AEW Collision – September 9th, KFC Yum! Centre, Louisiana, Kentucky.
Collision starts with a recap of last week’s highlights, relevant to today’s episode, we get a recaps of the BCC attacking people backstage and then being confronted by the House of Black, brawl ensues. We see the highlights of Shida vs Ruby and the confrontation of the women’s division afterwards. Now we move to Dynamite, but not last week, the week before, when Konosuke attacked Kenny Omega and stoode over his broken body. Now to this past week’s Dynamite we get some words from MJF and CM Punk and the finish of that match. The screen fades to black.
MJF INTERVIEW
Renee: “Welcome to Collision everybody, right now, I’m meant to be speaking with MJF to find out who he’s choice to face CM Punk is tonight, but he’s still not here.” We here MJF off camera.
MJF: “Guys, I really don’t need this thing.”
Adam Cole: “Dude, it’s for the best, you need to relax.”
MJF rolls into shot in a wheelchair and neck brace, pushed by Rodrick Strong. Adam Cole and Kyle O’Rielly are with him. Max is clearly unhappy.
Renee: “Max, Undisputed Kingdom, hello. Uh, Max, are you okay?”
MJF: “I’m fine Renee, more than fine see all this–” Max begins to stand up but all the Undisputed Kingdom stop him and sit him back down.
MJF: “Alright, guys. I’ll sit. Renee, I am banged up from my match with Hobbs. It’s not this bad, but… *sighs* Rodrick had this wheelchair and neck brace and these guys all thought I’d benefit from this, since I did tweak my back and neck on Wednesday.”
Rodrick: “That’s right. We stay neck strong in the Undisputed Kingdom, I wouldn’t travel anywhere without a wheel chair and neck brace, just in case. I’m so happy I can help Max today.”
Renee: “That’s actually very sweet. Anyway, Max, I believe you have an announcement regarding the main event for tonights show?”
MJF: “I do, now let’s talk to CM Punk directly. Hey Punker, you worthless parasite to relevancy, you have a match tonight against an opponent of my choosing. I promise you tonight, you won’t he able to beat this man. He is more than 10 years younger than you and that’s not saying much. He’s also really good at picking best friends. That’s right! My best friend ADAM COLE BAY BAY!”
Adam Cole: “Tonight Punk, you step into the ring with one of the best wrestlers on the freaking planet and we give wrestling fans around the world a match up that a few years ago they thought they’d never see. I’ll make sure that you will not go into All Out at 100%. Because my name is, Adam Cole.” The crowd finishes the catchphrase. ‘BAY BAY’
Renee: “You heard it here first, our Main event, CM Punk VS Adam Cole tonight. This will sure be amazing. Now let’s start the show.”
SHOW OPENING
Pryo lights up the stage and we get a wide shot of the KFC Yum! Centre. We see hungry fans, eager to get the show started, 10,800 Strong.
Tony Schiavone: “This is Collision, we are coming to you live from Louisiana, Kentucky, in the KFC Yum! Centre, and live on MAX. It’s Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness calling the action tonight with what should be a packed show with incredible action tonight.”
Nigel: “That’s right Tony, I hear we have 6 of the best women sharing the ring together tonight? I’m giddy just thinking bout it!”
Tony: “Right you are Nigel. The Outcasts with face Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker in a women’s trios match. Also tonight, in our main event, we just found out CM Punk will faec Adam Cole in a first time ever bout.”
Nigel: “That’s a match that could sell out arenas, maybe 6-8 years ago, but we’re still excited for it tonight! We also have Konosuke Takeshita, of the Callis family, taking on Dani Garcia in another TNT Gauntlet Qualifier. I know where my money is.”
Tony: “And coming up next, we have the first of two matches between the Blackpool Combat Club and The House of Black, its Claudio Castagnoli vs Buddy Mathews.”
CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI vs BUDDY MATHEWS – TNT Title Gaunlet Qualifer
The arena fades to black, nothing but phone lights visible in the arena as Buddy Mathews comes out to the ring with the other members of House of Black. Brody, Julia and Malakai Black.
The BCC comes out, together, through the crowd. Claudio in the lead. Before the bell rings, the referee instructs both extra members of these factions to leave and stay in the back and they oblige. Both men now in the ring, the ref calls for the bell.
Claudio and Buddy meet in the middle of the ring, staring each other down. Claudio immediately jumps in with upper cuts, catching Buddy off guard. He gets Buddy into the corner where Buddy finally ducks an uppercut and turns around connecting with a big boot in the corner. Thinking he has a moment to recover now, Buddy walks away, towards the ropes, he turns and Claudio is charging at him. Quickly, Buddy ducks, leaving Claudio to tumble out of the ring. Before Claudio hits the floor Buddy is already running the ropes and dives over for a Tope Con Hilo but Claudio catches Buddy.
Claudio lifts Buddy up and power bombs him on the apron. He pulls Buddy down from the apron and throws him into the barricade. Now, with a running head start, Claudio hits a running uppercut, launching Buddy over the barricade and into the timekeepers area. Claudio flexes to the crowd as Buddy tries to crawl his way out of the timekeepers area. Claudio catches Buddy crawling out and deadlifts him up and hits a gut wrench power bomb onto the ring apron. Claudio gets on the apron with Buddy and looks for a Neutraliser on the apron. Buddy uses the bottom rope to lock his leg in and avoid the move, he breaks free and quickly kicks Claudio in the leg, stomps on his foot and hits a V-Trigger. Claudio doesn’t drop but slouches over, Buddy grabs him around the neck, steps into the ring and hits a hanging DDT. After a short period of control, Claudio overpowers Buddy and for the next 5 minutes, the match is all Claudio. Targeting the back of Buddy.
