Velocity Episode 1:
[Velocity intro]
[Cuts to the camera on the ramp looking up at the stage as pyro goes off, crowd loudly cheering, excitement in the air]
[Pyro ends, cut to the commentary desk]
Corey Graves:
(Joyful expression)
“Welcome everyone to the first ever Monumental Wrestling show! My name is Corey Graves; this is Renee Paquette.”
[Corey gestures over to Renee]
“And we are very excited to be here for the first ever Velocity show, we are sure to see incredible matches tonight as we have 5 tournament matches on offer.”
Renee Paquette:
“Indeed we do, we have the likes of L.A.X vs Street Profits in the men’s tag title tournament, Meltear against Faby & Mari Apache and The Bella Twins in a triple threat tag match to try and qualify for the women’s tag titles at Ground Zero. And 3 matches in the men’s world title tournament with Omega vs KO in the main event.”
Corey:
“Sounds like we’re in for a great night of competition, I can’t wait, let’s get this show on the road!”
[The tron lights up with a video. It’s a dim room, close up on a table and chair. Konnan pulls out the chair and sits down.]
Konnan:
“Listen.”
[Slight pause]
“I’m only going to say this once, everyone… watch out. L.A.X are here to takeover so you better buddy up for your own safety. We are the dominant force here in Monumental Wrestling. I shall list you the names of who is in the new and reformed L.A.X, people you will become very acquainted with:
Homicide and Henandez, they will be called directly L.A.X.
Santana and Ortiz who shall be known as Proud and Powerful.
Low-Ki.
Dominik Mysterio.
Liv Morgan.
And Raquel Rodriquez.
All these new and former members will make themselves known all over this company. We are the dominant force and there’s nothing you can do to stop us.”
[Video ends]
[Raven makes his entrance accompanied by Rhyno]
[La Sombra makes his way to the ring]
Monumental Wresting men’s world championship tournament match, round of 16.
Raven vs La Sombra
[The bell rings]
Corey:
“Here we go everyone! Round of 16 matchup under way and I am PUMPED!”
Renee:
“This is very exciting Graves but what I want to know is what is Rhyno doing out here? What are his plans or more worryingly, what are Raven’s plans?”
Corey:
“I’m not quite sure but we’ll just have to wait and see. La Sombra definitely has an uphill battle today.”
La Sombra comes out of the gates HOT! He’s throwing punches and forearms. Raven is absolutely ROCKED! Eventually, Raven starts to pull himself together and starts firing back.
Corey:
“We’ve got an absolute brawl! Haymakers and forearms everywhere!”
******
In the middle of the ring, Raven goes for an Irish whip sending La Sombra into the ropes. Raven goes for a hip toss. COUNTERED! La Sombra turns it into a DDT!
1! 2! … NO!
Raven kicks out! La Sombra picks him up. CHOP! CHOP! He goes for a third, Raven quickly uses his momentum to put his head in the position to hit him with a PILDRIVER!
1! 2! … Again, a kickout!
La Sombra rolls slowly out of the ring to gain some composure and catch his breath. Raven grabs the ref, he’s distracting him! GORE! Rhyno gores La Sombra! He throws him back in the ring. Raven picks him up, EVENFLOW DDT! La Sombra’s head spiked into the mat.
1! 2! … 3!
It’s over, Raven is declared your winner!
[Match time: 14 minutes 32 seconds]
Renee:
“Unbelievable! An amazing back and forth match up and Raven resorts to this.”
Corey:
“That’s what you have to expect Renne, these competitors want to be the world champion and they’ll do whatever it takes. I guarantee you that he won’t be the only person pulling these sorts of stunts this month.”
[Cut to Christy Hemme backstage with a microphone ready to interview Kenny Omega]
Christy Hemme:
“I am here with Kenny Omega before he faces Kevin Owens in tonight’s main event. Kenny, how are you preparing for this match”
Kenny Omega:
“It takes a lot of preparation, I’ve known KO for many years and he’s very close with some of my best friends, so we know a lot about each other. However, it’s been around 15 years since we’ve met in the ring, we’ve both grown a lot as performers. Both have become world champions in our own right. He’ll be a tough opponent but I back myself.”
Christy:
“We have just seen Raven knock off La Sombra with the use of the man beast Rhyno, what are your thoughts on that?”
Kenny Omega:
“He’s clearly a man that will do whatever it takes to get to the top. I understand that but that’s not how I do things. I win by being the best bout machine, but I can’t be worried about them, I’ve got KO to worry about first.”
Christy:
“Thank you for your time.”
[Cut back to the arena, L.A.X make their entrance, flanked by Low-Ki]
Corey:
“L.A.X are walking with some serious authority, they mean business.”
[Street Profits make their entrance]
Before the Street Profits get to the ring, L.A.X and Low-Ki jump out and rush them.
Renee:
“Oh my! They’re mauling them like lions!”
Street profits try and put up a fight but are ultimately beaten down by the numbers game. Low-Ki heads towards the apron, lifts it up and grabs two chairs. He tosses one to Homicide and the other to Hernandez and they absolutely leather them into the backs of Montez and Angelo. The smack of the chair upon flesh is evidence of just how hard of a swing L.A.X are putting into them.
Corey:
“I’m unsure if this match will even take place. This is a mauling someone stop them!”
[L.A.X return to the ring, awaiting the match to start]
Street Profits are hardly moving; they’re struggling to get up. After some time, Montez manages to pull himself into the ring to start the match. Angelo is trying to grasp the stairs to get to the apron but he’s not there before the bell rings.

