Biography
Ricochet is one of the most spectacular high-flyers wrestling has ever produced, and in autumn 2026 he is a smug, scheming heel in AEW at the head of The Demand alongside Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona. The former inaugural AEW National Champion added another acclaimed bout to his collection against Will Ospreay in September and fought for the AEW World Championship in the Clockwork Carnage match at WrestleDream.
Trevor Mann started wrestling as a teenager in 2003 and made his name in IWA Mid-South and Chikara, where he won the Young Lions Cup under a mask as Helios. From 2010 he became a regular for Dragon Gate and Dragon Gate USA, collecting a stack of their titles and, in March 2014, becoming the first foreign wrestler to hold the Open the Dream Gate Championship. He was a standout in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla too, the only man to win the Battle of Los Angeles twice (2014 and 2017) and a former PWG World Champion.
In New Japan he won the 2014 Best of the Super Juniors, held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship three times and the NEVER Openweight 6-Man titles three times, and his 2016 Super Juniors match with Ospreay became a talking point across the industry. At the same time he was the masked Prince Puma on Lucha Underground, winning the Aztec Warfare match to become the show's first champion.
WWE signed him in 2018. He debuted in the six-man ladder match at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, beat Adam Cole for the North American Championship that August and moved up to the main roster in 2019, winning the United States Championship from Samoa Joe at Stomping Grounds. He won the Intercontinental Championship from Sami Zayn in March 2022, and in 2024 became the first WWE Speed Champion before leaving the company that summer.
Ricochet arrived in AEW as a surprise entrant in the Casino Gauntlet at All In 2024 and was part of a three-way with Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita at WrestleDream that October that Dave Meltzer rated five and a half stars. He reached the semi-finals of the Continental Classic, then turned heel for good by attacking Swerve Strickland with a pair of scissors on New Year's Day 2025. Joining forces with the Gates of Agony as The Demand, he won the Casino Gauntlet at Full Gear 2025 to become the first AEW National Champion, defending the title in CMLL, NJPW and on the independents before losing it in March 2026.
The rest of 2026 has brought a feud with Chris Jericho and a week-long AEW World Trios Championship reign after The Demand beat The Conglomeration in July. A Dynamite meeting with Ospreay on 30 September drew five stars from Meltzer, and at WrestleDream on 17 October Ricochet was one of the seven challengers Ospreay overcame in the Clockwork Carnage match.
