The show opened with Adam Copeland addressing his and Christian Cage’s tag title loss to FTR at Dynasty. Cope, sporting a heavy black eye, noted Cage was absent getting an MRI on a possible broken forearm. FTR and Stokely interrupted, before Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero jumped Copeland from behind. The Young Bucks ran out to make the save.
The Young Bucks def. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed) — TK Driver on Wentz for the pinfall. Strong opener with The Rascalz taking early control before the Bucks turned the tide. Post-match, The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors) blindsided both teams, with Connors warning the entire tag division.
AEW World Trios Championship Eliminator: The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly) def. The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, Blake Christian & Lee Johnson) — O’Reilly forced Johnson to submit via ankle lock. Essentially a showcase for the champs.
Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander def. Big Anne & Danika Della Rouge — Saturday Night Fever for the pin. One-sided affair, though Shida teased a heel turn before handing the finish to Statlander. Afterwards, Mina Shirakawa confronted the pair and hinted Shida may have been responsible for the recent attack on Toni Storm.
AEW Continental Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley (c) def. Nick Wayne — Death Rider at the 16-minute mark. Wayne, in his hometown and still playing heel despite Moxley also being one, got plenty of offence and busted Moxley open hardway near his right eye. Solid main-event-adjacent match.
PAC def. Lio Rush — Brutalizer, referee stoppage. Rush was doing a Gollum-esque act throughout, which some found distracting. Serviceable but the least-liked match on the card per reviewers.
Mistico, Brody King & Mascara Dorada def. Ricky Gibson, Bull Rivera & KC Riff — King pinned Gibson after the Gonzo Bomb. Standard showcase trios match. Bandido was featured in a pre-taped “The Most Wanted” vignette ahead of next month’s ROH Supercard of Honor.
Main Event — AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla (c) def. Alex Windsor — Thekla retained after using brass knuckles to level Windsor, then followed up with a stomp for the pinfall. Reviewed as the best match of the night by most outlets.
Other notes: Jack Perry cut a backstage promo challenging any member of the Don Callis Family. Don Callis and Kazuchika Okada were interviewed, with Okada insisting on going through with his upcoming match against Konosuke Takeshita. Anthony Bowens pressed Hook on whether he’s in or out of The Opps, with Hook promising an answer next week.
Overall a soft follow-up to a hugely consequential Dynamite (which saw Darby Allin win the AEW World Title from MJF), but a watchable one anchored by the Bucks/Rascalz opener and a strong women’s main event.
