Naomi appeared on Raw last night to announce that she is laying down the Women’s World Championship because she is expecting a child with her partner, Jimmy Uso.
Naomi won the title recently by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract and has been gaining lots of momentum in recent weeks as champion. She turned heel earlier this year and has really been on a roll.
She told Adam Pearce, who was in the ring with her at the time, to get lost and then made the announcement to the Philadelphia crowd.
So with Naomi out of action now for probably a year at least, what happens next? Naomi was due to meet Stephanie Vaquer at Clash in Paris later this month, but that will now need to be addressed.
