The Vision has suffered another major blow on the road to WrestleMania. During the opening contest of last night’s Raw in Atlanta, Bronson Reed sustained a legitimate injury that forced an immediate change to the night’s proceedings.
The Injury Incident
Reed was competing in a high stakes Triple Threat match against Jey Uso and “Original” El Grande Americano for the final spot in the Men’s Elimination Chamber.
Medical personnel attended to the powerhouse at ringside while the match continued. Michael Cole later confirmed on the broadcast that Reed has suffered a distal biceps tear. This type of injury typically requires surgery and carries a recovery timeline of four to six months, effectively ruling him out of WrestleMania in April.
Creative Shift and The Vision’s Future
Reports surfacing after the show indicate that Reed was the original choice to win the match and advance to the Elimination Chamber. Following the injury, an audible was called in the ring which saw Jey Uso claim the victory instead.
This development is a massive setback for Paul Heyman’s stable. With Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker already on the shelf, The Vision is now down to Austin Theory and Logan Paul as its only active competitors. The group has been a dominant force on Raw, but this string of injuries leaves their plans for the Showcase of the Immortals in significant doubt.