Claudio has Buddy up on the top rope, looking for a superplex. Claudio lifts Buddy up and holds him there, and holds him there, and holds him there longer, finally hitting the delayed superplex and the follows up with another suplex, but this time its a Jackhammer from Claudio. Pinfall attempt…1…2..Kick out by Buddy. Straight back into the offence, Claudio points to the middle turn buckle and picks up Buddy, looking for a long dart. As Claudio begins charging, Buddy slips out of his grip and pushes Claudio into the turnbuckle, when Claudio turns around, he is met with a shotgun drop kick. With Claudio down, but staggering, Buddy waste no time as he rushes into hitting a Curb Stomp on Claudio. He lifts Claudio back up and hits a Jackhammer of his own. Pinfall attempt…1…2. Claudio kicks out with authority.
Frustrated, Buddy gets straight back into his offence, looking to hold momentum. Buddy climbs to the top rope and waits for Claudio to reach his feet before hitting a Meteora but Claudio catches him again, dropping him immediately into the Giant Swing. Around and around Buddy goes while the crowd counts up to 15 before applauding and Claudio releases him. Now Claudio picks up Buddy and hits a Ricola Bomb. Pinfall attempt…1….2…BUDDY KICKS OUT. Claudio contests the count with the ref but is assured it was a two. He picks up Buddy and throws him into the corner again. He lifts up Buddy for a Gutwrench Powerbomb off the tope rope but Buddy hangs onto the ropes, forcing Claudio to release the hold. Buddy fights back and eventually slips under Claudios body, tucks his head in the corner and hits a super kick, then one more for good measure. Buddy gets under Claudio and lifts him into powerbomb position. Buddy starts to run with him and hits a Buckle Bomb and as Claudio falls into Buddy, he gets him up for a Brainbuster. Pinfall…1….2….CLAUDIO KICKS OUT.
Exhausted, Buddy throws Claudio into the corner again, looking for like an Avalanche Brain Buster. Before Buddy can begin to lift Claudio, his back gives out. Claudio quickly starts hammer fists into Buddy’s back then climbing his way down the apron while Buddy is draped on the top rope. Claudio climbs behind, lifts him to the top rope, while Claudio stands on the middle rope and lifts him up for an inverted superplex. Budd lands flat on his stomach and bounces as he hit the apron. He bounces so much so that he actually manages to get some feet under him and musters enough energy to hit a V-Trigger on Claudio before collapsing to the floor. The crowd give these two men a standing ovation for the match their putting on here.
Tony: “Wow, what an opening bout we have here, still no clear winner!”
Nigel: “We have to be into extra time here, both these men are running on nothing but steam and will power!”
Claudio and Buddy find themselves using the ropes on either side of the ring to pull themselves up. They turn and notice each other. They mouth a few words and the crowd stand in anticipation as both run at each other. Buddy ducks a lariat attempt, then on the return run Buddy goes for a V-Trigger while Claudio leaps into a running uppercut and its Claudio who ends up hitting his move. Buddy drops hard and Claudio waste no time hitting Buddy with a Neutraliser. Pinfall attempt…1…2….3.
CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI WINS via PINFALL 17 minutes.

THE ACCLAIMED vs BUTCHER & THE BLADE
After commercial, Butcher and Blade are already in the ring, their theme song just finishing.
The Acclaimed theme plays, and the crowd erupts. Max comes down, Billy and Bowens following, doing his usual rap. Referring to a local football team scandal and calling the Butcher and Blade happily married Bears. Anthony gets the crowd hyped and they all scissor together in the ring.
The bell rings, with Caster starting for the Acclaimed, Butcher stands in the middle of the ring. They lock up and Butcher gets the better of Caster initially, pushing him into a corner and choking him. He breaks it up on the refs count and Max slaps him across the face, angering Butcher. Max gets in Butchers face, talking shit. The Butcher looks up at him and hits a stiff forearm, knocking Max lights out and he falls into the corner. Butcher grabs him under the arms and tosses him across the ring, screaming at him as he lands. Max crawls over to Bowens for the tag.
Anthony comes in and immediately chops Butcher, no response. He chops again and Butcher chops back, to a much bigger reaction from Bowens. Bowens stomps on Butcher foot and that gets a reaction, he hits an elbow, then a forearm, followed but a chop and another forearm. He hits the ropes locking for a lariat but The Butcher reads it and hits a snap powerslam. Butcher drags Bowens into his corner, tags in the Blade and they double team toss Bowens across the ring, over to their corner and they flex on The Acclaimed. Bowen tags in Max the run at Butcher and Blade together, ducking punches and hitting back with chops and forearms, forcing the Butcher and Blade back a few steps. Acclaimed now right against the ropes see Butcher and Blade charging at them so they drop the top rope and watch as they throw themselves out of the ring. Quickly afterwards they turn, grab the top rope and leap over, successfully hitting dual Pescados. They embraces the surrounding crowd members and Max throws Blade back into the ring.
