TNA Impact March 27th Results

This week’s TNA Impact was held at El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas.

TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance def. NXT’s Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley (non-title match)

Spitfire (Dani Luna and Jody Threat) as well as NXT’s The Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend) were watching from backstage as they were banned from ringside. The Personal Concierge shoved Paxley off the top-rope, allowing Ash to hit Rarified Air to win.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. and The Aztec Warriors (Laredo and Octagon Jr.) def. First Class (AJ Francis and KC Navarro) and Frankie Kazarian

The match started with a fast pace as the face team were in control. Francis delivered illegal offence from the apron to swing the advantage to his team. Francis showed off his strength, lifting and slamming The Aztecs. Guerrero went on offence delivering a series of suplexes to the other team. He then hit the Gory Bomb and the Frog Splash on Navarro to win.

TNA Knockouts World Championship Masha Slamovich def. NXT’s Jacy Jayne (non-title match)

Jayne started off aggressive, cutting off Slamovich and hitting a running boot on the apron. Slamovich retaliated with lots of offence to quicken the pace. A Requiem attempt was made but Jade countered with a running knee strike for a near fall. Slamovich then dropped Jayne on the apron and hit the Snow Plow to get the win.

Eric Young def. Ace Austin

Young tried to use this match to prove to Steve Maclin that being part of The Northern Armory (also consisting of Judas Icarus and Travis Williams) is beneficial due to the numbers advantage it brings. Young distracted the referee to allow Williams to cheap shot Austin from ringside. Young even bit Austin and then hit an elbow drop. More interference from The Armory allowed Young to get the win with a Piledriver.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry came to address what was next for him. He maintains his mission statement to defend the title anywhere against anyone from any company. Elijah came out to say he didn’t want to challenge for the title because he believes in Hendry. An impromptu concert began but Frankie Kazarian came out for the interruption. He insulted the crowd before being fought off by Elijah and Hendry.

Nic Nemeth def. Leon Slater

This was a first-time match and very exciting prospect. Slater flew over the ring post to hit Nic at ringside. Nic retaliated by targeting the left knee of Slater. Nic dodged a Swanton 450 from Slater and then hit the Famouser for a near fall. Nic started to show that he wasn’t happy that he hadn’t beat Slater yet. Slater hit the Twist of Slate but Nic got his knees up to counter a second Swanton 450 attempt. Ryan Nemeth ran interference, allowing Nic to hit a superkick and Danger Zone to get the win.
