RIcky Saints vs Ethan Page, North American Championship

After debuting on February 11th edition of NXT, it only took Ricky Saints 7 weeks to win his first championship, defeating Shawn Spears for the North American title. His celebration was cut short by Ethan Page who attacked him. Page calls Ricky an ‘outsider’, even though he debuted in NXT in a similar fashion. The story appears to be that Page is jealous that someone else is coming in to NXT and making a similar impact that he did. On the go-home episode of NXT, Ethan Page defeated Eddy Thorpe, Wes Lee and Heritage Cup champion Lexis King to be the number 1 contender for Saints’ championship.
Ricky Saints takes the early advantage with a flashy variation of of Old School. Ethan Page swings momentum back his way with a gnarly powerslam on the apron. ‘All Ego’ stays in control for sometime, targeting Saints’ back with a variety of strikes and suplexes. Saints starts fighting back into the match, but a risky springboard crossbody backfires, Page dodges and sends Ricky right onto the announce table. Page locks in a Boston Crab but the champion reaches the ropes.
Ethan Page continues the back offence, dropping Saints with a back suplex on the top rope, he topples to the outside. Saints finally gets some space after nailing Page with a tornado DDT. Saints fights back and tries to set up Rochambeau but Page counters with a powerslam. Ricky Saints gets a near fall off a Last Ride Powerbomb. Page counters the Spear with a Confidence Breaker, followed with the Ego’s Edge but only gets a 2 count. Saints counters the Twisted Grin and hits a spear (kinda, looked more like a shoulder block) followed with Rochambeau to retain his championship.
Analysis
B- Grade – I thought it was a solid match, I was quite shocked that the match just ended like it did. I feel like both men can take this to another level, but they kept it pretty simple and straight forward. They told a basic story of Page working over the midsection, Saints fought back and retained the title. I doubt that this is the end of this rivalry, at least I hope it’s not.
Fraxiom vs Hank & Tank, Tag Team Championships

Fraxiom have held the NXT Tag titles since September 1st 2024, defeating Andre Chase & Ridge Holland at No Mercy to begin their 2nd reign on top of the division. Although they have had a lot of success, there has been a consistent lack of unity between these two. Meanwhile, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger have been struggling with their own identity and went on a losing streak. On the go-home episode of NXT, Hank & Tank won a tag gauntlet match to earn themselves a shot at the Tag Titles here. I do not see the appeal in Hank & Tank. They’re goofy, their in-ring work is not good and they do not look championship material. They look like the Public Enemy and they wrestle like them too.
Fraxiom take the early advantage, Nathan Fraser hitting Hank with a dropkick whilst trapped in an octopus stretch. Tank tags in and immediately overpowers Fraser. Fraser and Axiom utilise their superior speed to drop both of the challengers with a flurry of strikes. Axiom kicks the crap out of Hank, showing a lot more aggression than usual. Hank fires up after taking some punches, dropping Axiom with a big clothesline but he cannot get a tag thanks to Fraser wiping Tank out. From here the story is that Fraxiom hit the challengers with their entire arsenal but Hank & Tank keep managing to kick out.
Hank hits a top rope clothesline then an assisted splash for a close near fall. Hank goes for a suicide dive but Fraser moves, he crashes and burns on the announce table. Fraxiom hit a Hi-Lo for another near fall. Fraxiom are at a loss at Hank & Tank’s resilience. The Spanish Fly x Phoenix Splash combo has the match won but Hank gets back in to break the pin. Fraser goes for a Phoenix Splash again but it is dodged. Tank dives out to take out Axiom. Hank hits a Bossman Slam. Hank & Tank hit their assisted powerslam finisher and they pin Fraser to win the titles.
Analysis
B Grade – As much as I dislike Hank & Tank, I cannot deny that this was a good match. Does it help that they were paired with NXT’s greatest? Absolutely. They told a good story, Hank & Tank showed resilience and determination, being able to stay united and focused to overthrow the champions. The story was good and the match was even better. Do I agree with Hank and Tank being on top of NXT’s tag division? Not at all, but I am willing to see how their reign goes. Maybe they will win me over.
NXT Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King is backstage and criticises Penn (From Penn & Teller) for doing magic. He doesn’t believe in it. Penn convinces him to put it in a cage. He uses “magic” and the trophy has been replaced by a yeeting Teller. There was an audible bang which was clearly whatever contraption they used. At least try and make the magic believable guys.
Women’s North American LAdder Match

