TNA Impact April 24th Results

This week’s TNA Impact was held at St. Joseph Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Missouri.

The System (TNA X-Division Champion Moose and JDC) def. Ace Austin and Trey Miguel

Alisha Edwards was at ringside and able to sway control to The System early on. Miguel was able to get out of peril and make the tag to Austin. Things sped up as Austin connected on Moose with a springboard kick for a near fall. Moose hit a powerbomb on Miguel onto Austin. JDC was about to win with Down and Dirty until Austin saved the match. Alisha distracted the referee, allowing JDC to hit a low blow on Miguel. That and Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers arriving to take care of Austin allowed JDC to pin Miguel for the win.

NXT’s Jacy Jayne def. Rosemary

Arianna Grace joined commentary as the NXT-TNA liaison. This followed on from Rosemary hitting Jayne with the green mist last week. Rosemary hit Upside Down early on. A distraction by Fallon Henley allowed Jazmyn Nyx to hit Rosemary from behind. Rosemary hit a Reverse DDT but only got a near fall. Rosemary speared Nyx down to the floor from the apron. Jayne then connected with the discus punch for the win.

Tessa Blanchard def. Missa Kate

Blanchard beat her down in the corner to start things off. Blanchard hit her with the cutter and then Magnum. She finally hit Buzzsaw to get the win and send a message to TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry and Elijah def. Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page

Hendry is still reeling from the after effects of his recent injury. Kazarian and Page worked well together to isolate Elijah. Elijah nearly made a tag but Page yanked Hendry off the apron and sent him crashing into the steel steps. Elijah finally found an opening and made the tag to Hendry. Despite the pain, Hendry laid out Page with a Fallaway Slam. He then scored a near fall off hitting Kazarian with an AA. Kazarian went to lock in the Chicken Wing but Page tagged himself into the match. Hendry went to hit the Standing Ovation on Kazarian but couldn’t do it. Page abandoned Kazarian, which allowed Elijah to beat him with the Highwayman’s Farewell.
