Biography
Brody King is enjoying the best spell of his career. On 17 October 2026 at WrestleDream in Orlando he, Bandido and Hangman Adam Page won back the AEW World Trios Championship from Swerve Strickland and The New Level in a two-out-of-three falls match, giving King a record-tying third reign with the titles. A towering, tattooed heavyweight from Van Nuys, California, he took his ring name in tribute to Bruiser Brody and Brodie Lee, and outside the ring he fronts the hardcore punk band God's Hate, whose look and attitude carry straight into his wrestling.
King trained under Joey Kaos at the Santino Bros Wrestling Academy, with further coaching from Rocky Romero, and made his debut in July 2015. Within a year he had won All Pro Wrestling's Young Lions Cup, and by 2018 he was a name on the Southern California circuit, with appearances for PWG and Major League Wrestling, where he brawled with PCO. In August 2018 he beat A.C.H. for the AAW Heavyweight Championship, and at the end of that year he formed Villain Enterprises with Marty Scurll on a tour of Australia before signing with Ring of Honor.
Villain Enterprises made an instant impact in ROH. In March 2019 King and PCO took the ROH World Tag Team Championship from The Briscoes in a Las Vegas street fight, and the following night the trio added the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team titles. King and PCO also won the 2019 Crockett Cup, earning the NWA World Tag Team Championship, while King made his first appearances for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. After Villain Enterprises split, he led the hard-hitting Violence Unlimited group in 2021.
King arrived in AEW in January 2022 as the muscle behind Malakai Black, and alongside Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart the House of Black became one of the company's most distinctive acts. He won the Royal Rampage in 2022, and in March 2023 the House of Black beat The Elite at Revolution for the AEW World Trios Championship, holding it until All In at Wembley that August. The group turned babyface in mid-2024 before Black's departure in early 2025 ended its run.
That opened the door for Brodido, King's partnership with Bandido, which won the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Forbidden Door in August 2025. Their defence against Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita at WrestleDream 2025 and the loss to FTR at Full Gear that November both earned five stars from Dave Meltzer. In 2026 King moved into the world title picture, beating MJF in an eliminator before losing to him at Grand Slam Australia, challenging Darby Allin in April and reaching the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Cup. In August he, Bandido and Page won the Trios titles from The Demand at Grand Slam Mexico, lost them at All In, fell short again at All Out and then reclaimed them at WrestleDream, leaving King as one of AEW's top babyface heavyweights this autumn.
