-Pyro goes off and we are welcomed to the sixth episode of World Class Championship Wrestling by our commentary team, Ian Riccaboni & Nigel McGuinness. They hype up the opening match between Thunder Rosa and Taya Valkyrie but Eddie Kingston storms out with a cast on his hand. They say Eddie Kingston is not medically cleared and has been asked to stay home.
-Eddie Kingston tries to cut a promo and he calls Ricky Starks a spineless coward that he will destroy when he gets his hands on him. Arena security escorted him out of the building. Commentary again begins hyping the opening match, but again they are interrupted this time by MJF.
MJF promo – MJF mocks Eddie Kingston saying “I didn’t realise the homeless situation in Canada was this bad”. He goes to continue but he is interrupted by LA Knight. Knight tells MJF to be less concerned with Kingston and be more focused on the most must see superstar in the NWA, LA Knight, YEAH! MJF says “must see? There is nothing about you that you must see. You are a tribute act. You are The Rock Lite. You are Diet Steve Austin. You are a toddlers play set version of the Attitude Era.” LA Knight talks about inspiration and says MJF isn’t original either. He calls MJF an amalgamation of Ric Flair, Roddy Piper and of course, CM Punk. This business has been around for a very long time, we’re all inspired by someone. If I remind fans of a past era they’re fond of, then I am grateful for the comparison. However, I am my own man, one of a kind, next week you will see it first hand. MJF tries a cheap shot, LA Knight almost hits the BFT but MJF escapes.
Thunder Rosa vs Taya Valkyrie w/Deonna Purrazzo – Rosa starts off hot and rattles Taya early. Deonna trips up Thunder Rosa allowing Taya to get the advantage. After being beaten down, Rosa manages a comeback and hits the Tijuana Bomb for the win after 12 minutes.
Women’s Division Announcements – The Vendetta & Thunder Rosa stick around as the rest of the women’s roster come out too. Samantha Irvin introduces AJ Lee who has a very exciting announcement for the division. The women’s rankings, decided upon by the contracted legends, have been finalized. Kamille won a number 1 contender match on the debut episode of WCCW so she is ranked number 1. Jordynne Grace is ranked 2nd, Mercedes Mone is ranked third. At NWA Power: Into The Fire, Mone & Grace will wrestle each other in a qualifying match. Also on that show, there will be an 11-woman Gauntlet eliminator, the winner will face Mone or Grace to earn the opportunity against Kamille for the vacant women’s title. Since she has already had an opportunity prior to this, Thunder Rosa will be entering the match at number 1. Kamille, Mone & Grace won’t be in the gauntlet match, leaving only 10 women on the roster to compete in that match. So who is the 11th woman? Well, that would be AJ Lee. She is ready to make a wrestling comeback in a major way.
Dominik Mysterio promo– Dominik Mysterio comes out waving the Canadian flag. He proceeds to insult Canada and the people in it. He thinks the best use for this flag would be to use it to wipe his ass. He goes to floss between his legs with the flag, but out comes Canada’s own Bret Hart. Bret says that he has always been a huge fan of his father, it is such a shame that Dominik has grown up to be the worst third generation wrestler he has ever seen. Mysterio calls Bret Hart to come down here and fight him in his home country. Bret would love to, but he is not allowed to wrestle anymore. However, he does know someone who would be happy to fight for his country. Out comes Tyler Breeze, who has his own issues with Mysterio.
Dominik Mysterio vs Tyler Breeze w/Bret Hart – Mysterio is a chicken shit heel constantly trying to run away from Breeze. Breeze is in firm control, but Mysterio manages to use his cheating ways to take control. He wears down Breeze, cheating where he can and taunting the Canadian crowd and Bret Hart at ringside. Eventually, Breeze fights his way back and defeats Mysterio with the Unprettier after 8 minutes. After the match, Bret Hart puts the sharpshooter onto Mysterio to pop the crowd. Then, Oba Femi appears. He comes to the ring and he sizes up the hitman. He starts pushing him around, Tyler Breeze quickly takes Bret out of the ring, but he turns around into a pop-up powerbomb. Dom Mysterio laughs at Breeze and he goes for a high five with Oba Femi. Femi drops Dom with a pop-up powerbomb too.