With Butcher still laid out on the outside. Max and Bowens spend some time working on Blade. Max chops Blade and he falls back into a forearm from Bowens, falling back towards Max, who picks up Blade for a big scoop slam. Max lifts up his legs and Bowens is waiting at the tope rope, they hits a Scissor Me Timbers on Blade. Max goes to pin…1…2…BLADE Kicks out. Suddenly Bowens is dragged out of the ring a hit with a headbutt from Butcher, then he throws him over the announce table. Butcher climbs up on the apron an hits another headbutt on Caster who stumbles back into a stunner from Blade and a Lariat from Butcher. Blade picks him up again and this time both men hit headbutts on Caster. Blade hits a sidewalk slam back breaker and the Butcher hits a leg drop. They looks for the pinfall 1…2…Max kicks out. Butcher makes his way to the top rope, Blade gets behind Caster and lifts him up in the electric chair. Butcher looks for the top rope lariat, hitting their verified finisher. Before he can leap off the top rope, Bowen comes into the picture, leaping over the top rope and hitting a top rope hurricinrana on Butcher. Caster then hits a poisonrana on Blade and signals Bowens to go up top. Caster hits Anthonys finisher, The Arrival and Bowens hits Casters finisher, The mic drop. Combined this is called Acclaim to Fame. Max goes to pin. 1…2…3
THE ACCLAIMED WIN via PINFALL 8 minutes
DARBY ALLIN, STING & NICK WAYNE COME OUT TO THE RING
Darby Allins music plays and he skates out to the ring with Sting and Nick Wayne following him.
Darby: “Alright guys, we are out here for two reasons. One is to congratulate my friend Nick here, you see Nick and I have go way way back and when he was 16, wrestling in DEFY, I had the privilege of offering him an AEW Contract. Now, he’s 18 and a few months old, you may have seen him wrestle a match or two around here lately but now we can officially say. Nick Wayne is ALL ELITE. 100%.”
The crowd cheer for Nick and give him a standing ovation. ‘You deserve it’ chants are loud in the building.
Darby: “Secondly, Nick wanted to say something.”
Nick: “Thanks Darby, truly. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you and I owe this to you. I have to ask though, I know I’m young but I still don’t understand how you forgave AR FOX for what he did to me.” Darby is about to speak but Nick cuts him off.
Nick: “I mean he left me in a pool of my own blood. In the ring you and I trained in. Ive been playing in that ring since I was 6 years old and… and you know my mum had to find me out there like that? I didnt wake up until I was at the hospital.” Nick is cracking with tears swelling up in his eyes, trying to get the words out.
Darby: “Nick, I am sorry for what happened to you. What me and FOX have been through, I can’t just throw him aside. Even after what he put you through, I know. We both know. He had Swerve in his ear, he wasn’t in his right mind. I don’t think we can judge FOX for what he did on his worse day. I really hope–“
Christians music plays and he comes out with the TNT Championship on his shoulder and Luchasaurus behind him.
Nigel McGuinness: “Its the TNT Champion. Bet you didn’t expect him to show up!”
Tony Schiavone: “Well, Luchasaurus is always following Christian. I’m not surprised to see him.
Christian: “I said a lot about your father before ALL IN but that was rude of me. I should’ve been asking you how your mother is doing. Perhaps I’ll just slide into her DMs to check on her. Darby, what is Nick Wayne, just a pity project for you? You don’t even pretend to care about his feelings. Do you think you’re a good guy? You should take after me, someone who never pretends to be something I’m not. Remember Nick, my offer for mentorship still stands.” Christian drops his mic and begins walking away.
STING: “Ahem, uh guys. Hello, I see the TNT Championship up there and I’m actually fighting for that belt at ALL OUT. I’m just wondering, who will be across the ring from me at ALL OUT? I see you have the belt Christian but I was watching some Youtube clips and I recall Luchasaurus actually won that belt. He fought hard for it. So, big man, if you look down Christians mouth and into his throat, and you find your prehistoric balls in there. I’ll see you at ALL OUT, champ.”
Christian is holding back Luchasaurus at the top of the ramp and they head backstage
KONOSUKE TAKESHITA vs DANIEL GARCIA – TNT Title Gaunlet Qualifer
Dani Garcia’s music plays, and he cokes out dancing to massive fan ovation.
Konosuke theme plays, and Don Callis comes out first, followed by Takeshita, masked up and locked in.
The bell rings and both men begin circling one another. Looking for an opening, measuring the other one out. They lock hands and Konosuke overpowers Dani but Dani moves quickly and gets behind Konosuke, then chops his back. Takeshita turns to hit Garcia but Dani ducks and gets behind Konosuke again, looking for another chop but Takeshita ducks it. Dani turns and grab Konosukes arm as he was looking for a lariat, Dani gets behind Konosuke and locks in a rear naked choke. Takeshita runs backward into the turn buckle but Dani doesn’t let go, he’s tries again and again, finally Dani let’s go, Takeshita is holding his neck in slight agony while Dani sprints at Konosuke and knocks him down with a chop block. Immediately, Dani puts him in an ankle lock. Takeshita fights out quickly, rolling onto his back and trying to kick Dani off, but that doesn’t work. Konosuke wraps his leg around Dani’s leg and pulls him in with closer to him, now locking in a gullitine choke. Dani has to drop the ankle lock and spreads his legs quickly and flips forward, now in a pinfall position. 1…2… Konosuke is forced to break the hold. Both men get up quickly, Dani looking to leap at Takeshita again but is met with a stiff and heavy forearm for Konosuke. Dropping Dani to the floor.
