AEW TNT Championship: Kevin Knight (c) defeated MJF to retain. MJF attempted to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Knight responded with a low blow and rolled him up for the three count at around 16 minutes. MJF attacked Knight’s leg after the match. Darby Allin then descended from the rafters Sting-style and surprised MJF with a Scorpion Death Drop. MJF got on the mic and demanded another shot at the AEW World Title, but Allin said Kevin Knight would get the next shot if he got past Brody King in the main event. King came out and promised that when he beats Allin, Knight would be facing the new AEW World Champion.
Tag Team Match: The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter) defeated Emily Jaye and Jordan Blade.
AEW International Championship: Kazuchika Okada (c) defeated Ace Austin to retain.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviewed Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. When asked about FTR’s proposal to add an “I Quit” stipulation to their Double or Nothing Street Fight, Cage immediately accepted. Copeland pointed out the irony given Cage’s history with “I Quit” matches in AEW.
Tag Team Match: Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta).
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Divine Dominion (Lena Kross and Megan Bayne) (c) defeated Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander to retain.
Singles Match: Rush defeated Steven Fuerte.
Segment: Will Ospreay appeared at Jon Moxley’s invitation, with Moxley telling him to forget everything he knows and drop all excess baggage. Ospreay accepted, and the two got to work training together.
Next Week Announced: Orange Cassidy vs. Dax Harwood. If Cassidy wins, he can challenge for the Tag Titles with any partner of his choosing; if Harwood wins, FTR can challenge for the Trios Titles.
AEW World Championship (Main Event): Darby Allin (c) defeated Brody King to retain. Allin outlasted King for his second successful title defense, with the finish coming via a powerbomb onto the exposed floor area. After the match, King got to his feet to show respect to the champion. Kevin Knight was shown staring down the man he would challenge for the World Title next week.
A packed show with four title matches, all champions retaining, and the road to Double or Nothing on May 24 taking clear shape.