L.A.X vs Street Profits
[The bell rings]
Hernandez starts for L.A.X. He’s stalking Montez like prey, watching him trying to stand. Eventually he gets up and WHAM! Henandez hits him like tank going at mach speed, nearly decapitating the helpless man with a clothesline. He picks him up again BORDER TOSS! TAG! Homicide is going up to the top, FROG SPLASH!
1! 2! … 3!
A dominant victory for L.A.X
[Match time: 1 minute 21 seconds]
Corey:
“Wow… just wow. The Street profits just didn’t stand a chance. Is this what Konnan warned everyone about? If it’s anything like this, I’m concerned for the landscape of Monumental Wrestling.”
[Cuts to Christy Hemme backstage]
Christy:
“I’m here with Kevin Owens ahead of his big main event against Kenny Omega. Kevin, how are you getting ready for a man like Omega?”
Kevin Owens:
“It’s difficult to prepare for someone like Kenny. I don’t like Kenny. He knows too much, you can never be truly prepared for a man with his skills. He tried to be the face of another company because the real ace left for better bucks. The position he assumed was only bestowed upon to him because he made friends with the right people with the deep pockets. I have had to climb the ranks one by one, dealing with everyone trying to hold me down, including people who I thought were my friends. Kenny, enjoy your round 1 exit buddy.”
[Kevin leaves the interview]
[Cuts to Bubba, D-Von & Spike in the locker room]
D-Von Dudley:
“Hey Bubs, we need to do something out this L.A.X situation.”
Bubba Ray Dudley:
“You mean like go and attack them? It’s 3 vs how many, are you crazy?”
D-Von:
“No of course not, you remember back in ECW? There were so many of us.”
Spike Dudley:
“ARE WE BRINGING BACK SIGN GUY?”
D-Von:
“No, I just thought maybe we need to add a few new members to the family. They can have our backs, and we can have theirs. Plus, it’s extra people to get the tables.”
Bubba:
“That’s a good plan; we’ll look into that.”
[Cuts back to the area, Kota Ibushi makes his entrance]
[R-Truth makes his entrance]
Just before the bell rings, R-Truth grabs a microphone.
R-Truth:
“Hold on Mr Kota, just before we have our match, I wanted to give you gift of appreciation.”
Truth takes about a small fishnet bag with small chocolate coins inside.
R-Truth:
“Here you go! I know you are a lover of gold, I couldn’t afford any real gold, so this was the next best thing,”
Kota accepts the offering smiling from ear to ear, even letting out a small giggle. He takes a coin out from the bag and tries one. Once done he shakes the hand of R-Truth and bows out of respect, Truth bows back a little late as he was unsure of what to do.

[The bell rings]

Kota goes for a big forearm, absolutely rocking R-Truth.
Renee:
“Truth hardly knows what hit him!”
Ibushi invites Truth to strike him back.
Corey:
“Truth looks confused, he’s not used to this test of will by Kota.”
Overhand chop by Truth!
FOREARM!
CHOP!
FOREARM!