The crowd stand up and cheer for the early exchange between the two wrestlers. Konosuke pulls Dani to his feet with his trunks, he grabs Dani’s waist from behind and hits a release german suplex, sending Dani across the ring and into the corner. Takeshita kicks Dani while he’s down in the corner, then again. Dani falls forward, flat on the mat, Konosuke grabs his waist and picks him up for a deadline powerbomb. Konosuke looks for an early pinfall but Dani kicks out at 1. Konosuke sits up with a smirk on his face, looking impressed with Dani’s resilience. Konosuke takes a few steps back and lines up Dani for a running knee. Upon approach, Dani stands and catches the knee, quickly turning it into a dragon screw, not letting go of the leg Dani hits a Leg DDT. Wasting no time, Dani gets behind Takeshita and hits him with a deadline german suplex, and before Konosuke can get up, Dani is back on him with a hammer lock back suplex, making sure to give it a little extra rotation, dumping Konosuke on top of his head. Feeling the momentum shift, Dani fires up, screaming out into the crowd. He picks up Takeshita and hits him with the Red Cross. He looks for the pin but Konosuke has just enough energy go roll himself out of the ring.
Frustrated, Dani takes a minute to catch his breath before rolling out of the ring himself. He see Takeshita crawl on the floor and he runs up behind him, hitting a PK Kick to his arm, dropping him flat on the floor. Dani picks Konosuke up and sits him on a chair, against the barricade, meant for security. With a big run up, Dani Garcia sprints at Konosuke hitting a shotgun kick against the barricade. Dani throws Takeshita into the ring but only to the turnbuckle where Dani puts on a figure four leg lock, wrapping Konosukes legs around the post. Dani holds this for as long as the ref will allow but breaks it before a 5 count. Dani throws Takeshita’s legs against the post, both legs. The crowd chant, ‘one more time’
Don Callis on commentary: “These fans in Kentucky and disgusting to wish this on such a young man.”
Dani finally gets back in the ring. He pulls Takeshita into the centre of the ring and locks on a figure four leg lock. No 5 count this time as Konosuke bites his hand in pain, and Dani thrusts his legs to increase the pressure. Konosuke lays down, but this leads to a pinfall, so he sits back up. Looking at Garcia, he starts throwing punches, but Dani lays himself back but keeps his shoulders off the mat. Konosuke sits up and screams at Dani. This leads to Konsuke rolling onto his stomach, switching the pressure. Despite now having the advantage, Takeshita slams his fist down to the mat and crawls to the corner. The ref breaks up the hold. Konosuke now sitting on the top rope, Dani runs over and hits a forearm on Konosuke, he lifts him to the top rope, looking for a superplex, but Konosuke lifts up Dani and hits a twisting superplex of his own. He maintains the hold and looks for another but this time Dani is the one to lift up Konosuke and hits a Brainbuster. Both men are down in the middle of the ring. Loud ‘AEW AEW AEW’ chants all around the arena.
Konosuke and Garcia use each other’s bodies to help get back to their feet. Konosuke hits a forearm on Garcia, but Garcia takes it, yells and responses with a big forearm of his own. Konosuke hits another, Garcia hits his own. Konsuke hits a spinning forearm and this one send Dani back into the ropes, Konosuke Irish whips Garcia and looks for a lariat, Dani ducks it and keeps running, Konosuke looks for a big boot but Dani slides under it and picks up Takeshita for a high angle back suplex. However Takeshita springs right back up and hits a power drive knee strike on Garcia. Into a pinfall attempt…1…2…DANI KICKS OUT. Konosuke runs his hand through his hair, pulls down his kneepad, and lines up another power drive knee. Dani, slowly gets himself up and turns to a charging Konosuke, Dani falls backwards as Konosuke looks to connect with the knee, Dani grabs the leg and keeps Konosuke down, locking in the Dragon Tamer. Konosuke is in agony, stuck in the middle of the ring unable to crawl to the rope because Garcia is sitting back deep on this hold.
Don Callis leaps out of his seat tries to push the rope closer to Takeshita, but no luck. The ref lays into Callis trying to get him off the ropes. Referee ends up kicking the ropes, hurting Don’s hands. Don gets on the apron now to distract the ref but down runs Kenny Omega. He pulls Callis off the apron and starts wailing into him. The referee is distracted by this, so in the ring, Takeshita pulls Danis hair to break the hold. He gets up to check on Callis, but Kenny looks up at him, foot press on Don’s head. Takeshita is about to leave the ring when Garcia comes running in with a stiff forearm to the back of his head. Now dazed, Garcia hits an O’Connor’s roll and lays back for the cover of Takeshita. 1…2….3!
DANIEL GARCIA WINS! via Pinfall 15 minutes
Dani Garcia gets out of the ring and runs up the ramp, holding his neck. Kenny Omega is up the top of the ramp already, and those two fist bump. Konosuke looks down at Callis, then screams at Kenny before leaving the ring to check on Callis.

