Velocity Episode 5:

[Velocity intro]

Large pyro is going off as the camera man walks up the entrance ramp getting close to the fans, excited for the last Velocity before Ground Zero.

Corey Graves:

“Hello everyone! This is the final Velocity before the blockbuster pay-per-view this Saturday! We have four scheduled matches for you today which have a huge impact on the matches you shall see at Ground Zero.”

Renee Paquette:

“We’ll start off with the triple threat tag match between Fire ‘n Flava, Laycool and The Renegade Twins. Then it’ll be Charlotte Flair vs Liv Morgan. Followed by Kenny Omega against Raven with Kota Ibushi vs Kazuchika Okada being your main event tonight.”

Corey:

“It definitely is an action packed night, let’s not wait any longer!”

[Fire ‘N Flava make their entrance]

Corey:

“Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz have re-joined forces after a few years apart. They are set on elevating their careers by setting the tag division alight here in Monumental Wrestling.”

[Laycool make their entrance]

Renee:

“Laycool seem to think the world revolves around them. Layla and Michelle McCool are very adamant that the tag titles are made for them”

[The Renegade Twins make their entrance]

Corey:

“And finally, here come the Renegade Twins: Robyn, the slightly more chaotic and aggressive one and Charlette, the more calculated and observant of the two.”

Monumental Wresting women’s tag championship qualifier match.

Fire ‘N Flava vs Laycool vs The Renegade Twins

[The bell rings]

Kiera, Layla and Robyn start the match. All three women are circling each other, wating for an opportunity to pounce. Robyn strikes first with a straight forearm to Kiera. Layla takes the chance to join in, Robyn and her send Kiera into the only vacant corner as she retreats. Layla then grabs the hair of Robyn, yanking it down to send her falling. She follows it up by using a top mount to rain down punches to the legal Renegade twin. Kiera pulls herself to and sends a running pk to the back out Layla who falls from her mounted position. Kiera fires up the crowd.

Robyn crawls over to her team’s corner while Kiera is distracted with Layla. TAG! Charlette is in! She sneakily rushes over to Kiera who is in control… ROLL UP!

1! 2! … NO!

Kiera was caught by surprise but just about managed to pull herself together.

******

Tasha, Michelle and Robyn are legal. Robyn lays on the floor outside the ring whereas Tasha and Michelle are battling inside. Big punch, followed by another from Tasha. She quickly gets close for a belly-to-belly suplex!

1! 2! … Broken up by Layla.

Layla takes the chance to throw some punches at Tasha for having the audacity to pin her partner. This then brings in Kiera to even the numbers, both teams are sending punches, elbows and kicks with neither getting the upper hand straightaway. Charlette can be seen telling Robyn to stay back, she has recovered and is back to a vertical base, but they know the match can’t end if they stay back and let them hurt each other.

Fire ‘N Flava pick up Laycool and hit big vertical suplexes, Layla gets taken out of the ring by Kiera leaving only the legal members of their teams in the ring.

Steelz hits a big cutter!

Renee:

“The OKURRR! Could this be the win for Fire ‘N Flava?”

Charlette rushes the ring, Robyn follows suit. Charlette surprises Tasha by picking her up into high bear hug. Robyn bounces of the ropes and jumps for a lariat to Tasha! RENEGADE’S REVENGE!

1! 2! … 3! ROBYN PICKS UP THE WIN!

[Match time: 14 minutes 39 seconds]

Corey:

“The young team have picked up the win! But you can hardly call this an upset with their amazing teamwork and strategy.”

Renee:

“This means that the women’s tag title match is set for Ground Zero! Meltear vs Dream Dollz vs The Renegade Twins.”

[A graphic shows on the screen for the match Renee just mentioned]

The Renegade Twins raise their arms with slight smirks on their faces. Both Laycool and Fire ‘N Flava are upset on the outside as they feel hard done by.

[All 3 Dream Dollz make their entrance]

Chi Chi stays on the outside as Mariah and Zoe enter the ring, getting face to face with Charlette and Robyn. The camera shows a close up of the stare down until…

[Meltear make their entrance]

All three teams stand in the ring, sizing up one another. Meltear on the left, The Renegade Twins on the right and Dream Dollz on the top side of the ring with Chi Chi visible at ringside behind them.