CHOP!
Corey:
“THESE TWO WILL STOP AT NOTHING, THE CHANCE TO BE THE FIRST WORLD CHAMPION MEANS EVERYTHING TO THEM!”
TRUTH FALLS! Kota grabs his wrists, brings him to his knees and goes for Kimigoye. BUT NO! TRUTH FALLS AGAIN! Kota goes to pick him up. SMALL PACKAGE!
1! 2! … NO! CLOSE KICKOUT, Truth caught him by surprise.
Both men are up, Truth makes a move, Kota turns him around, GERMAN SUPLEX! KOTA GOES UP TOP……… 450 SPLASH! COVER!
1! 2! … 3!
Kota Ibushi wins!
[Match time: 13 minutes 9 seconds]
Truth finally makes it to his feet, Kota offers out a hand as a sign of respect, they embrace.
Renee:
“Kota sent Truth to a place he hasn’t been to for a long time, what a lovely sign of respect by both men.”
Truth raises the hand of Ibushi and slowly rolls out of the ring, the toll from the impact of the match is evident with how he’s moving.
[Cuts to a graphic showing Ethan Page vs LA Knight for the upcoming Heat show]
[Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez make their entrance]
[Loud boos can be heard]
Liv Morgan:
“L.A.X is heeeeerrrrrreee! Hahahaha. You are looking at the future double champion. Not only are you looking at the future world champion, you are also looking at the soon to be tag team champions. With daddy Dom by our side, not one can stop Raquel and I.
Dominik Mysterio:
“Well, well, well.”
[Boos intensify]
Dominik:
“I am upset.”
[“We don’t care” chants from the crowd]
Dominik:
“Dario has excluded me from the world title tournament because he knows that I’ll win the whole thing. He can’t have L.A.X with all the gold because he knows no one else will ever get to hold it. If I’m not in the mystery championship match, there will be hell to pay and you don’t want to see that.”
[Mascara Dorada makes his entrance]
Mascara Dorada:
“Quit your whining, maybe if you were passionate about your craft and pushed yourself to be the best wrestler possible then you’d be in the tournament.”
Dominik:
“You sound just like my dad, an absolute DEADBEAT!”
Mascara:
“Out of respect for your father, when I win the title, you can be the first person to fight for it. However, you won’t be able to beat me until you are truly giving 110%. I see so much potential in you, don’t waste it.”
Liv:
“Blah blah blah blah blah. You won’t even be able to get past Bandido, what makes you think you’ll win the title?”
Mascara:
“I believe in my abilities.”
Liv:
[A smug look covers her face]
“Good luck… you’ll need it hahahahah.”
[Mic drop, Liv & Raquel leave the ring]
[Dominik squares up to Mascara before quickly exiting too]
[Graphics show on the screen of the first three matches of next week’s Velocity:
Match 1 – Dudley Boyz vs The Colons
Match 2 – Bobby Roode vs Nick Wayne
Match 3 – Charlotte Flair vs Mandy Rose]
Renee:
“I am very intrigued by these matches, next week will be a great show!”
Corey:
“Which of these three matchups are you’re most looking forward to?”
Renee:
“Ooooo, I’d have to go with Roode vs Wayne. Roode’s experience vs Wayne’s innovation will be a brilliant clash of generations.”
Corey:
“Personally, Charlotte vs Mandy is my pick, they have both faced each other previously but several years ago. I’m looking forward to what their added experience shall bring to the bout.”
[Faby & Mary Apache make their entrance]
[The Bella Twins make their entrance]
[Meltear make their entrance]
Corey:
“Just a reminder to everyone on how this match will work, one member of each team will be considered legal. None of this only two people in the match at once, this is a triple threat, every team is legal. This is one fall to a finish, no elimination.”
Monumental Wresting women’s tag championship qualifier match.
Faby & Mary Apache vs The Bella Twins vs Meltear
[The bells rings]
Tam Nakano, Brie Bella and Faby Apache start the match.
HOT START! Faby Apache runs straight at Tam for a dropkick but gets side stepped. Brie goes to forearm Tam, but it’s blocked, Tam lands one back instead. German suplex from Faby to Tam once she’s back up! Lou Thesz by Brie!
[Brie shouts, “Brie mode” and the crowd fires up]

