CHARLOTTE
FLAIR

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Ric Flair — one of the most decorated professional wrestlers in history — Ashley Fliehr grew up around wrestling but initially pursued a career in volleyball, winning two North Carolina state championships in high school before attending university and qualifying as a personal trainer. She came to wrestling relatively late, signing with WWE in 2012 and making her NXT debut as simply “Charlotte.” She was part of the NXT Four Horsewomen alongside Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley — the generation of women who fundamentally transformed what women’s wrestling could be in WWE. Elevated to the main roster in 2015 as part of the Women’s Revolution, Charlotte immediately established herself as the division’s premier performer, combining elite athleticism, genuine size and presence, and technical ability inherited from her father. She became the final Divas Champion and the inaugural WWE Raw Women’s Champion, setting the standard for the new era from day one. No woman in WWE history has won more world championships.