OUTCAST vs ALL ELITE WOMEN
The Outcast come out first, as a group, no tension in sight.
Baker, Statlander and Shida all come out separately but wait at the top the ramp for all members of their team arrive before walking down to the ring.
All 6 women are now in the ring, and they all stand eye to eye in the middle of the ring. Shida-Saraya, Statlander-Ruby, Britt-Toni. Shida strikes first and now everyone is brawling, the bell hasn’t even rung yet. Shida and Saraya take their fight out of the ring, Toni knocks Britt out of the ring, and Ruby tosses out by Statlander. Britt and Ruby go to break up Shida and Saraya, while Kris and Toni turn to face one another. The bell rings.
Toni begins mocking Statlanders muscles by flexing her own, Statlander laughs and runs at Toni. Toni ducks and runs the ropes, Kris stops and turns where she’s met with a shoulder charge from Toni, but she doesn’t move. Toni challenges Kris to do the same, she does and knocks Toni to the floor. Toni looks to square up with Kris, but Ruby leans over the ropes and tags herself in. Toni is shocked by this but Saraya demands she hurry up and get out. Ruby helps her out and turns into a big boot from Statlander. Kris picks up Ruby and throws her into her corner, then tags in Shida. Shida drags Ruby by the hair across the ring and throws her into her corner, demanding Saraya tag in. Saraya whispers something to Ruby and goes to tag in, only to pull her hand away and Ruby charges at Shida and hits a lariat. The outcasts laugh and Saraya tags in. Her and Ruby hit a snap suplex on Shida. Saraya drapes Shida over the ropes and starts hitting some knee strikes, then flips her back into the ring. She embraces the crowd and they cheer, not for her, but for the rising Shida behind her, looking pissed. Saraya turns to run to her corner, and Shida grabs her by her hair. Saraya gets a tag with Toni and Toni shotgun dropkicks Shida across the ring. Britt tags herself in and ducks a lariat from Toni and hits a ripcord forearm followed by an air raid crash. Toni gets straight back up, eats a few more forearms from Britt before she Irish whips her and goes for a lariat but Toni ducks the lariat from Baker, holding onto her waist and hitting a German Suplex. Soon after, Toni gets the upper hand and hits a hip attack on Baker pulling her into the middle of the ring for a Storm zero but Baker fights out, hitting another forearm on Toni, who response with a headbutt. Both women drop to the floor.
Britt and Toni are crawling to their respective corners, Britt makes the tag, but Ruby and Saraya are busy checking on Sarayas neck, unavailable to be tagged. Toni screams at them, but it’s too late to tag, and Statlander is in the ring now. She hits a side kick to the head, then a german suplex on Toni. Ruby enters the ring, and Kris looks for a forearm, but Ruby ducks, catching the wrist, and hits a knee strike ripcord. Britt gets in the ring now and superkicks Ruby, only for Saraya to enter the ring now and superkick Baker. Saraya turns around into Shida running at her and she uses a crouched down Soho to hit a step up knee strike on Saraya. Toni Storm gets back in the ring and hits a big boot on Shida, resulting in her rolling out of the ring. Toni turns around and sees Britt on the floor in the middle of the ring. She wraps her arms around her waist and looks up, Statlander is right infront of her and has her own arms wrapped around Ruby Sohos waist. Toni tells Kris, ‘Don’t you dare’ but Kris just screams and both women hit deadlift german suplexs on their opponents.
Kris and Toni get face to face in the middle of the ring, exchanging forearms until Toni hits a headbutt, Kris returns the favour, both women drop to a knee. Toni is first to act, as she looks for a big lariat but Statlander ducks it and hits a Blue Thunder bomb for the pinfall…1…2…SARAYA breaks it up but Statlander got out of the way in time so Saraya hit an elbow drop on Toni Storm. Shocked at this, she drags Toni over to her corner where Ruby tags in. Shida also tags in for Statlander. Shida immediately looks for a knee but Ruby evades, grabs the wrist looking for a disaster kick but Shida blocks it and hits a falcon arrow. Toni Storm crawls back into the ring, grabbing the referees attention. Hikaru sets up Ruby for a running knee, but Ruby catches her leg. She begins pushing Shida against the ropes and Saraya hits her with green mist for a spray can. Now blinded, Ruby takes her leg and turns it into a roll up. 1…2…3.
OUTCAST WIN via pinfall, 14 minutes
JERICHO AND SAMMY TALK AFTER ALL IN
Jerichos music plays and he comes out to the ring, microphone already in hand. Waiting for the crowd to finish signing his theme, he applauds them all.
Jericho: “Thankyou, so much Kentucky. Thankyou. I have had a lot of time to reflect, I wasn’t sure when to come out here after losing at ALL IN but now I am ready. I had a great match with Will Ospreay and I want to congratulate Will on his victory, he is an amazing talent. One of the best in the world… I do have one regret though and that’s how I treated Sammy after the match. So Sammy, could you please come out here so I can apologise to you.”
Sammys music plays and he walks to the ring, expressionless. Before Jericho can speak, the crowd chant Sammys name.
