This week’s TNA Impact was held at the UPMC Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

TNA X-Division Champion Moose def. Sami Callihan (non-title match)

Callihan connected with a Stunner early on but it wasn’t long before Moose made a comeback. One Spear later and it was a win for Moose.

Order 4 (Jason Hotch, John Skyler and Mustafa Ali) vs. The System (Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards and JDC) ended in a no contest

NXT’s DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin) attacked The System as a measure of revenge for them spoiling DarkState’s match with Mike Santana, Joe Hendry and TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams on this week’s NXT, thus the match never got started.

Tessa Blanchard def. Dani Luna

Early on in the match, Luna powered out of a submission and hit Blanchard with a vertical suplex. A Magnum was attempted but Luna reversed it into a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Victoria Crawford appeared at ringside to get involved, allowing Blanchard to connect with a Magnum for the win.

We were due to hear from NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne ahead of her Winner Takes All match against TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich at Slammiversary but instead we were greeted by TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance. Ash complained about being made to give an apology and pay a fine following an altercation with The Inspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay) at a recent meet and greet. She also stated that she should be challenging for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at the PPV as she won that Battle Royal. Jayne finally appeared with Fatal Influence to state that they are the dominant faction in women’s wrestling not The Elegance Brand. That’s when TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich arrived to declare she would walk out of Slammiversary as NXT Women’s Champion.

The Home Town Man def. Judas Icarus

Travis Williams joined Eric Young at ringside and tried to claw the mask of The Home Town Man’s face. The Home Town Man retaliated by diving through the ropes to take out Williams before getting back in the ring to beat Icarus with Sliced Bread.

Squish’s rating: 3/10

Matt Cardona vs. Jake Painter ended in a no contest

Cardona challenged NXT’s DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin) to meet him in the ring before the match and out they came to beat him down before The System (Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards and JDC) made the save.

The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) arrived to deliver a final message before they compete in a Ladder match at Slammiversary for the TNA World Tag Team Championship against champions The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth), The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz), and First Class (AJ Francis and KC Navarro). The Hardys admitted they haven’t gotten the job done on a number of occasions in recent times and contemplated retiring should they fail to recapture the titles at the PPV. Leon Slater arrived to try and encourage them out of their slump before they were confronted by First Class. The Nemeths came out to join this promo battle too as the champions. Once The Rascalz came down, things turned into a full-on brawl. It was The Hardys who stood tall after clearing the ring with a ladder.

Joe Hendry and Mike Santana def. Frankie Kazarian and TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams

Williams and Kazarian took advantage early on as they isolated and beat down Santana. Santana eventually created an opening with a springboard that took out both Williams and Kazarian. The pace started to quicken once Santana tagged Hendry in. Hendry’s flurry of offence led to him hitting Williams with a Fallaway Slam. Santana tagged back in at the end and beat Kazarian with Spin the Block.
