Biography
Few wrestlers can turn an arena into a single bouncing, arm-waving mass the way Jey Uso does. In autumn 2026 the former World Heavyweight Champion is back at the heart of Monday Night Raw, reunited with twin brother Jimmy inside a rebuilt Bloodline and locked in a running war with The 946, a fight that took a fresh twist on the 12 October Raw when Carmelo Hayes sided with the group and wrecked a six-man clash involving The Usos and Solo Sikoa.
Wrestling was always the family trade. Joshua Fatu is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi and part of the sprawling Anoaʻi dynasty. After playing college football at the University of West Alabama, he learned the business under his father and alongside Jimmy, starting out on the independent scene in 2007 as one of The Fatu Twins. WWE signed both brothers, sent them to Florida Championship Wrestling, and in May 2010 they arrived on Raw by attacking The Hart Dynasty.
For the next decade The Usos were WWE's tag team benchmark. Their 2017 series with The New Day, capped by a Hell in a Cell bout that October, is still remembered as one of the best tag rivalries of the modern era, and they became the first team to hold both the Raw and SmackDown tag titles. In 2020 Jey stepped out alone to challenge cousin Roman Reigns, lost a brutal I Quit match at Hell in a Cell, and then pledged himself to Reigns as the enforcer of The Bloodline. That run produced a record 622-day SmackDown title reign, the unification of both sets of tag belts, and a WrestleMania 39 main event against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn that Dave Meltzer rated five stars.
The cracks finally split open in June 2023. Jey walked out on The Bloodline, pinned Reigns in the Bloodline Civil War at Money in the Bank in London, and then lost a Tribal Combat match at SummerSlam after Jimmy turned on him. He moved to Raw, where fans adopted him as Main Event Jey. He briefly held the Undisputed Tag Team titles with Cody Rhodes, won his first singles gold by beating Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship in September 2024, and then went on the run of his life in 2025: winning the Royal Rumble by last eliminating John Cena, then beating Gunther at WrestleMania 41 for the World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther took the title back on Raw that June after 51 days.
Since then the family story has pulled him back in. After coming up short against CM Punk for the vacant world title in November 2025, Jey reformed The Usos with Jimmy and won the World Tag Team Championship on 29 December, holding it until The Vision took it in a March 2026 street fight. He beat The Vision alongside LA Knight at WrestleMania 42, rejoined Reigns and Jacob Fatu in a new-look Bloodline, reached the King of the Ring final before losing to Oba Femi at Night of Champions, and in August beat Solo Sikoa to drag him back into the family fold. With Hayes now lined up with The 946, the Usos have a new war on their hands.