Corey:

“Only one of these teams will come out of Ground Zero with the tag titles, who will it be? Find out this Saturday!”

[The camera cuts to backstage]

Nick Wayne is approached by Tatum Paxley.

Tatum Paxley:

“Hey.”

Tatum giggles after speaking to Nick.

Nick Wayne:

“What do you want?”

Tatum:

“I just wanted to see if you made your decision about joining The Flock. Raven could really use your help tonight against Omega and I’d like you with us too.”

Nick:

“Decision? I already said no.”

Tatum:

“Suit yourself.”

Tatum gives Nick a thumbs up, he looks startled and turns around.

GORE! Rhyno snaps Nick in half once again! As he’s writhing in pain, Tatum blows a kiss his way.

Tatum:

“Think about it… for me.”

[Cut to a training facility, in a ring with Lola Vice and Nina Drama]

Nina Drama:

“I am here with Lola Vice. Lola, what are we doing here today?”

Lola Vice:

“I have been trying to add a new submission to my arsenal, and I would like to show you.”

Nina:

“Oooo fun fun, which submission are we doing?”

Lola:

“The anaconda vice.”

Nina:

“That makes a lot of sense, great move plus it fits with you name too.”

Lola:

“Well let’s get started then.”

Lola does a step-by-step guide on how to do the anaconda vice and then shows how to do it on Nina without wrenching the move so she doesn’t hurt her.

Lola:

“Okay so now I’m going to slowly apply the pressure, as soon as you want out, just tap, okay?”

Nina:

“Understood.”

Lola slowly applies the pressure until Nina taps out.

Nina coughs and tries to catch her breath.

Nina:

“Well, I can definitely see why it’s a good move.”

Lola:

“Now it’s your turn to show what you learnt.”

Nina applies the moves until Lola taps out.

Nina:

“Well thank you so much for teaching me what you have been learning.”

Lola:

“And thank you for joining me, you did very well.”

Nina:

“That’s it from us then, back to the arena.”

[Charlotte Flair makes her entrance]

Corey:

“Here comes the queen, looking to add another world title to her resume. She’s trying to prove to herself that she hasn’t lost the magic touch.”

[Liv Morgan makes her entrance with Raquel Rodriguez]

Renee:

“Now Liv Morgan arrives with her bestie Raquel. It seems Dominik still isn’t coming out with her as he has his own problems to deal with, but we shall see him later tonight.”

Monumental Wrestling women’s world title tournament, semi-final.

Charlotte Flair vs Liv Morgan

Charlotte and Liv start off with a collar and elbow tie-up, they jostle for position. Flair gains the upper hand by landing a quick armdrag. Liv jumps back up and gets caught by a chop.

Charlotte Flair:

“WOO!”

Liv turns the tide with a dropkick to the left knee, followed by a running crossbody.

1! Kickout at 1!

Liv picks up Charlotte and whips her into the corner to go for a running knee, but it’s side-stepped! Chop by Flair to Liv in the corner, she sends many, many more her way as the crowd encourage her, counting along until she hits ten.

******

Liv lays on her back in the ring, Charlotte grabs the leg… FIGURE FOUR! BRIDGING TO THE FIGURE EIGHT!

Renee:

“Liv is but fingertips away from the bottom rope! Will she reach it, or will she tap?”

Raquel rushes around to where Liv is trying to reach to, giving her words of encouragement but when it looks like they won’t be enough she pushes the rope closer, just intime for Liv to reach and cause a rope-break.

Charlotte speaks to the ref, annoyed at the interference from Raquel but they explain that they didn’t see anything so they can’t do anything.

Charlotte sets up for Natural Selection, but Liv shoves her into the ropes. Charlotte tries to land a big lariat, but it’s ducked, Liv goes for a roll up. She puts her feet on the ropes; Raquel holds them for even more leverage!

1! 2! … 3! LIV HEADS TO THE FINAL!