Jericho: “You deserve the praise Sammy, you do. Look at Wembley, I was frustrated and I am sorry. Im sorry I pushed you, I’m sorry I walked out. I wasn’t in my right mind, I wasn’t sure where I went wrong, I wasn’t sure if there was more you could’ve done and having watched the match back, you helped me plenty. Thank you and again, I am sorry.”
Sammy: “I told you Chris, I will always have your back. A small push won’t break us up.” Chris and Sammy shake hands and then hug.
Jericho: “I just keep playing the match back in my head, I just wish I had maybe zigged when I zagged or held onto him a little longer. Maybe if you hit him a little harder with the bat. I just–“
Sammy: “Sorry, what?” Jericho looks up at Sammy and repeats himself.
Jericho: “If you hit him harder with the bat that might’ve helped”
Sammy: “Funny Chris, because when I was watching. I thought, maybe if you hit him a little harder with the Judas effect, maybe that would’ve help.”
Jericho: “Okay, I don’t mean to strike a nerve. But sometimes when I envision something you don’t execute it how I would see it done.”
Sammy: “Envision it? How did you envision it? Because I left my pregnant life in Orlando to have your back.”
Jericho: “Not exactly. I envisioned you leaving your pregnant wife in Orlando, flying to London and being part of the biggest wrestling show in history. Something that the people in the back that didn’t make it to London would’ve killed for.”
Sammy: “I agree, I’m sure there’s a lot of them. It actually got me thinking, if I didn’t have to watch your back, maybe I could’ve been wrestling on the show.”
Jericho: “Well if you continue to follow my advice, you might get to do just that next year.”
Sammy: “I like the sound of that. I will make sure to follow your advice and learn how not to lose on the biggest show in wrestling history.”
Jericho: “And if you follow my advice, you might also learn how to not lose the next AEW World Championship match you get”
Sammy gets in Jerichos face. Jericho and Sammy are locked eye to eye. Jericho raises his mic to his mouth.
Jericho: “Alright, now let’s not say something we will regret. I wanted to tell you one more thing. I want to get the La Sex Gods back together and becoming the AEW Tag Team Champions with you again. I think if we put our brains together and we work together, no one could beat us. What do you say?”
Jericho offers his hand to Sammy. Sammy shakes it and they hug. Jericho gestures between the two of them and then does the belt gesture as the show goes to commercial.
BRODY KING vs WHEELER YUTA
Everything goes black and House of Blacks eery theme begins and Brody King appears onto of the ram. He begins walking down to the ring, mask on.
Once he hits the ring, Yuta’s theme begins and he comes down to the ring with a stern walk and eyes directly set on Brody.
The match starts and Yuta immediately gets in Brody’s face, talking shit. Brody laughs and tells him to walk back, Yuta refuses and Brody pushes him back. Pissed, Yuta and Brody finally lock up and Brody just lifts Yuta off the ground and Chokebombs him into the corner and hits a massive, echoing chop on Yuta, he falls to the floor in pain. Brody takes a step back before charging at Yuta in the corner. Yuta quickly rolls out of the way and Brody stops before hitting the corner, he tries to corner Wheeler but Yuta goes under Brody’s legs. Yuta turns and begins kicking Brody’s leg but it has no effect. Brody corners Yuta again so Yuta tries to go under his legs again but Brody is ready for it this time and deadlift power bombs Yuta onto the corner buckle. He then grabs Yuta and tosses him across the ring. Yuta rolls out of the ring.
Brody chases Yuta down, he steps out of the ring onto the apron and waits for Yuta to rise to his feet and hits an apron cannonball. Without giving him a chance to breathe, Brody picks up Yuta and sits him on a chair against the barricade and starts barking at the crowd before hitting a massive running crossbody, squashing Yuta against the barricade. Brody picks up Yuta and throws him back into the ring, Yuta is holding his mid section. Brody goes for a pin..1…YUTA Kicks out. Brody expected this, so he immediately picks up Yuta and puts him into a choke hold and Yuta quickly rushes to the rope but Brody pulls him back and as he starts pulling him back Yuta starts running backwards and pushes Brody into the corner and locks his legs around the ropes, Brody tries to pull him off but is unsuccessful, forcing a break.
Yuta takes a moment to breathe but Brody comes straight back at him, Yuta ducks a lariat and then hits a chop block, dropping Brody to a knee, then he hits the other knee with a chop block and finishes with a DDT. Quickly, while momentum is on his side, he grabs Brody’s legs and starts hitting Dragon Screws on his right leg, then another to his left, and another, and another. With Brody still down, Wheeler hits a senton and goes for a pin, but Brody kicks out before 1 with authority. Yuta immediately locks on an ankle lock and drops to the floor, wrapping his legs around Brody’s leg. Brody screams and assertively drags himself to the ropes and lays down on the apron. Frustrated, Yuta meets him on the apron, getting behind him, looking for a German Suplex on the apron. Brody refuses to give up ground and stomps on Yuta’s foot, turns and hits a massive forearm on Yuta. Brody steps into the ring and steps up onto the bottom rope and grabs Yuta, still standing on the apron, around the waist and lifts him up for a deadlift German Suplex from the apron to the middle of the ring
Brody begins targeting Yuta’s legs, hitting an elbow drop each leg, then a senton onto Yuta’s legs and he locks in a sharpshooter on Yuta. Now it’s Wheelers turn to find a way out and he struggles. Slowly dragging himself to the ropes, Brody looks like his legs are starting to give out and before Yuta can reach the ropes Brody’s legs give out, he breaks the hold and falls the to floor clutching his legs. Both men down, both holding their knees, they slowly make their way to the middle of the ring and start exchanging forearms. Brody immediately getting the better with the strength advantage, but Yuta isn’t stepping back. Yuta hits a few forearms consecutively, turns and runs the ropes, ducks a lariat and hits a big shoulder charge on Brody. He doesn’t fall but takes a few steps back and hits the ropes himself, coming back at Yuta but eats a dropkick from Yuta, still not falling. Brody does however turn around from the dropkick and this gives Yuta a chance to hit a massive German Suplex to a massive crowd reaction. Brody is struggling to get back to his feet but adamant not to collapse. Wheeler sees this and quickly jumps on Brody into Piledriver position and successfully lifts up Brody for the Piledriver, now looks for a pin. 1…2…BRODY KICKS OUT.
