AEW RANKINGS: ELITE 15 – SEPTEMBER

Kane Carnage By Kane Carnage 8 Sep 2025 6 min read

Here we are for the monthly update of AEW‘s Elite 15. On a monthly basis we are going to use a carefully selected criteria to Power Rank the Top 15 most Elite of All Elite Wrestling. This will show us who AEW are pushing the most on our screens. We only reach a certain number of wrestlers, not showing everyone, due to them either not wrestling much or wins aren’t so important to their current story.

Only 15 will get a major feature.

Criteria

Are they a Champion? + 10 for a Singles Champion and +5 for a Tag or Trios Champion.
Win/Loss record: +1 for a win -1 for a loss.
PPVWins/PPVAppearances: +3 for a win and +1 for making it to a PPV.
Tournament Wins: +2 for winning any match considered a Tournament match.
Win %: If you have a 100% record, that’s 10 points. 83.8% record, that’s 8.3 points.

As per request, I’ve gone and put together an extended list of 45 names. So let’s do that first. Sorry if some names are missed. You may see some obvious ones off but when doing this I decided that a competitor had to have at least 5 matches in AEW before being eligible for these rankings.

44. Julia Hart – 4.5
43. Kevin Knight – 4.6

42. Claudio – 5.4
41. Dani Garcia – 5.8

34. Willow – 10
33. Statlander – 10.6
32. Thelka – 11.6
31. Jamie Hayter – 11.7
30. Mike Bailey – 13.1
29. MJF – 14.2

20. Ricochet – 20.9
19. Shibata – 23
18. Dax Harwood – 24.5
17. Megan Bayne – 25.3
16. Hologram – 26

15. Bandido

Image of Bandido, an AEW wrestler, wearing a mask and posing on a colorful background with the AEW logo and his name displayed.

Champion?: YES = 5
Wins: 14 = 14
Losses: 11 = -11
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 3 = 3
Tourn.Ws: 2 = 4
Win %: 56 = 5.6
TOTAL: 26.6

Bandido is our only new entrant this month, having and incredible rise over the past few month putting on amazing matches left and right. Unfortunately I can’t include ROH events /matches here otherwise he would be near the top. Bandido, with Brody King, gaining 13.4 points in this month, with a Championship win and a tournament run. Brodido is now a very hot act and I can’t wait to see more of them.

14. CASH wheeler

Image featuring Cash Wheeler, a professional wrestler, prominently displayed with his name below him against a colorful background with AEW logo.

Champion?: NO =
Wins: 17 = 17
Losses: 6 = -6
PPVWins: 1 = 3
PPVApps: 3 = 3
Tourn.Ws: 2 = 4
Win %: 73.9 = 7.3
TOTAL: 28.3

Cash maintains his 14th position with 2 wins and 1 loss this month. Not competing in singles matches as much as Dax has helped Cash a lot in getting where he is here. Big PPV match ahead for Cash and Dax vs the reunited Cope and Christian.

13. Swerve Strickland

A professional wrestler named Swerve Strickland is shown posing confidently with sunglasses and a stylish jacket, framed by the AEW logo.

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 15 = 15
Losses: 7 = -7
PPVWins: 3 = 9
PPVApps: 5 = 5
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 68.1 = 6.8
TOTAL: 28.8

Swerve holds his 13th position but is the first person to drops points this month in our top 15. A vast contrast from the 9.9 points he acquired last month. Only one match this month and it’s a loss to the undefeated Okada. Swerve is also added to the AEW injury list. We wish him a speedy recover.

12. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA

Image featuring Konosuke Takeshita, a professional wrestler, with the AEW logo in the background.

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 22 = 22
Losses: 7 = -7
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 1 = 2
Win %: 75.8 = 7.5
TOTAL: 33.5

Konosuke falls down a position but its very forgivable. Konosuke was participating and winning NJPWs G! Climax, guaranteeing himself a shot at the NJPW World Championship. Takeshita still managed to compete and win 2 matches in August, after competing in the entire G1. He falls 1 position but an incredible month for Konosuke.

11. Shelton Benjamin

A professional wrestler named Shelton Benjamin stands confidently, showcasing his muscular physique. The background features vibrant colors with the AEW logo prominently displayed. His name is featured prominently at the bottom.

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 12 = 12
Losses: 2 = -2
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 5 = 5
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 85.7 = 8.5
TOTAL: 35.5

Shelton also only competed in 1 match during August and it was a loss of his AEW World Tag Team Championship. However, this doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Singles gold is still available and Shelton is good enough to hold any of that gold.

10. Kenny OMega

Kenny Omega posing with a confident gesture, featuring a colorful background with the AEW logo.

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 9 = 9
Losses: 2 = -2
PPVWins: 5 = 15
PPVApps: 6 = 6
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 81.8 = 8.1
TOTAL: 36.1

Omega climbs back up a few spots this month with only 1 match, but it was a PPV Win and an important one, Moving from 12th – 10th. It’s unclear but likely he’s been written off TV for a little while so perhaps he won’t be able to move up further for a little while. Like Ospreay, we wish Kenny all the best best in his health.

9. Powerhouse hobbs

An image featuring Powerhouse Hobbs, showcasing his intense expression against a colorful background with the AEW logo prominently displayed.