[Match time: 16 minutes 4 seconds]

Liv rolls out of the ring to hug Raquel. Charlotte is in the ring arguing with the ref that Raquel helped cheat again.

Corey:

“Liv will face the winner of Mercedes Mone and Trish Stratus this Saturday at Ground Zero for the right to be the inaugural women’s world champion.”

Renee:

“Konnan will definitely be pleased with this result, but the job isn’t done yet, one more huge match left until glory.”

[Camera cuts to backstage]

Christy Hemme:

“I’m here with someone whose stock has been rising quite a lot over the last year or two, could you please introduce yourself.”

Psycho Mike:

“My name… is Psycho Mike. And I am… a piece of shit.”

The crowd pop loud. “Piece of shit” chants break out across the arena.

Mike:

“I use every trick in the book to get the win; I don’t hide what I do. I don’t hide it because I can’t control it. I am a piece of shit; it runs through my veins. I will win, no matter the cost.”

Christy:

“Thank you, Mike.”

[Camera cuts back to the arena]

During the interview, Carlito entered the ring and has set up his talk show Carlito’s Cabana. Palm trees and a wooden bar make up some of the scenery along with three deck chairs: one for Carlito and two for his guests.

[Dominik Mysterio and Low-Ki make their entrance]

Carlito:

“I’d like to say you guys are pretty cool. But Dominik, what’s going on with your hatred of Mascara Dorada?”

Dominik Mysterio:

“First of all, I would like to congratulate Liv Morgan on winning her match, even though it was clear she was going to win. She WILL become your world champion. I don’t have much to say about Mascara Dorada, he was in L.A.X’s way and needed to be dealt with.”

Carlito:

“And what role does Low-Ki play in all this?”

Dominik:

“He’s our hitman and bodyguard. He is crazy and we’d much rather have him fighting for us than against.”

[Mascara Dorada makes his entrance]

As Mascara gets into the ring, Dominik stands behind Low-Ki.

Mascara Dorada:

“I’d say he’s more of a coward, the only person more cowardly than him is you Dom.”

Low-Ki steps forward while Dom stays back.

Dominik:

“YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH! I’m sick of you getting in our way, you’re causing us nothing but trouble.”

Mascara:

“Well why don’t you do something about it rather that standing behind your boy.”

Dominik:

“I don’t have to do anything you say. You demands are worthless.”

Mascara:

“Worthless is probably how your father refers to you.”

[Dario Cueto comes out and stands on the stage]

Dario Cueto:

“Now, I’ve really tried to not get too hands on to let things play out. However, I can see how much you two despise each other and I don’t want this to get out of control so how about this. At Ground Zero, there will be a four-way match for the mystery title. Obviously, the stipulation won’t be announced until the day but, I would like to announce the participants. First there will be Psycho Mike, I liked what he had to say earlier and I believe he should be involved. Secondly, Kyle Fletcher, he had an impressive outing a few weeks ago on Heat and Don Callis made a strong argument for his involvement. And as for the last two competitors, Dominik Mysterio and Mascara Dorada.”

The crowd erupts with enthusiasm.

Mascara looks happy and Dom looks pissed.

Corey:

“There you have it folks, a four-way match-up for the men’s mystery title!”

[A graphic shows on the screen for the men’s mystery title match just announced]

[Camera cuts to a bar, it’s zoomed in to two bottles of beer. It slowly zooms out to show Bobby Roode on the left and Mickie James on the right at the bar.]

Bobby Roode:

“I failed. Potentially my last chance at a world title. And I failed.”

Mickie James:

“I understand. I had my opportunity dashed by a conniving Liv Morgan. I’m past my prime, maybe I’m not championship worthy anymore.”

Bobby:

“You know what, I’ve been considering retirement.”

Mickie:

“At this point, I agree.”

There’s a silence for about five seconds before two beer bottles are placed either side of the two as they have been approached.

[The camera slowly zooms out to show Adam Page next to Bobby and Magnum T.A standing next to Mickie]

Both Adam and Magnum are wearing cowboy hats.