[Tam, Nikki and Faby are legal]
Tag! Faby tags in Mary who crossbodies Nikki.
SUPERKICK! Tam hits Mary! She then goes for the tag, but Nikki is at her ankles. Tam picks her up BUT SURPRISE! Nikki shoots up and puts Tam in a fireman carry position. RACK ATTACK 2.0!
1! 2! … BROKEN UP BY MARY!
Nikki picks up Mary, AGAIN! RACK ATTACK 2.0! But before Nikki can pin, Tam has tagged in Natsupoi. FAIRYSTRAIN TO NIKKI!

Corey:
“Incredible, Meltear have moved on to the finals at Ground Zero and what a way to do so with the beautiful Fairystrain.”
Renne:
“All three teams should be proud of their performance’s, but it was clear Meltear were just on a level above the rest.”
[Cuts to a video of Primo, Epico and Carlito drinking Pina Coladas in Puerto Rico]
Voice over:
“Introducing the shining stars of Puerto Rico. The Colons are the best of the best here, Primo & Epico the stellar tag team. Along with Carlito, a star singles competitor. Be sure to watch out, for these three will be arriving soon!”
[Cuts backstage to Wren Sinclair, Karman Petrovic & Hannah Taylor hanging out in the locker room]
[Dream Dollz enter the room]
Mariah May:
“Ladies…. We’d just like to remind you that you are looking at the future first EVER Monumental Wrestling Tag Team champions.”
Zoe Lucas:
“And just so you know, there is nothing you, or Meltear can do about it.”
Wren Sinclair:
“God, you two have been here for five minutes and we’re already sick of you.”
Zoe:
“Oh, boo freakin’ hoo. You sound like such a cry-baby.”
Karmen Petrovic:
“Well, you sound like you want a fight, care to put your money where your mouth is?”
Zoe:
“If it’ll shut you up then fine, I’ll see you on Friday Night Heat.”
[Dream Dollz leave]
Hannah Taylor:
“I’ll be in your corner, who knows what tricks they’ll try to pull.”
Karmen:
“Thank you”

[The crowd is buzzing for this matchup]
Corey:
“This is your main event of the first ever Monumental Wrestling show! The best bout machine Kenny Omega vs The prize fighter Kevin Owens. LET’S… GET… STARTED!”

Kenny Omega vs Kevin Owens
[The bell rings]
Both men slowly walk towards each other, soaking in the atmosphere, looking around. PUNCH thrown by Owens! Omega throws one back! BACK AND FORTH, BACK AND FORTH by these men. Kick to the gut by KO who spins around for a stunner attempt BUT OMEGA GETS HIM IN AN ELCECTIRC CHAIR POSITION…. KO wriggles out. Two very close attempts to finish this early. Kenny turns, SUPERKICK!

KO goes up top as Kenny lays in the ring, SWANTON BOMB!
1! 2! … NO! KICKOUT!
Owens rolls him out of the ring. Irish whip into the barricade!
[The camera zooms in on the face of Omega wincing in pain, it pans to KO]
KO IS RUNNING DIRECTLY TOWARDS KENNY! CANNON BALL! The sound absolutely rattles the metal barriers which echo throughout the arena.
******
[Back in the ring]
Chop by Kenny! He attempts another but it’s caught, KO bites it until he must stop. A dropkick by Omega leaves Owens leaning against the ropes. V-TRIGGER!
KO stumbles back SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! He rolls back up but turns around in his staggered state.
Kenny gets him up! ONE-WINGED ANGEL!
1! 2! … 3!
[Match time: 21 minutes 37 seconds]
Corey:
“Kenny Omega is your winner! He moves on in the tournament!”
Renee:
“They really stopped at nothing tonight and in the end, the better man won.”
Omega goes around ringside high-fiving fans, once he gets to the ramp he’s met with a bruised Kevin Owens who just stares him down. You can see him mouthing something towards the winner before heading to the back clutching his neck.
[The camera zooms into Kenny posing on the ramp as the picture fades to black]
