Born in Woodstock, Georgia into wrestling royalty — his father is Rick Steiner, and his uncle is Scott Steiner, one half of the legendary Steiner Brothers — Bronson Rechsteiner grew up with wrestling in his blood but initially pursued football, playing four years as a running back for Kennesaw State University and briefly signing with the Baltimore Ravens as a fullback in 2020 before being released. He turned his full attention to wrestling, signed with WWE in February 2021, and within months was already being treated as a future main event star. He dominated NXT, winning the NXT Championship three times including a run where he unified it with the NXT UK Championship — a remarkable achievement for someone only months into their career. His main roster arrival in 2024 was eagerly anticipated and completely delivered, with a feud against Sami Zayn over the Intercontinental Championship producing some of the best matches of either man’s year. Still only 27 years old, Bron Breakker is already one of WWE’s most exciting and physically imposing performers.