-Athena and Billie Starkz talk about the gauntlet eliminator. Mercedes Mone walks past and mocks Athena for not cracking the top 3. Jordynne Grace then appears who jokes about Mercedes Mone calling herself the best, but only getting the bronze medal. Mone says that will change in 2 weeks time.
CM Punk & Taz promo– Samantha Irvin introduces CM Punk & Taz for an interview segment. Taz speaks frankly, he respects CM Punk and he acknowledges that he was at one time the best in the world. But not anymore. Punk is an old dog who needs to be put down, whilst Bron Steiner is a hungry pitbull ready to maul him. Punk understands that time is no longer on his side, but he is still that hungry, outspoken saviour who wanted to lead the masses. He is still that dedicated fighter who has won world championships everywhere that he has been. He is still the voice of the voiceless who forced the wrestling industry into change. Before he can continue, Bron Steiner appears and attacks Punk. He locks in the Steiner Recliner and Punk passes out. FTR ran out and broke the hold and knocked him out of the ring. Punk comes to, grabbing his throat.
-The Acclaimed say FTR should be less worried about their friend and more about their match next week. ‘Powerhouse’ Will Hobbs walks by and tells Max he likes his rhymes.
Authors of Pain w/Paul Ellering vs War Machine w/Lady Rowe – The AOP are still looking for their first points in the World Tag League whilst War Machine have 2 points. This is a big clash of big men with big moves. Anytime Ellering considers getting himself involved, Lady Rowe is there to stop him. Luckily for him though, the AOP are good enough to get the win on their own. They hit the Super Collider and get the win after 16 minutes, earning them their first 2 points.
-A pre-recorded segment with Miro. He clutches his crucifix and questions his connection with God. He has been a loyal follower and soldier, but he feels like he has been lost and left behind. He plans to do some soul searching and figure himself out.
Drive-Thru Interview w/Ricky Starks – Jim Cornette and Charly Caruso welcome Ricky Starks and immediately ask about his feud with Eddie Kingston, they think this has gone too far over a joke. Starks says this is not wholly about the jokes. He has known Eddie for a few years, they have wrestled a few times and anytime it comes down to 1 on 1, Starks wins every time. Why? Because he is better than Eddie Kingston. Who does Kingston think he is mocking Starks’ loss in the tournament? They may have both been eliminated in the same round, but they are not on the same level. He is leagues above Eddie, always has been. Then, a couple weeks ago Eddie stole a lucky victory over him and it was humiliating. He had to save face and remind the viewers why he is the ‘Stroke Daddy’ and why he is ‘Absolute’. So he broke Eddie’s hand. Starks laughs, but his laugh turns into a scream as Eddie Kingston, dressed incognito, lunges onto the set and starts beating up Starks. Security manages to pull him off, Kingston is screaming “an eye for an eye”.
Zack Sabre Jr vs Jeff Cobb, NWA World Title Tournament Quarter-Final – ZSJ has another battle against rival Jeff Cobb, they have proven chemistry together and can put on a classic. Zack uses strikes and submissions to wear down Cobb. Cobb is deceivingly agile as well as overwhelmingly powerful. They wrestle a near 30 minute match, really pushing it towards the time limit. But, after 27 gruelling minutes Jeff Cobb hits Tour of the Islands to win the match and be the second man to reach the semi-finals.
-Commentary tease what is coming on the next show; 2 Quarter-Final matches including MJF vs LA Knight, CM Punk in action, FTR vs The Acclaimed and we will hear from England’s own Wade Barrett with a huge announcement.
Walter promo – Walter comes out holding a document in his hand. He is excited for 2025, which will be a great year for him. Whilst he waits to find out who he will fight in the semi-finals, this challenge from Bryan Danielson will be a great way to keep him busy. They wrestled once in 2008 and Danielson won, but both of them are far different athletes now. Walter has surpassed Danielson in every way. In his hand, he does not have a contract for the match like most of us assume. It is a waiver. He demands Danielson come out and sign this waiver. Walter refuses to be held responsible, when the doctors cannot fix him up to wrestle again. Danielson comes out and he warns Walter that he may be older but he is not fragile. He doesn’t need to sign a waiver to risk his livelihood. Walter says he will not wrestle Danielson without reassurance he won’t sue. Danielson signs the waiver and decides to give Walter a little taster. He headbutts Walter, he goes for the running knee but Walter gets out of the ring. He is furious at being humiliated. Danielson smiles and leads a Yes chant to close the show.