Magnum T.A:

“You two ain’t done by a long shot. There’s not a chance we’re going to let you two retire. I have unfinished business and so do you.”

Adam Page:

“It’s time for us to do some Cowboy Shit. Are you in partners?”

Mickie:

“I’m in.”

Bobby:

“Me too.”

[Cut back to the arena]

[Kenny Omega makes his entrance]

Corey:

“The best bout machine is here and he’s setting his sights on this Saturday. Championship glory is close but still so far. He will have to be at his best today.”

[Raven makes his entrance with Rhyno and Tatum Paxley]

Renee:

“Here comes the very questionable Raven. His Flock are set to disrupt the flow of this match; Kenny will need to be at his best to advance.”

Monumental Wrestling men’s world championship tournament, semi-final.

Kenny Omega vs Raven

[The bell rings]

Omega is moving fairly quickly around the ring as opposed to Raven who is mostly pivoting in place. Raven tries to motion Kenny towards him and he does. Omega cautiously approaches Raven who suddenly pops him with a nasty forearm strike, catching him off guard.

Raven pokes Kenny in the eyes before hitting a quick body slam. He then drags him to the ropes, draping Omega across the middle one so he can press his knee on back of his neck, using the top rope to choke him. The referee counts to try and get Raven to break the illegal hold and he obliges only when he gets to the count of four.

Omega rolls to the outside to catch his breath, but Raven follows him. Raven tosses Omega into the steel steps and drives him back first into the barricade. Raven rolls back in the ring and starts talking to the referee who has to turn his back to Kenny.

Tatum and Rhyno make their way over to Omega and start kicking him while he’s down. The referee hears the crowds’ loud displeasure and turns around. He doesn’t see Rhyno or Tatum kicking but sees them standing over the body of Kenny. He shouts at them telling them they’re ejected for trying to help Raven who is furious.

******

Back in the ring and Omega is mustering a comeback. He hits a snap dragon suplex, then a back breaker, followed by a big backdrop driver. Kenny climbs up to the top rope, waiting for Raven to stand up. As Raven stands up Omega jumps for a diving crossbody, but Raven grabs the referee and pulls him to take the hit. Kenny looks concerned but receives a swift kick to the dick.

Raven heads to the outside and brings a steel chair into the ring. Cracks it across the back of a recovering Omega. He places the chair on the floor… EVENFLOW DDT TO THE CHAIR!

1! 2! … 3! But the referee is still down… 4! 5! 6!

Raven finally realises that his plan hasn’t worked out. He shakes the referee, trying to revive him. Reven tries for another Evenflow DDT but gets caught with a half-and-half suplex. Raven stumbles up… V-TRIGGER!

Omega lifts him up… ONE-WINGED ANGEL!

The referee crawls into position.

1! 2! … 3! Kenny Omega knocks off Raven and The Flock!

Omega has his hand raised as Raven leaves, vowing revenge, someday.

Corey:

“The first half of your men’s world championship is set Kenny Omega will face the winner of Kota Ibushi vs Kazuchika Okada which will happen later tonight.”

[The camera cuts to L.A.X’s hangout. Konnan, Homicide and Hernanez sat at a table]

Konnan:

“Saturday is the day. You men will bring back honour to the group. L.A.X will be the rulers of Monumental Wrestling. War Machine, you don’t stand a chance against these killers. You will be brutalised for simply standing in our way. I’d like to put a notice out to everyone in Monumental Wrestling, watch what happens to War Machine. Watch what happens to people that stand in our way and try to fight a force of which is uncontainable.

To the woman that has to stand in the way of Liv Mogan on Saturday, I would like to apologise. Or at least I would if whomever wins wasn’t digging their own grave by taking the match. I set her a goal of winning the women’s world championship and once I set someone a goal, they do what ever it takes to complete it. Make me proud Liv, you too boys.”

[The camera cuts to War Machine in the woods]

A montage of War Machine shows them chopping wood, flipping tires, sparing with each other among other intense training methods.

Hanson:

“Homicide, Hernandez, this Saturday, you go to war. A war you will not come out of unharmed.”

