TNA Impact March 6th Results

This week’s TNA Impact was held at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

Elijah def. Brian Myers

Both of these men will be in the 10-man tag team match at the Sacrifice PLE. Alisha Edwards was at ringside and shifted control to Myers early on. Elijah took the advantage and hit Drift Away for a near fall. Myers then came back with a near fall off an implant DDT. Eddie Edwards came out to get involved but Elijah sent Myers crashing down into him. Elijah then scored the win with the Highwayman’s Farewell.

AJ Francis hosted the second episode of his First Class Penthouse starring KC Navarro. Steve Maclin, who defeated Navarro last week, interrupted to pick a fight with Francis.

Savannah Evans def. Xia Brookside

Rosemary was keeping a close eye on this match. Evans took control early, taking Brookside out with a bear hug. Brookside retaliated with a top-rope crossbody. However, her hesitation allowed Evans to belt her from behind and get the victory.

Mike Santana def. John Skyler

Santana went after Skyler’s partner Jason Hotch in the early stages of the match which allowed Skyler to take control. Santana quickly took it back though with a running powerbomb for the win.

AJ Francis def. Steve Maclin

Maclin starts off hitting Francis with Caught in the Crosshairs but Francis retaliated with KIA. Francis then scored a near fall off the TFL. Judas Icarus and Travis Williams of The Northern Armory arrived to try to distract Francis. Eric Young wanted to help Maclin, who declined taking the help. This allowed Francis to hit the Down Payment for the win.

TNA X-Division Champion Moose is set to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship next week at NXT Roadblock. Moose came with his allies in The System and his own security team. Femi congratulated Moose on his dominance in TNA but promised to be a different kind of opponent for him. Moose promised to become the Face of NXT just like he sees himself as the Face of TNA. Femi wants to fight but System member JDC has other plans. The security team launch an attack on Femi. Femi fights them off so The System join in only for Moose to accidentally take out JDC. Femi takes down Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers before being hit by a Spear from Moose. Moose ends the segment standing tall with the NXT and X-Division Titles.

The Northern Armory (Eric Young, Judas Icarus and Travis Williams) def. Ace Austin and The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz)

The Rascalz hit Williams with a double superkick at ringside. Young took the upper hand, illegally laying out Wentz with a clothesline on the apron. The Armory turned Wentz into a face in peril. However, Wentz fights back and neutralises Young. Miguel goes on offence to quicken the pace of the match. The Rascalz go for a pin on Young but Williams makes the save. Young nails Austin with a Death Valley Driver. Then, NXT’s Wes Lee, Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont make their way to ringside. Wentz took out Igwe and Dupont with a top-rope crossbody. The chaos allows Williams to take out Miguel and Young hits a Piledriver for the win.

TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich is set to defend against NXT’s Cora Jade at Sacrifice. Jade makes the interruption to call Slamovich an overhyped champion. Tessa Blanchard surprise attacks Slamovich but Lei Ying Lee makes the save. Blanchard and Jade are seen leaving together to end the segment.

TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) def. The Colons (Eddie Colon and Orlando Colon) via DQ (non-title match)

Matt charged into the corner to attack Orlando but he was saved by Eddie. NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom were shown observing from backstage ahead of their title shot at NXT Roadblock next week. Matt was able to get out of peril to tag in Jeff. Jeff’s offence quickened the pace of the match. Matt connected with a Side Effect and The Plot Twist. However, an attack by The System caused the DQ finish.
