NXT’s biggest show of the year is in the rear view mirror and I thought this would be an opportune time to gaze into my crystal squared circle and predict what the future might hold. Although 2026 Stand & Deliver has not officially been confirmed, it is NXT’s flagship event over Wrestlemania weekend. It is gonna happen. Next year, Wrestlemania season will be in New Orleans, Louisiana. Last time this happened we got NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. One of the best Premium Live Events WWE have ever had.
This year we saw Oba Femi, Stephanie Vaquer, Ricky Saints and others walk out as champion. How will things look in a years time? Here are my thoughts.
North American Title Ladder Match
This year it was for the women but next year I think it will be for the men. I imagine that the feud between Ricky Saints and Ethan Page is far from over. It may continue on for the next few months. Whether Page takes it from Ricky himself or from someone else, I believe the maroon strap will eventually fall into the hands of ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page. Page’s championship celebrations are ruined by a returning star that Ethan put on the shelf, Noam Dar. Dar looks for revenge by taking the North American title from Page. The champion worms his way out of matches and wins the ones he is in by nefarious means.
Noam Dar is not the only man gunning for the North American title. In fact a bunch of stars want and opportunity and Ethan Page keeps filling them with empty promises of future title shots. General Manager Ava has seen enough and she books a ladder match with the title on the line. Ethan Page will defend against Lexis King, Noam Dar, Josh Briggs, Je’Von Evans and DarkState’s Osiris Griffin.
Both Dar and Evans have personal history with Page whilst the other 3 men primarily just want the title. Evans will surely provide a highlight reel of crazy spots and dives. Briggs and Griffin will be the powerhouses of the match, seemingly unstoppable. Ethan Page tries to buy time and find an opportunity to grab the title and run, but this is all about Je’Von Evans finally winning his first championship in NXT. He does so in the opening match of Stand & Deliver 2026.
Women’s North American Championship
Jaida Parker has been putting in some great performances challenging for the NXT women’s championship, but I don’t think she is fully ready for that spot. However, I think she does deserve a championship win and the North American title is a great start. I can see Jaida winning the title mid-to-late 2025 and having a pretty dominant run. At Stand & Deliver she comes up against her biggest test yet, Lash Legend.
Lash has been impressing me every time I see her, I think that she has main event potential too. I’d have Lash start focusing more on her solo career rather than teaming with fellow Meta-Girl Jakara Jackson. They don’t necessarily have to do a break up angle but if you want to you can. Lash Legend sets her sights on gold in a battle between two of NXT’s most badass women. I think this would be a great match and I would allow Parker to retain here.
NXT Tag CHampionship Fatal Four-Way
Whilst I don’t like DarkState, I dislike Hank and Tank even more and I don’t think they should hold the tag championships for very long. DarkState’s Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars defeat Hank & Tank to win the Tag Championships. DarkState can dominate the NXT tag division throughout 2025 and into 2026 defeating every team on the NXT roster, except for one. Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe. This team led by Wes Lee campaign for another title opportunity after being screwed out of the title by Cutler James’ interference.
However, there are 2 teams outside of WWE who want to prove that DarkState are not as great as they think they are. Firstly, it is the TNA Tag Team Champions which should be The Rascalz. Then, the AAA World Tag Team Champions also want in on this match. That should be the Aztec Warriors (Laredo Kid & Octagon Jr). This sets up a fatal four way elimination match here. 3 tag team champions, 1 title on the line.
I would have DarkState be the first team eliminated, eating finishers from all 3 of their opposing teams. We are guaranteed a new tag champion. From there, it is an uphill battle for DuPont and Igwe who are trying to compete with reigning champions. Wes Lee of course used to be a Rascal himself and I think that would be a nice cross-over. Wes helps Igwe & DuPont get a pinfall over his former team, The Rascalz and Lee get into a heated argument on the outside so Wes is thrown out by the referee.
Igwe and DuPont fight the AAA Tag champions and they manage to cause a massive upset, pinning Octagon Jr and winning their first piece of gold together.