At Roadblock Stephanie Vaquer defeated Giulia, retaining her North American title whilst simultaneously winning the Women’s Championship. 2 weeks later, Vaquer became the first person in WWE history to successfully defend 2 separate titles, in 2 separate matches in 1 night. After that, La Primera vacated the North American Championship. General Manager Ava revealed this ladder match and we got qualifiers over the following weeks. Zaria defeated Lash Legend, Kelani Jordan defeated Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca defeated Jazmyn Nyx, Izzi Dame defeated Wren Sinclair, Thea Hail defeated Karmen Petrovic and Lola Vice defeated Tatum Paxley.
This is a ladder match, so of course this is going to be chaos with a bunch of spots. I will cover some of the highlights. Izzi Dame rams Zaria into the steps with the ladder. Izzi pulls Kelani from the ladder, the latter doing the splits trying to hold on. Zaria does an airplane spin with the ladder. Northern Lights suplex by Izzi on Zaria onto the ladder. Izzi drops Lola with an awesome diving codebreaker. Izzi drops Sol Ruca with a sit-out powerbomb from the ladder. Thea hits an exploder suplex on Kelani into a ladder in the corner. Izzi does something smart I have never seen, just moving the ladder whilst Thea is on top of the ladder. Shawn Spears and the rest of his group come to support Izzi. Zaria tips the huge ladder, sending Thea flying 20 ft from the ring into all of them!
Kelani Jordan frog splashes Lola Vice on a ladder bridge. Zaria nearly fucks Kelani up with a throw to the outside by Spears and co were able to catch her in time. After helping each other throughout the match, Zaria and Sol Ruca finally come to blows on top of a ladder. Sol manages to do a skin the cat spot from the top of a ladder which was crazy. She hits Izzi with a Sol Snatcher from the ladder, immediately followed by a Double Sol Snatcher to Thea and Lola. Sol climbs up and retrieves the title.
Analysis
B+ Grade – A very fun ladder match. There was a lot of psychology around setting up ladder spots which I appreciated. All the women kept making attempts up the ladder too, rather than just focusing on spots which certain ladder matches are guilty of. I did not expect it but Izzi Dame was the stand-out for the majority of this match, hitting some great moves. Thea Hail would have had the spot of the night for her insane dive, if not for the reliably awesome Sol Snatcher. Sol Ruca winning is a good choice, she deserves it and I can see her alliance with Zaria disintegrating over the following months.
We saw a brief recap of the Stand & Deliver Countdown, which featured a 4-way women’s tag match. Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley defeated 3 other teams to earn a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championships on Tuesday.
The D’Angelo Family vs DarkState

My thoughts on DarkState’s NXT run have been loud. It has mostly been a huge disappointment and poorly booked. However, there is still plenty of time to redeem them. They are young and have a long future ahead. DarkState attacked Tony D’Angelo backstage during their phase of attack anyone now and then. “Stacks” orchestrated a parking lot fight without The Don’s knowledge. Tony saved his Family from decimation and set up a legitimate 6-man match here at Stand & Deliver.
Both teams get into a brawl before the bell rings. The Family drop Cutler with a Shatter Machine and the match gets underway. Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin are the legal men. Lennox is unhinged, shoving his teammates out the way to get his hands on Luca Crusifino. DarkState work as a team together well but “Stacks” manages to get a tag, but The Don is not happy that “Stacks” is trying to handle things all by himself. Stacks does well until Griffin launches “Stacks” into the timekeepers area. DarkState are dominating, “Stacks” is in survival mode. He hits a running knee and makes a tag to D’Angelo. He takes out DarkState one by one, defending The Family on his own.
Both teams stand in the ring across from each other and get into a fight. Cutler gets involved and takes out Luca, but Adrianna Rizzo leaps off the top rope and takes him out for her Family. “Stacks” grabs a crowbar but The Don is not happy to do it. “Stacks” refuses to let go of the crowbar, allowing Shugars to take them out. The Don saves “Stacks” from the powerbomb with a big spear. “Stacks” then saves The Don from Shugars with a crowbar to the head. The Don is unsure if he was aiming for him, but both men hug and it seems that they are back in order. However, “Stacks” low blows D’Angelo from behind. “Stacks” abandons the family, DarkState hit their awesome powerbomb finisher to win.
Analysis
C Grade – Well we’re back with more terrible DarkState booking. Another win for the faction that was not about their dominance as a team, rather their opponents not being on the same page. The match was standard, I assume because DarkState are still pretty green in the ring. All of DarkState had some decent moments in-ring, I am still most impressed by Shugars but Griffin and Lennox looked solid too.
They have teased issues with The Don and “Stacks” for some time but I think this was handled poorly. They should have done the turn post-match. DarkState looked pretty weak coming out of this because they had lost the match until “Stacks” betrayal. I am confused why The Don and “Stacks” were willing to save each other but then the Underboss decided to turn anyways. I guess we will wait until NXT on Tuesday to hear why.
DarkState’s finisher is still bad ass at least.
Women’s Championship Fatal Four-Way