Champion?: YES – 5
Wins: 20 = 20
Losses: 5 = -5
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 2 = 2
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 80 = 8
TOTAL: 36

Hobbs is up one position this month with 2 wins and 0 losses. Another month of dominance for the Trios Champion. Now with Hook back, there looks to be tension within the Opps. Is Hook still a member? Can Hook understand and forgive Joe from bring Hobbs in? Can’t wait to find out.

8. Samoa Joe

Image of Samoa Joe, a professional wrestler, standing confidently with a focused expression. He is wearing a towel around his neck, with bold text below displaying his name 'SAMOA JOE'. The background features vibrant colors and the AEW logo.

Champion?: YES = 5
Wins: 17 = 17
Losses: 2 = -2
PPVWins: 2 = 6
PPVApps: 2 = 2
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 90 = 9
TOTAL: 37

Samoa Joe climbs even further up the rankings with 2 more wins and 0 losses in August. Lots of title defences and it makes me wonder, who could possible take the trios title off the dominate team we call The Opps.

7. Bobby Lashley

Graphic of Bobby Lashley with arms crossed, showcasing his muscular physique, with 'BOBBY LASHLEY' displayed prominently below his image against a colorful background.

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 13 = 13
Losses: 1 = -1
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 5 = 5
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 92.8 = 9.2
TOTAL: 38.2

Lashley only competed in 1 match during August and unfortunately for him, and Benjamin, it was a loss. A loss of their AEW World Tag Team Championship. But this could be a silver lining. More matches ahead, singles gold perhaps for either man. Lashley is undefeated in singles matches so he will be a tough test for any of AEWs champions.

5. Will Ospreay

A wrestling scene featuring Will Ospreay delivering a move to an opponent in the ring, with a referee visible in the background.

Champion?: NO = 0
Wins: 18 = 18
Losses: 4 = -4
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 5 = 5
Tourn.Ws: 2 = 4
Win %: 81.8 = 8.1
TOTAL: 43.1

Ospreay only competed once this month and it was a PPV Win so big points added before he leaves for who knows how long. I don’t think we will see him compete again this year but what a year. We all wish him a speedy recovery.

5. KYLE FLETCHER

Image of Kyle Fletcher from AEW, showcasing his muscular physique with tattoos, smiling at the camera. The graphic includes the AEW logo and his name prominently displayed.

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 20 = 20
Losses: 9 = -9
PPVWins: 3 = 9
PPVApps: 5 =5
Tourn.Ws: 1 = 2
Win %: 68.9 = 6.8
TOTAL: 43.8

Fletcher loves wrestling, competing in 5 matches this month. His rises since moving to a singles competitor has been incredible to witness. I see a lone reign of the TNT Championship for Kyle but right now his focus is on becoming double champion and defeating Hangman at All Out. Hangman won their last bout will it be Kyle victorious this time?

4. kazuchika okada

Kazuchika Okada posing confidently in a gold and white outfit against a colorful AEW backdrop.

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 15 = 15
Losses: 0 = 0
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 100 = 10
TOTAL: 50

Okada remains undefeated for the… 9 month of the year. He hasn’t seen defeat since the continental classic in 2024. It’s very possible that we’ll have to wait until the 2025 Continental Classic to see Okada’s next defeat. regardless, he may be the strongest booked man in all of wrestling right now.

3. ‘timeless’ toni storm

Toni Storm, a wrestler from AEW, appears with smudged makeup and a serious expression on her face.

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 19 = 19
Losses: 5 = -5
PPVWins: 5 = 15
PPVApps: 5 = 5
Tourn.Ws: 0 = 0
Win %: 79.1 = 79.1
TOTAL: 51.9

Toni went 2-1 this month, but mostly importantly beat the forever champion Athena. Athena’s first singles loss since the Owen Hart tournament. Who on earth will be able to defeat this timeless icon? I’m not sure we’ve met her yet.

2. mercedes mone

A smiling woman with colorful hair, holding a championship belt, and wearing a fashionable outfit. She is displayed prominently with a background featuring the AEW logo and some decorative elements.

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 14 = 14
Losses: 4 = -4
PPVWins: 5 = 15
PPVApps: 6 = 6
Tourn.Ws: 3 = 6
Win %: 77.7 = 7.7
TOTAL: 54.7

Mercedes Mone falls to our No.2 spot after 2 wins and 1 loss this month. Just not enough to outlast Hangman. Still holding onto her TBS Championship but is her time with the belt running out? Riho is back in AEW to challenge for the belt, will Mercedes be able to hold onto her belt until next months rankings?

1. ‘hangman’ adam page

AEW Men's World Champion 'Hangman' Adam Page poses confidently with the championship belt, showcasing his title while standing against a vibrant AEW backdrop.

Champion?: YES = 10
Wins: 17 = 17
Losses: 2 = -2
PPVWins: 4 = 12
PPVApps: 4 = 4
Tourn.Ws: 3 = 6
Win %: 89.4 = 8.9
TOTAL: 55.9

Hangman has made it to the top of our list, overtaking Mercedes, something I wasn’t sure would happen. Another busy month for Hanger having to deal with MJF as his antics but coming out on top in the end. With Callis family’s Kyle Fletcher coming after his title at All Out, will Hangman still be at the top next month or not?

This concludes our list for September. We will track everyone’s results and bring together a new Elite 15 some time soon. Keep an eye out!
