet, Hobbs swings at Max but he ducks it. He kicks Hobbs but he catches it, Max is stuck here, until he hits an eye poke on Hobbs, and quickly locks him in for a Brainbuster. Pinfall attempt, 1….2…..HOBBS KICKS OUT.

Punk is in his corner, staring down MJF. He reaches down to Hobbs and tags himself in, walks into the middle of the ring and goes forehead to forehead with Max, then they start swinging at one another. No concern for defending themselves, just hurting each other. This time MJF gets the upper hand and tosses Punk into the corner and hits a running knee, laughing purposefully to the crowd. He grabs Punks head for the Bulldog but as he looks for the Bulldog, Punk lifts him up and throws him down, ass first. MJF raises back to his feet and Punk lifts him onto his shoulders for a GTS but Max slips out and pushes Punk into the ropes where Cole is waiting on the apron with a superkick. Punk is draped over the ropes and MJF approaches him. Suddenly, Adam is pulled off the apron by FTR and Hobbs attacks MJF from behind. Dax picks up Adam in a Piledriver position and Cash leaps off the apron hitting a Mind Breaker on Cole to the floor. Punk is down in the corner while Hobbs attacks Max. Acclaimed are back in the ring and they take Hobbs off Max, they start fighting. Hobbs charges at them and they duck, letting him slip over the ropes but he is still on the apron. Acclaimed turn to Punk but Hobbs pulls both men over the ropes and they start brawling on the apron. The referee is trying to regain control. While focused on Acclaimed and Hobbs, FTR now have the tag belts. Punk picks up Max and throws him into the corner where Dax and Cash both hit Max with a title belt, sort’ve like a meat in the middle and Punk hits a running knee strike, holding MJFs head in his arms and orders FTR to help Hobbs. Acclaimed hit duel superkicks on Hobbs and he is dazed, before Acclaimed can knock him off the apron FTR pull them down and they all start brawling. Hobbs regains focus and leaps off the apron taking out everyone. Punk calls out for the referees attention and hits a running bulldog. Gestures to the crowd it’s time to go to sleep, lifts up Max and hits the GTS. Pinfall attempt, 1…2…3.