Rowe:

“We aren’t here to talk, we’re here to fight.”

Another montage shows War Machine preparing for war.

[Cut back to the arena]

[Kota Ibushi makes his entrance]

Renee:

“Kota has a big task today, the Golden Star steps into the ring with the Rainmaker. It sucks that both of these men can’t be in the finals fighting for the world title, but that’s tournaments for you. It can pit two favourites against each other and Kota Ibushi will try to be the one who makes it.”

[Kazuchika Okada makes his entrance with Don Callis]

Corey:

“And here comes Okada with that menace Don Callis behind him. They will have been talking strategy all week I’m sure. Ibushi will have to be at his best to overcome this man.”

Monumental Wrestling men’s world championship tournament, semi-final.

Kota Ibushi vs Kazuchika Okada

[The bell rings]

Immediately Okada rolls out the ring to talk to Callis. He’s trying to ice the match-up to attempt to frustrate Ibushi who is clearly raring to fight. The referee gets to the count of five before Okada finally rolls back into the ring and goes straight for a slap to Ibushi. He stands there stoic but clearly annoyed. Okada goes for a hip toss but Ibushi kips up right away. He returns with a hurricanrana but Okada lands on his feet. It’s a stalemate. The arena applauses with excitement.

Okada starts working the neck, starting with a headlock takedown into a standard seated headlock. He follows this up with two consecutive uppercuts and a double stomp when he’s grounded.

The Rainmaker sends Kota to the ringside area so he can whip him into the apron. Then he sets up and executes a draping DDT to the floor. Okada heads back to the ring to try and achieve a count-out victory. The referee gets to account of 8 before Ibushi makes it back inside. However, as soon as he gets in the ring, he’s instantly met with a big boot.

1! 2! … NOT QUITE!

******

Okada runs for a corner splash but Kota steps out of the way just in time, then he catches him with a snap rana into a standing moonsault.

1! 2! … Okada kicks out!

Kota hits a big half-and-half suplex, Okada catches his breath by managing to move to the ringside area but he won’t have long. Ibushi jumps up… GOLDEN TRIANGLE MOONSAULT!

Renee:

“This is crazy! Both men are using every bit of energy they have to inflict damage on the other.”

Both men get back into the ring, Ibushi tries for a lariat but gets met with a big dropkick. Then another! He picks up the Golden Star… tombstone piledriver! Okada grabs the wrist, spins him around… V-TRIGGER! Followed by a BOMAYE!

1! 2! …. OKADA KICKS OUT!

The crowd is at a fever pitch.

They both rise to their feet, Okada strikes with a forearm, Kota responds with the same. Back and forth they go, testing their will power. Okada gets the upper hand, hitting three strikes in a row. Ibushi’s eyes seem to glaze over, sending him into a “now or never” mode. He lands a flurry of palm strikes ending with a vicious roundhouse kick, flooring the Rainmaker.

Ibushi signals the end. He tries for the Kamigoye but Okada ducks and hits a RAINMAKER!!!! Both men collapse, unable to capitalise. However, Okada is still holding onto the wrist. The referee begins the ten count. Okada stands by the number seven and pulls up Ibushi for a second Rainmaker… IBUSHI HITS A BRUTAL KNEE STRAIGHT TO THE JAW! Okada crumbles to his knees.

Ibushi smirks, pulls down his knee pad… KAMIGOYE!!!!!

1! 2! … 3! IT’S ALL OVER, YOUR WORLD TITLE MATCH IS SET!

Ibushi collapses to his knees, exhausted, both men are. Don Callis is upset his client lost but the visible stress that coloured his face throughout the match has passed. Kota stands, hand raised by the referee until…

[Kenny Omega makes his entrance]

Omega gets into the ring, stands face-to-face with his best friend Ibushi. No words are exchanged, just a stare down. Commentary says nothing, the crowd are roaring with hype, duelling chants of “I-bush-I” and “O-meg-a” echo through out the arena. They know what will happen on Saturday and so do you.

[The screen fades to black on the close up of both men face-to-face]
