Fixing WWE Divisions Finale: The Women’s United States Championship

I. Ramedies By I. Ramedies 6 Sep 2025 4 min read

Over the past year, WWE’s divisions have lost momentum, with some titles barely getting the spotlight they deserve. In this finale of my Fixing WWE Divisions series, I want to shine a light on a championship that never truly had the chance to thrive—the WWE Women’s United States Championship.

This article breaks down:

  • The current state of the division
  • When the division started to decline
  • What the division desperately needs
  • My fantasy booking plan to rebuild it

The Current Women’s United States Championship Division

Looking across WWE’s official roster, SmackDown Hotel, and my own All Your Wrestling roster database, only a handful of women currently fit into the U.S. Title picture. In alphabetical order, they are:

  1. B-Fab
  2. Candice LeRae
  3. Chelsea Green
  4. Giulia (current champion)
  5. Kiana James
  6. Michin
  7. Nikki Kross
  8. Zelina Vega

The problem is clear: with Giulia holding the title, none of these names feel like credible challengers. She’s operating on the same level as WWE’s world title contenders. Even Chelsea Green, who could be an entertaining rival, doesn’t quite fit as she’s also a heel. Without new blood, the division feels stuck.

When Did the Division Start Declining?

The decline can be traced back to the aftermath of Michin vs. Chelsea Green, which should have been followed up on SmackDown after Saturday Night’s Main Event. Instead, the booking stalled.

From then, it was the same cycle of Michin, B-Fab, and Chelsea until WrestleMania season. Zelina Vega briefly held the title after WrestleMania, but her reign lacked meaningful stories. Once Giulia won the championship, the division went silent again—she’s had just one real interaction with Michin since.

What the Division Needs

The Women’s U.S. Title division needs a fresh, credible star—someone who can go toe-to-toe with Giulia while also carrying babyface momentum.

My pick? Jordynne Grace. She’s main-roster ready, powerhouse strong, and has the presence to anchor the division. More importantly, she gives fans someone to believe in.

My Fantasy Booking: Resetting the Division

Here’s how I’d reintroduce life into the Women’s United States Championship picture:

  • Royal Rumble build: On the go-home SmackDown, Jordynne Grace debuts by saving Michin and B-Fab from a Chelsea Green and Secret Service beatdown. She spears Chelsea, drops Piper and Alba, and immediately looks like a star.
  • Royal Rumble: Jordynne eliminates Chelsea but gets robbed by interference from the Secret Service.
  • Elimination Chamber build: A six-woman tag (Chelsea & Secret Service vs. Jordynne, Michin & B-Fab) where Jordynne pins Chelsea clean.
  • WrestleMania 41: Jordynne Grace vs. Chelsea Green for the Women’s U.S. Title. Jordynne wins, resetting the division.

Long-Term Women’s U.S. Championship Story

  • Jordynne defends successfully through spring and summer.
  • At Evolution, Giulia eliminates her from a multi-woman match, sparking a feud.
  • SummerSlam 2026: Giulia defeats Jordynne for the U.S. Title, beginning a Gunther-style dominant reign.

From here, Giulia becomes the “final boss” of the midcard women’s division, defending the title in dream matches across NXT, SmackDown, and Raw. She holds the championship all the way to WrestleMania 43, where she narrowly survives a challenge from Zelina Vega in a Chad Gable vs. Gunther-style classic.

By WrestleMania 44, Giulia is desperate and unhinged. In the Royal Rumble, she goes toe-to-toe with Sol Ruca, leading to an explosive feud. At WrestleMania 44 in Boston, Sol Ruca finally dethrones Giulia after hitting the Sol Snatcher out of nowhere, closing the show as the new WWE Women’s United States Champion.

Final Thoughts

The Women’s United States Championship could be one of WWE’s most exciting divisions if booked with care. By introducing Jordynne Grace as a breakout babyface and giving Giulia a legendary, Gunther-style reign, WWE can transform the belt into a true proving ground for future stars.

And ultimately, crowning Sol Ruca as champion creates the next chapter in elevating women’s wrestling within WWE.

What do you think? Should WWE invest more in the Women’s U.S. Title, or would you book the division differently?
