AEW RANKINGS: ELITE 15 – AUGUST
Here we are for the monthly update of AEW‘s Elite 15. On a monthly basis we are going to use a carefully selected criteria to Power Rank the Top 15 most Elite of All Elite Wrestling. This will show us who AEW are pushing the most on our screens. This will definitely leave out a few big names due to them either not wrestling much or wins aren’t so important to their current story.
HOWEVER, we have added a lot more positions for people to see. So this time the list will reach around 45 AEW Wrestlers. But only 15 will get a major feature.
Criteria
Are they a Champion? + 10 for a Singles Champion and +5 for a Tag or Trios Champion.
Win/Loss record: +1 for a win -1 for a loss.
PPVWins/PPVAppearances: +3 for a win and +1 for making it to a PPV.
Tournament Wins: +2 for winning any match considered a Tournament match.
Win %: If you have a 100% record, that’s 10 points. 83.8% record, that’s 8.3 points.
As per request, I’ve gone and put together an extended list of over 45 names. So let’s do that first. Sorry if some names are missed. You may see some obvious ones off but when doing this I decided that a competitor had to have at least 5 matches in AEW before being eligible for these rankings.

15. MEGAN BAYNE

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 17 = 17
Losses: 6 = -6
PPVWins: 1 = 3
PPVApps: 3 = 3
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 73.9 = 7.3
TOTAL: 24.3
Megan Bayne has been dominating the women’s division since she arrived in AEW and now she’s made it on our list, the first non women’s champion in the Elite 15. Having only lost 1 singles match in AEW so far, Megan has been an incredible addition to the women’s division in AEW.
14. Cash Wheeler

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 15 = 15
Losses: 5 = -5
PPVWins: 1 = 3
PPVApps: 2 = 2
Tourn.Ws: 2 = 4
Win %: 75 = 7.5
TOTAL: 26.5
Cash is the 2nd new entrant as he moves from 16th into 15th position. Cash climbs ahead of Dax, his FTR partner, with only 1 singles match this year vs Dax’s 3. It’s been a great month for FTR with 4 wins 1 loss and possibly a Tag Title shot at the next PPV.
13. swerve strickland

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 15 = 15
Losses: 6 = -6
PPVWins: 3 = 9
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 71.4 = 7.1
TOTAL: 29.1
Swerve breaks into our list, moving from 17th to 13th, gaining 9.9 points in July. 5 wins and 0 losses this month with a big match at All In and another coming at Forbidden Door. Hopefully Swerve can remain a constant in our top 15.
12. kenny omega

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 8 = 8
Losses: 2 = -2
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 5 = 5
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 80 = 8
TOTAL: 31
Only 1 loss this month, 0 wins for Kenny Omega. An incredible match but it didn’t go Kennys way and now, without a title, he has fallen down from 2nd place to 12th. We are unaware of what he will be doing in the future, but hopefully we see him again soon. Maybe a match at Forbidden Door?
11. konosuke takeshita

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 20 = 20
Losses: 7 = -7
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 1 = 2
Win %: 74 = 7.4
TOTAL: 32.4
Konosuke Takeshita, the workhorse of AEW, still with the most matches in the company, adding 3 more in July. He will finally take a break this August but not to rest, to wrestle more. As Konosuke competes in the G1 Climax this year.
10. powerhouse hobbs

Champion?: YES = 5
Wins: 18 = 18
Losses: 5 = -5
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 2 = 2
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 78.2 = 7.8
TOTAL: 33.8
Hobbs moves up 1 position this month, with 2 wins and 1 loss, but an important PPV Victory at All In. Hobbs remains one of the busiest wrestlers in AEW and I hope, come November, he can be a welcome addition to the Continental Classic.
9. samoa joe

Champion?: YES – 5
Wins: 15 = 15
Losses: 2 = -2
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 2 = 2
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 88.2 = 8.8
TOTAL: 34.8
Samoa Joe has climbed back up the ranking this month, with only 2 matches, 0 losses, but one of them being a last minute addition to the All In main show. Joe has done enough to crack into the top 10 of All Elite 15.
8. will ospreay

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 17 = 17
Losses: 4 = -4
PPVWins: 3 = 9
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 2 = 4
Win %: 80.9 = 8.0
TOTAL: 38
Ospreay set out this month to take out the Young Bucks and I believe he succeeded. He may be the one on the shelf right now but I’d rather be him than one of the Young Bucks right now. Amazing month, another Match of the year contender. Ospreay just doing Ospreay things in July. Speedy recovery Will.
7. kyle fletcher

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 17 = 17
Losses: 7 = -7
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 1 = 2
Win %: 70.8 = 7
TOTAL: 39
Big month for Kyle Fletcher as he competed in 6 matches in July, losing at the All In PPV but on the last day of July managing to win the TNT Championship against Dustin Rhodes. Significantly boosting him from 14th to 7th. Great month, well deserved Kyle Fletcher.
6. shelton benjamin

Champion?: YES = 5
Wins: 12 = 12
Losses: 1 = -1
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 92 = 9.2
TOTAL: 41.2
Benjamin had a singles match in July, a triple threat to be exact. He was unsuccessful, thus adding the first loss to his record of 2025. However it has not seen a drop in rankings as the Hurt Syndicate, as a whole, remain strong as a unit.
5. bobby lashley

Champion?: YES = 5
Wins: 12 = 12
Losses: 0 = -0
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 100 = 10
TOTAL: 43
Lashley only had 2 matches this month, winning both and maintaining his 100% dominate win/loss record. Is anyone going to be able to pull these tag titles away from the Hurt Syndicate? I truly don’t know.
4. kazuchika okada

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 13 = 13
Losses: 0 = 0
PPVWins: 3 = 9
PPVApps: 3 = 3
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 100 = 10
TOTAL: 45
Great month for Okada having beaten his long time rival Kenny Omega for the new Unified Championship and maintaining his 100% record for 2025. Swerve Strickland is next for Okada, will he be able to fend off the mogul or with this be the end of his 100% record.
3. ‘timeless’ toni storm

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 17 = 17
Losses: 4 = -4
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 80.9 = 8.0
TOTAL: 47
Toni has added plenty of points to her score this month. She holds her 3rd place position as it is very hard to move things at the top of the list. Toni handed Mercedes her first singles loss in AEW at All In, with one of the best women’s matches of the 21 century. Come Forbidden Door, Athena will be next for Toni.
2. ‘hangman’ adam page

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 15 = 15
Losses: 2 = -2
PPVWins: 3 = 9
PPVApps: 3 = 3
Tourn.Ws: 3 = 6
Win %: 88.2 = 8.8
TOTAL: 49.8
A much busier July for Hangman as he finally brings the AEW Mens World Championship back to our screens and boy does he deserve it. The main character now holds the gold and has sky rocketed to 2nd position in our rankings. Who steps up to face Hangman at Forbidden Door?
1. mercedes mone

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 12 = 12
Losses: 3 = -3
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 5 = 5
Tourn.Ws: 3 = 6
Win %: 80 = 8
TOTAL: 50
Still in the No.1 spot on our list, but only barely, is the CEO of AEW Mercedes Mone. Mercedes logged in 1 win and 1 loss for the month and while the big match this month didn’t go her way, she remains at the peak of the All Elite 15.
This concludes our list for August. We will track everyone’s results and bring together a new Elite 15 same time next month. Keep an eye out!