Yuta sits in the corner, contemplating his next move. Brody slowly stumbles to his feet and Yuta is looking to line up a Busaiku Knee but as he’s charging in Brody spins and hits a massive lariat on Yuta, spinning his body in midair with it. Brody picks up Yuta and hits a Reverse sit out Piledriver and instead of pinning him, picks him up again and hits a Gonza Bomb and goes for the pin…1…2….YUTA GETS HIS SHOULDER UP. The crowd goes crazy for this but Brody quickly locks in a sleeper on Yuta and locks his legs around him, middle of the ring, and Yuta passes out.
BRODY KING WINS via SUBMISSION 12 minutes
RENEE INTERVIEWS WILLOW NIGHTINGALE
Renee: “My guest at this time Willow Nightingale.”
Willow: “Hi Renee!”
Renee: “So this Wednesday on Dynamite you have the chance to become No.1 Contender for the TBS Championship, what does that mean for you?”
Willow: “I’m so excited Renee, it’s gonna be tough and if I win… when I win, it’ll be me and Statlander. My friend, and one of the toughest girls here. But just the chance to fight for the TBS Championship will be a dream, not just for me but–“
The Outcast interrupt the interview.
Saraya: ” Renee! What are you doing!? The next No.1 contender is right here, Ruby Soho. You should be interviewing her!”
Renee begins to speak but Ruby cuts her off.
Ruby: “That’s fine Renee, my message is for Willow. Hello,Willow. I’m glad you’re wearing your smile now, but I’m certain that after Wednesday, you will not be smiling. I already know I’ll be winning.” She stretches out her arms and shows off the two girls behind her.
Ruby: “And why is that? Because you don’t have what it takes. No killer instinct. No grit. Just sunshine and rainbows with you. But on Wednesday, things are going to get dark.”
The Outcast laugh and leave while Willow looks frustrated at them.
CM PUNK vs ADAM COLE
CM Punk enters first to a massive pogrom the crowd. Wearing his Real World Championship.
Adam Cole comes out next and the crowd is equally riled up. Massive echo in the arena for Cole’s trademark Adam Cole Bay Bay cheer.
The bell rings and the fans applaud immediately and ‘ Holy Shit ‘ chants begin within the crowd.
Nigel Mcguinness: “If Cole was a little bit older, we would’ve seen this match in Ring of Honor 20 years ago. This is a match that Ring of Honor fans, professionally wrestling fans, have only dreamt of seeing.”
Punk and Cole lock up in the middle of the ring and Punk takes the advantage with a hammer lock on Cole arm, Cole turns to the side and hits a back suplex of Punk. Punk gets up quickly and stares Cole down, Adam signals to the crowd and they oblige, ‘ADAM COLE BAY BAY’.
Cole and Punk lock up again and this time Cole gets the hammer lock on Punks arm and Punk quickly reverses it into a Russian leg sweep and locks in an Anaconda Vice but Cole is too close to the ropes. Punk let’s go and is left sitting in the middle of the ring, crossed legs and the crowd behind him chanting. ‘CM PUNK! CM PUNK’.
Cole gets back in the ring and into Punks face, forehead to forehead. Punk moves Cole back and tells him to watch this. Punk gets ready to do the Adam Cole chant, he throws his hands in the air and the crowd scream out, ‘CM PUNK BAY BAY’ and immediately as they finish screaming, Adam hits a superkick straight onto Punks jaw, Punk falls and rolls out of the ring. Cole follows him out and Punk immediately hits an elbow on Cole and then throws him into the barricade, then into the ring post, then back into the barricade but this time he flies over the barricade, into the time keeper area. Punk takes a short breather, grabbing a water offered to him from a fan in the crowd.
Punk walks over to the time keepers area where Cole should be and as he looks over the barricade he’s hit with a super kick, now holding him jaw and he kneels over. Cole climbs the barricade and points gun fingers at Punk, looking for a Panama Sunrise. He leaps off the barricade and flips over Punk, but Punk grabs onto his legs, stopping the rotation, and Punk drops him with an air raid crash, straight into another Anaconda Vice. The referee rushes out of the ring and breaks the hold, but Punk refuses until the 4 count. Punk gets into the ring and wants the ref to count Cole out. By the time the ref reaches 5, Cole begins to move. Punk gestures to the back and then Powerhouse Hobbs comes out, he gets down to the middle of the ramp when Rodrick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly attack him, the two of them are initially over powered but work together to take out the big man. Eventually they brawl into the crowd and into the back.
