Biography
Kevin Knight has gone from New Japan young lion to one of AEW's most talked-about villains in barely five years. The high-flying Atlanta native spent much of 2026 as TNT Champion, setting a record for successful defences of that title, and since May he has been a member of Don Callis's stable after a shock turn on his friends. He is signed to both AEW and NJPW and also turns up regularly in CMLL.
Knight started wrestling in May 2019, working on the Canadian and American independent scenes as Jet Knight. In 2020 New Japan took him on at its Los Angeles Dojo, where he went through the traditional young lion apprenticeship under the eye of Katsuyori Shibata and wrestled on the company's US shows. He made his debut in Japan at Historic X-Over in November 2022 and soon formed the Intergalactic Jet Setters with veteran Kushida.
The Jet Setters gave Knight his first gold, winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship in April 2023, and they regained the belts in October 2024 before losing them in a ladder match at Wrestle Kingdom 19. By then Knight had tasted AEW and Impact, and in March 2025 Tony Khan confirmed he had signed with All Elite Wrestling. He replaced the injured Jay White in that year's Owen Hart Cup and in June formed JetSpeed with "Speedball" Mike Bailey, a team that quickly became a fan favourite but came up short in AEW World Tag Team title matches at All In and All Out.
The breakthrough came in 2026. JetSpeed and "Hangman" Adam Page won the AEW World Trios Championship in January, and after losing them in March the duo regained the belts at Revolution with Místico. In April Knight won the vacant TNT Championship in a Casino Gauntlet at Dynasty, his first singles title anywhere. Then, at Double or Nothing in May, he attacked Darby Allin and Bailey, broke up JetSpeed and joined the Don Callis Family.
As a heel champion Knight piled up defences, passing the record for successful TNT title defences in July, and he also challenged Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at Redemption. Allin finally ended his 142-day reign in a Falls Count Anywhere match at All In in August. Knight and Kyle Fletcher then beat Allin and Steven Borden at All Out to earn a shot at the tag titles, but The Young Bucks retained against them at WrestleDream on 17 October 2026, with Matt Jackson pinning Knight. With Callis in his corner and Fletcher as a partner, he remains one of the most athletic heels on the roster.
