Biography
Born on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, Luke Eatwell began training at just 14 years old under the NWA-UK Hammerlock banner, developing a technical style rooted in catch wrestling that would eventually make him one of the most unique and respected wrestlers on the planet. Competing on the British independent circuit throughout the 2000s as Zack Sabre Jr. — a name with no actual "senior" behind it, simply adopted as a gimmick — he quietly became one of the most technically gifted wrestlers in Europe. His reputation built steadily through stints in Progress Wrestling, PWG, Evolve and Pro Wrestling Noah, where Japanese influences began shaping his style into something truly singular — part catch wrestling, part puroresu, entirely unorthodox. NJPW came calling in 2017, and ZSJ slotted in as one of the most compelling figures on the roster, winning the New Japan Cup twice, the G1 Climax in 2024, and becoming a two-time IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. Wrestling Observer Newsletter readers voted Sabre the Best Technical Wrestler of the year for seven consecutive years from 2014 to 2020, and he was voted Best Technical Wrestler of the Decade for the 2010s. Wikipedia There is no one quite like him — a walking submission machine who can dismantle opponents with holds that look physically impossible and win matches with pinning combinations most wrestlers have never even seen. The Technical Wizard is, simply put, a one-of-a-kind talent.