Dead straight forward set up here. Jaida Parker and Jordynne Grace have developed a feud over being the next contender for Stephanie Vaquer’s title. Their match went to a no contest after colliding with Vaquer and the champ laid them out with help from returning Giulia. Giulia, the former champion. laid out her “best friend” and demanded a rematch. Vaquer was given the choice of her Stand & Deliver opponent after relinquishing the North American title, she chose all of them.
It is a mad dash for control early on, all 4 women exchanging reversals and counters. Giulia and Vaquer work together to take out Jaida and Jordynne, before going at it themselves. We get a mini match between Vaquer and Grace next full of counters and exchanges. Giulia and Jaida have a mini match now, followed by a Jaida vs Vaquer mini match. We get a great tower of doom spot, Grace lifting Giulia and Vaquer onto her shoulders then Jaida hitting a double blockbuster onto them both. Grace counters Vaquer signature mat slams into a Death Valley Driver. Grace German Suplexes Jaida whilst she has Giulia in a Northern Lights Suplex. Giulia takes out Grace and Jaida so that she can go strike for strike with her “ally” Vaquer.
Giulia beats down Vaquer with a headbutt barrage. Jaida Parker sets up all 3 of her opponents in the corner lengthways on the second rope her her Hip Drop attack. Jaida locks Grace in a toe hold, whilst Giulia locks her in an octopus stretch, whilst Vaquer locks Grace in a bridging cross face. Vaquer has meteora’s for Jaida and Grace whilst Giulia receives a dragon screw. Vaquer finally shits her Devil’s Kiss on all her competitors, whilst Booker T gets a chant for some reason. Being the worst commentator alive I guess? Grace hits the Juggernaut Driver, Jaida hits Hipnotic, Vaquer only just hits the Spinal Tap on Jaida Parker. Vaquer hits SVB on Parker and retains.
Analysis
B+ Grade – Another great showing for NXT’s women’s division. I think too much of this match was 1v1 and not fully utilising the four-way stipulation. However, all 4 women were given time to get their stuff in and it looked great. Giulia has been doing good work on her psychology, she sold really well in this match. I would have liked more shine given to Jaida and Grace, there was never a moment where I thought that they were going to win. Actually, there was rarely many moments where it looked like anyone had the match won. They all took turns hitting their finisher and Vaquer happened to be the last one to do it.
I enjoyed this, but I spent most of the match looking forward to all of these competing against each other in singles matches in the future.
Lexis King is hunting for his Heritage Cup backstage. Also, “Stacks” leaves the arena but he tells Luca to keep his phone on him and he will explain everything next week.
OBA Femi vs Trick WIlliams vs Je’Von Evans

Honestly, the build for this match has been an absolute mess. Je’Von has been shoehorned into the Trick Williams – Oba Femi feud jarringly, attacking ‘The Ruler’ in a very out of character segment. The presence of Darkstate has loomed over this story like a dark cloud. It has become increasingly unclear what Trick Williams’ character, he has been acting heelish but being presented as a face for the past 3 months. This should have been an easy layup. I am not against Je’Von being a part of this match, but it could have been booked better and without Darkstate.
Je’Von goes for a double springboard cutter early but it is countered. Evans dropkicks Femi out of the ring and goes 1v1 with Trick. Williams reverses a kick with a back flip impressively. Both men kick each other and then kip-up. Oba lifts both men up for a double Samoan drop. Femi uses Je’Von as a weapon against Trick. A massive gutbuster by the NXT champ on Trick gets a 2. Evans tells Oba to “watch his dumbass” after being dropped by the Bouncy Boy again. Oba has Trick in a powerbomb, Evans goes for a top rope clothesline but Trick dodges whilst taking Oba down with a hurricanrana. Trick and Evans trash talk each other and try to one up each other, colliding in mid air. Trick wipes out both men with a diving crossbody to the outside.
Je’Von counters an Irish Whip into a moonsault from the bottom rope. There is so much action it is hard to keep up! Some great 3-way sequences ending with a huge double chokeslam by the Ruler. Evans counters a chokeslam into a cutter for a great near fall. Oba meets Evans in mid air with a brutal uppercut. Evans hits the Springboard Cutter on Femi for another great near fall. Trick Williams takes out the referee. Femi destroys the barricade with Evans’ body and Trick Rock Bottoms Femi through the announce table! Trick Shot by Williams but there is no referee there, Femi tries to stop the referee and eventually breaks the pin. Evans drops both men with the springboard cutter but Trick drops him with a Trick Shot. Femi is back up and drops both men with Fall From Grace and pins Evans to win.
Analysis
A Grade – An absolute show stealer. Now this is how you book a multi-man match. In contrast to the women’s match which relied on 1v1 spots, this was an absolute war between these 3 with plenty of sequences featuring all 3 men. Je’Von Evans was on top form here with a plethora of insane spots, he could have his own Stand & Deliver highlight reel. Although I was confident he was going to be the one to take the pin, there was a moment when I really thought that he was going to win. Suspension of belief is the best thing a wrestling match can do.
Plenty of action and the carnage just ramped up as the match went on. Trick Williams was willing to do anything to win. Je’Von Evans gave everything to win, but Oba Femi is far too dominant to be beaten here tonight.
Final Thoughts
B+ Overall Grade – This was a show with a little variety for everyone. Although the 6-man tag match was weak, the rest of the card was enjoyable. The highlights of course were the women on the show and the main event. NXT’s women’s division has been the shining star of the black and silver brand for the past year and it continues to upstage most of the roster. However, that main event was a blockbuster.