Punk is pissed about this, and mad at the ref for stopping the count. Adam is now standing and climbing onto the apron now. Punk walks over to Cole, grabs his leg before he can get into the ring and hits a dragon screw between the ropes. Followed by another and then he drags Cole into the centre of the ring. He gestures to the crowd that now it’s time to go to sleep. He lifts up Adam onto his shoulders and goes to throw him down but Cole lands on his feet, catching the leg. Punk swings at Cole but he ducks it. However, Punk uses the momentum from his swing to hit the ropes and Cole is ready for him, looking for a superkick but Punk goes to block it, no worries, Adam Cole hits a superkick to Punks knees. Punk falls to the ground, Cole sees his chance and looks for a BOOM on Punk, but Punk ducks the knee, and before Adam can turn around, Punk clotheslines him out of the ring. Cole now out of the ring, Punk takes this chance to hit a suicide dive on Cole, pushing him into the announce table. The crowd begins to boo CM Punk.
Punk brushes off the crowd reactions and drags Adam Cole up onto the announce table, he knees Cole in the jaw once and then lifts him up onto his shoulder. Looking around the arena, seeing everyone boo him, he tries again for a CM PUNK BAY BAY CHANT but doesn’t get the volume he did earlier on. Brushing off the fans boos, he hits a Tombstone on the announce table to Cole and laughs at the crowd. Punk pulls Adam down from the table and into the ring for a pinfall…1…2…COLE KICKS OUT. Punk gets back up and starts kicking Cole’s knee. He goes to the top rope and hits a diving elbow onto Cole’s knees and locks in a figure four leg lock. Cole is screaming in agony, Punk just laughing in his face, Cole spits at Punk and it angers Punk. This slight distraction allows Cole to crawl over to the ropes and he holds on tight while Punk breaks the hold.
Punk pulls Cole back up and into the middle of the ring with a sleeper hold, kicking Cole’s knee out, dropping him to a knee. Eveytime Cole gets to his feet, Punk takes a break to kick out Cole’s knee again. Despite this, the crowd continues to chant for Adam Cole and get him back onto this match. Cole gets to his feet again and Punk breaks the hold, looking to kick out Adam’s knee, but this time Adam lifts his leg and captures Punks leg, he rolls forward and to the side with Punks leg trapped, dropping him to the floor and then captures his ankle, and locking on the ankle lock on Punk.
Adam holds on as long as he can, but eventually, Punk rolls onto his back and kicks Cole’s knee out and then pushes him back into the corner. Punk gets to his feet and hits a running knee into the corner, he grabs Cole’s head, looking for a bulldog but Adam holds onto the ropes and slips out of Punks hold. He grabs his shoulders and hits a backstabber. As Punk slowly rises, Cole climbs to the middle rope, and when Punk is almost to his feet, Adam successfully hits a Panama Sunrise. Adam is slow to his feet and that move took a toll on his knee. Punk and Cole get to their feet about the same time, Cole hits a pump kick on Punk and grabs his wrist from behind, looking for a straight jacket german suplex, quickly Punk rushes forward into the referee but stops before they hit the ref, but since the ref isn’t looking Punk lifts his leg up and hits a low blow on Adam. Plenty more boos from the fans and Punk loves it. Immediately, Punk goes into a 3 amigos, this making the boos even louder. 1 suplex… 2 suplexes… the third, however, is blocked by Cole, and he lifts up Punk for a kneecap brainbuster, hurting his knee in the process.
The ref checks Cole’s knee, and he’s fine. Punk calls over the ref to check his jaw. Adam Cole finally reaches his feet and lines up a superkick for Punk. As soon as Punk reaches his feet, Adam hits the superkick, but Punk pulls the ref in the way, and the referee is hit, and Adam is in shock. Cole turns and is met with a Punk side head kick, then he gets Cole up, onto his shoulders, but Cole wriggles his way and hits another superkick and immediately follows it with a BOOM and a pinfall attempt…1…2….3…..4……5 but the referee is still down so Cole just sits up, frustrated. Before he can reach his feet, FTR is in the ring and hit Adam with a shatter machine, they drag Punk ontop of Cole and go to get the referee then MJFs theme plays and the crowd erupts.
MJF rolls out on his wheelchair and makes his way down the ramp as quickly as he can. Now, at the bottom of the ramp, FTR just laugh at him, Dax offers Cash the chance to meet him out there and Cash leaves the ring. As soon as he gets outside, MJF stands up, rips off the neck brace, and a lead pipe slides down and out of his sleeve. Cash is frozen in place and MJF hits him in the stomach and then over the back. Dax rushes out of the ring and tackles Max before he has a chance to react and they start brawling outside the ring. Punk looks on from in the ring and sees the referee climbing to his feet, so Punk turns and lifts Cole’s limp body off the floor, looks for a GTS. As soon as Adam is on his feet, he pushes away from Punk and kicks him straight in between the legs, dropping Punk to his knees. Cole drops his kneepad and hits another BOOM. Adam yells out to the referee to get the pinfall. 1….2….3.
ADAM COLE WINS via Pinfall 18 minutes
