It’s that time again! Dynasty hits us tonight and there are some intriguing matches taking place on what is a stacked card once again.
We have the Owen Hart tournament kicking off, with some quarter-final matches, we have many title matches and we have a main event which sees Jon Moxley try to keep a tight grip on the AEW World Title, against a man who sees it as his destiny to win it for a second time.
This is Dynasty….
Will Ospreay vs Kevin Knight (Owen Hart QF)

Ospreay is on a mission to win the Owen and main event ALL IN. Problem is, so is Hangman. And Fletcher. Takeshita. And everyone is. This Owen tournament is stacked and we kick things off with Ospreay vs Kevin Knight. Knight is new to AEW, and he looks great, but let’s face it, no-one is expecting him to win here. Ospreay will ensure Knight looks incredible of course, but Ospreay will pick up the win.
Kyle Fletcher vs Mark Briscoe (Owen Hart QF)

Fletcher has been on an upward trajectory this past 12 months and he will surely go a bit further than the QFs here. His feud with Will Ospreay was hard-hitting and came to a close (for now) at Revolution in spectacular fashion. Are they destined to meet again in the final of this tournament? They could well be.
I have been getting more and more fond of Mark Briscoe. He has done incredibly well to solidify himself as a genuine singles competitor, however, I can’t see him winning this one. Fletch to win this one here.
Mercedes Mone vs Julia Hart (Owen Hart QF)

Quite a last-minute addition to the Dynasty card. Julia and Mone were involved in a tag match this past week on Collision in which Julia Hart came out on top (although not pinning Mercedes).
Mercedes has been putting on banger after banger on PPV these past six months (after taking a lot of flak) and I love how Julia has grown these past two years. I am intrigued to see where Julia goes now she is out of Malakai’s shadow. However, it won’t be very far in this tournament.
Hurt Syndicate vs Big Bill & Bryan Keith (Tag Team Titles)

Well holy shit, are we finally going to get a Big Bill face-turn? Jericho has been challenging his troops these past few weeks and this has culminated in this match for the tag titles at Dynasty. I can’t see the Hurt Syndicate losing these titles right now. I have been loving the prestige they have brought to the titles and they are just getting started with their run.
On the flip side, I can see Jericho coming out after this match, perhaps to start his match, and kicking off with Bill and Keith. This would be the perfect time for Bill to flip out and show Jericho that he can roll solo. So prediction – MJF comes out and knocks out Big Bill for The Hurt Syndicate to pick up the win, with Lashley looking at MJF confused and pissed at the end.
Chris Jericho vs Bandido (ROH World Title)

The end of The Learning Tree? Quite possibly. Jericho has taken a lot of heat over the past year. He has had nuclear ‘go away’ heat and he flipped it into his current ‘Learning Tree’ gimmick. He has been an asset of course to AEW and I can’t imagine he is going anywhere soon. Maybe a loss here to Bandido (who could carry ROH into a new direction for a few months) and a Big Bill face-turn, will precede a short break. Give us a chance to miss Y2J a little before bringing him back.
Daniel Garcia vs Adam Cole (TNT Title)

I just haven’t been able to get invested in Daniel Garcia’s TNT run and the same can be said of Adam Cole’s run in AEW as a whole. Yes, he has had rotten luck with injuries and the devil storyline being destroyed by injury. He did have a very enjoyable few months playing with MJF, but I now want more from him. I want to see him take this title and do something big with it. Come on Bay Bay, show us the real Adam Cole!
Sorry Danny, it’s been a boring run and it’s back to the drawing board. Cole to win the title here at Dynasty.
Death Riders vs Rated FTR (Trios Titles)

I feel like we are nearing the end of the Death Riders. Something big is going to happen to rip them apart. We have been teased with the team of Cope and FTR having big issues these past few weeks and is this going to be the start of the heel turn for FTR? It seems Dax is losing his mind a little and is taking issue with Cope intruding on his friendship with Cash.
I feel like it is too predictable to go down the road of them breaking up here. So here it goes…Rated FTR win the titles. They can definitely go a few more months but have them as the champs and keep sowing the seeds of doubt in Dax’s mind, before imploding around ALL IN time. Also, this can be the start of splitting the Death Riders.
Kenny Omega vs Ricochet vs Speedball Mike Bailey

I must say how much I am loving this heel Ricochet in AEW. A banger of a feud with Swerve (does Swerve ever disappoint?) and now into this feud for the International Title. Speedball has been a very cool signing for AEW and I’m sure there is so much more in store for him. Does anyone see Kenny dropping the title here at Dynasty?
I certainly don’t either. The match will be everything we envision for sure, but Kenny retains so he can continue the path to Okada at ALL IN.
Timeless Toni Storm vs Megan Bayne

Well what a year the Timeless one has had! After an incredible feud with the Glamour Mariah May, Megan Bayne rudely interrupted her. Bayne is a machine. She gives me female Lesnar vibes (might be the finisher) and I love how she has been booked like a monster so far.
I originally going to predict a Megan Bayne win for shock value and for something a bit different. However, I’ve got lots of other title changes happening in my predictions, so I’m going to go for Toni to retain, but she is going to take a good ol’ fashioned beating after the match.
Jon Moxley vs Swerve Strickland (AEW World Title)

And here we go. This is it. The end of the Death Riders as we know them. I want Swerve to win this with everything I have. The Death Riders storyline has been dead in the water for months. Completely rudderless with rambling promo after rambling promo. Also, I WANT TO SEE THE BLOODY TITLE!!
It would be nice to see the members of this faction to go and do something a little different. This would be great for Swerve as well, as he won the title at last year’s Dynasty event. The question here is, will Hangman get involved? After their interaction on Dynamite this past week, I am going to predict that Death Riders all get involved, but Hangman comes out and clears house, for Swerve to win the title and complete this chapter of their story (AEW doesn’t do stories, does it? Ha!)
Come on Swerve! Save us!