Zaria vs Sol Ruca, Street Fight
Zaria is disappointed at her loss at Stand & Deliver, though she is happy for her friend winning. However, the jealousy and envy eats away at her slowly until she cannot cope anymore. Zaria turns on her best friend, decimating her before a title defence against someone like Izzi Dame, allowing a quick and easy title change. Zaria warns Ruca to steer clear of her and never return to NXT, but Sol is not going to do that. Ruca challenges her to a match even though she is not 100%. Zaria DESTROYS Ruca in a short, one-sided match. Zaria inflicts incredible amount of pain and the referee stops the match. Sol Ruca is stretchered away and Zaria looks like a new monster in NXT’s women’s division.
Months later, Zaria sets her sights on the women’s championship but she is prevented by a returning Sol Ruca with a kendo stick in hand and she wants to put Zaria out the same way she did to her. There is no other option but to put these ladies in a Street Fight at Stand & Deliver to settle the score. Who you have win here is up to you really. You can continue to push Zaria as an unbeatable monster on the path to the women’s championship, or you can put Sol Ruca over as the valiant hero exacting revenge on her former best friend. I would personally choose the latter.
The Lorenzo Family vs Hank & Tank
Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo betrayed The Don Tony D’Angelo at Stand & Deliver, but he told Luca Crusifino that he had his reasons and he will explain. I think over the coming weeks Lorenzo, who drops his Stacks nickname, tries to convince the family that he acted in their best interests whilst the Don has gone soft. D’Angelo claims that “this house ain’t big enough for the two of us” and sets up a loser leaves NXT match. Lorenzo defeats D’Angelo with help from the family, who all betray him and support their new boss. This faction is now called The Lorenzo Family. Tony D’Angelo can move up to the main roster whilst the Lorenzo Family begins a hostile takeover of NXT.
They target anyone they see as a threat to their success and that just so happens to include former tag champions, Hank and Tank. I don’t want to use them, but I cannot deny that they get crowd reactions and they will most likely be used. A tag match sees Lorenzo and Crusifino defeat Hank and Tank via shenanigans, female family member Adrianne Rizzo passing a crowbar to Lorenzo to use to win.
WOmen’s Championship
Stephanie Vaquer walked out of Stand and Deliver still the champion but Giulia did not look happy about it. I think we are going to get a programme between them over the next few months, hopefully with plenty of great matches. I think throughout their feud, Vaquer will hold on to the championship and Giulia will eventually move up to the main roster. Vaquer has a nice lengthy reign and tries to show up as often as she can as a defending champion. She has won over the fans as a fighting champion, but the workload is taking a toll on her body and it shows. She is constantly nursing injuries, which is never good when a Juggernaut steps up to the plate.
Jordynne Grace gets another crack at the women’s title in late 2025 and she defeats Vaquer easier than expected due to the injuries La Primera has sustained. Vaquer takes a brief leave of absence while Grace is on top of the division. The Juggeraut is proud of her achievement but it comes with an asterisk in the eyes of the rest of the division. Other female stars claim that Grace could only beat Vaquer because she was worn down by being one of the best women’s champions in NXT history. They don’t believe she deserves it. Grace is pissed and she begins to call out Vaquer to return for a rematch at Stand & Deliver to prove that she can beat her at full fitness.
Stephanie eventually answers the challenge and Stand & Deliver 2026 will be her last NXT match. They wrestle a banger which Grace wins clean, proving she deserves to be champion. Both women exchange a sign of respect, Vaquer waves goodbye to NXT as the main roster is ready for her.
NXT Championship
Oba Femi retained his championship against Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans and I would have him hold the title for another full year. Trick Williams, Ethan Page, Josh Briggs, Wes Lee. Whoever steps up to the ruler ultimately gets put down. The next man in line though, will be a hometown hero for New Orleans. The revolution will be televised as Ricky Saints is determined the be the one to end the reign of the ruler.
There doesn’t have to be much story here. Oba Femi is the unstoppable monster, Saints is the hometown favourite who wants to win the top prize. A David vs Goliath story works every time. Femi throws everything at Saints but somehow the challenger manages to stay alive and score a huge victory over Oba Femi. Ricky Saints ends Stand & Deliver 2026 holding up the NXT championship in front of his friends and family in New Orleans. A perfect happy ending.
