Biography
Megan Bayne is one of the most physically imposing women in All Elite Wrestling, a towering powerhouse who pairs raw strength with a cold, menacing presence. Alongside Lena Kross she forms Divine Dominion, the duo who ruled the AEW Women's World Tag Team division for much of 2026, and she heads into the autumn fresh from a win on the WrestleDream pre-show.
Born Megan Doheny in East Haven, Connecticut, she learned her trade at Ohio Valley Wrestling in Louisville, where coaches including Rip Rogers, Al Snow, Matt Cappotelli and Damian Adams shaped her. She debuted for OVW in November 2017 and went on to hold the OVW Women's Championship, eventually dropping it to Max the Impaler in October 2019. Away from Louisville she built a reputation on the independent scene, chiefly with Game Changer Wrestling and House of Glory, where she captured the HOG Women's Championship. In July 2021 she won ECWA's Women's Super 8 tournament, and that May she had already had a first taste of AEW on its Dark programme. A torn ACL in early 2022 then cost her the rest of that year.
Her stock rose sharply in Japan. Bayne arrived in World Wonder Ring Stardom in July 2023 by attacking Tam Nakano, challenged her unsuccessfully for the World of Stardom Championship, the promotion's 'red belt', a few weeks later, and then teamed with Maika as Divine Kingdom to win the 2023 Goddesses of Stardom Tag League. Her clash with Giulia at Dream Queendom that December earned Stardom's Best Match award for the year, and in April 2024 she challenged Maika for the World of Stardom Championship at American Dream in Philadelphia.
AEW finally brought her in properly in January 2025, when she entered the women's Casino Gauntlet, and her signing was confirmed that February. She made an instant impression by ambushing Thunder Rosa and aligning with Penelope Ford as MegaBad, earned an AEW Women's World Championship match against Toni Storm at Dynasty in April, and later won a street fight against Anna Jay and Harley Cameron. In November 2025 she was on the victorious side of the first-ever women's Blood & Guts match, standing with Mercedes Moné, Marina Shafir, Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue. She also kept a foot in Stardom, reaching the semi-finals of the 2025 tag league with Hanako.
The tag titles became her focus in 2026. MegaBad fell short against the Babes of Wrath in Australia in February, but Lena Kross soon arrived, and with Ford injured, Bayne and Kross became Divine Dominion. They took the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championship from the Babes of Wrath at Revolution in March and defended it through the spring, while Bayne also challenged Syuri for the IWGP Women's Championship in April. Their reign ended after 168 days when The Brawling Birds beat them at All In at Wembley on 30 August, but Divine Dominion bounced back by defeating the Sisters of Sin at WrestleDream on 17 October.
