All Your Wrestling Pro Manager Announcement
Hello everyone and welcome to the AYW Pro Manager announcement!
I’ve always wanted to develop my own management game. From being a massive fan of Football Manager and simulation and management games in general, as well as being a huge wrestling fan, this finally seemed the perfect time to turn dreams into reality.
For full transparency, I have used AI to help with the coding of the game and wrestler/event images. ALL of the ideas, game mechanics and screen layouts are my own ideas.
Day 1
I wanted to include as much as possible from day 1. The following are just some of the features;
- Booking events
- Building a roster
- Building your staff
- Dealing with contracts
- Academy
- Finances – inc TV deals and sponsorship
- Rival promotions
- And more!
I will dive into these in much more detail in this diary and the following diaries. But first, lets start with Maya.
Your Assistant
Maya Vale is there to guide you (when you may need it).

Here is your dashboard. This is an overview of your cash balance, trust, your main champions, upcoming shows and most importantly perhaps, Maya’s advice. She will always recommend things on this screen that you should perhaps focus your attention to.

Not happy with Maya? You could fire her (nasty!) but this just shows that all members of your staff can be fired, or if you are feeling kind, extend their contract.
You have 7 departments ranging from road crew to producers. You can search staff if you would like to hire some fresh blood.

The Roster Of Your Dreams
So, you have your assistant in place. You have your producers calling the shots and your roadies transporting the gear. I suppose now you need some wrestlers! In AYW Pro Manager, you start the game managing the company AYW. Your goal is to obviously achieve greatness, but also to ensure you stay on the right side of the board of directors, TV companies, sponsors and of course – the fans. To help with all of this, you are going to need a roster.
You begin with a roster of 50 wrestlers. Not happy with some? You can release if you like (although this will cost you a fee).

As you can see from the image, you can filter the roster however you like. When clicking on a wrestler, it will take you to their profile page. Here, you will find the wrestler’s stats and general information. As well as all of that, there are many options for you to peruse: contract, booking, medical, relationships, form, history, development and of course, talk to your wrestler. All of these tabs contain different options to further enrich your experience.

Let’s dive into the contract. The first screen on the contract tab will give you the details of the wrestler’s contract. Weekly and annual cost alongside an expiry date. There is also the option here to suspend your wrestler when they have been naughty.

When renewing a contract, I wanted to ensure that the players would be happy with the options available. Contract length, weekly wage, release clause, image rights, media appearance and much more are all available here. They also work! For example, if I reward Scarlett here with a 10% cut of merch sales, this will be reflected in the merch sales screen in the finances tab. So don’t be too generous with those contract renewals unless you can afford it!

The Academy
Every good wrestling promotion needs an academy. So of course AYW has one! Here, you decide which member of staff runs the academy. You also decide on a style to train the wrestlers in, so it matches with your main vision. You can also focus most of your attention on one academy prospect in particular if you so wish (you may upset some of the others if you do this though).
Finally, you can call up or release academy prospects at any time and you will get a fresh faced batch of academy stars each year.

Signing

So we mentioned earlier that you need to build a world-class roster. So to help with that, you may need to sign some wrestlers. In AYW Pro Manager, there are close to 700 wrestlers in the database (to begin with). Some of these are with you already (50), some are free agents and some are working for rival promotions (booo). If you would like to sign a wrestler from a rival promotion, you simply click on them, and make a transfer offer.

You then need to have a transfer offer accepted before you can offer a contract. The companies are not just going to roll over and let you sign their top talent, so ensure you make a generous offer. Come on Harlan, sign for me!

The Boardroom

Earlier on, I touched on the boardroom and the board of directors. You need to perform for them or you will be in trouble. With AYW Pro Manager, I wanted to introduce some jeopardy. I didn’t want to play a game that doesn’t have real consequences. So if you don’t keep different groups happy, you will be fired. Yep. Game over. You have 3 strikes and then you are out on your backside.

If you are performing badly and need a bit of a boost, you can always make a request to your masters. There are also board targets for you to meet and you will have a performance management meeting every 6 months to check on how you are performing.
So there we have it. An introduction to All Your Wrestling Pro Manager. The game will be released on August 18th and will be available on Steam. I do have a couple more dev diaries scheduled to get you all excited. The next (released 25th July) will focus on the booking of events.
Here is the full dev diary schedule;
- July 25 – Booking Events (inc titles and storylines)
- August 1 – Finances (inc Tv contracts, Sponsorship and Merch)
- August 8 – The Editor
