Would You Buy WrestleMania?

All Your Wrestling By All Your Wrestling 21 Apr 2025 3 min read

So WrestleMania 41 is in the books and there has been a LOT of feedback shall we say, from means across the globe.

Some positive, most negative.

This got me thinking. Would you pay for WrestleMania? We used to!

I know the world has changed now with WWE being on Netflix across the globe, therefore taking away the need to pay big bucks for it. But what if we still had to pay? Would this change the product?

So the majority of the feedback has been negative but I’m going to try and focus on some positives first.

Jey Uso winning the title was a good decision. I’m not going to go into the way in which he won, that’s not what this article is about. I do feel business-wise, at this moment, they are capturing on the hype of Jey and it’s a decent move.

The Seth/Punk/Reigns match was the culmination of some very intriguing storytelling and worthy of a WrestleMania main event.

Rhea/Iyo/Bianca tore down the house and we got a good result in the IC match, with the crowd seemingly behind Dirty Dom.

Despite the good stuff, we also had some not so good. I’m not going to list it all, you can make your own mind up there.

So, the question. What if we had to pay for Mania?

Would you have paid $60 dollars (or £25 if you’re British like moi) for WrestleMania 42?

Before you answer, look at your bank account. Now imagine the money leaving your account as you pay for it. Right, now answer. Would you have paid for it?

And how would you feel if you did? Value for money? We did get 2 nights of around 8 hours after all.

The quality this year has left a lot to be desired and you wonder if WWE would try a lot harder if they knew they had to sell the PPV. One of the main complaints this year was the build towards the event and how it was majorly lacking (bar the Seth/Punk/Reigns story of course).

Also, the sheer number of adverts was insane this year. Ads in entrances, ring mat, ring posts, ring rails, stadium boards, Cole reading out ads every 5 mins, even the bloody Superstar entrance to the arena was sponsored!

I would love to know your thoughts on what WWE would have done if they had to sell the PPV to those at home.

How would the card look? How would the build-up look?

What would the results be?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
