TNA Impact July 10th Results - ALL YOUR WRESTLING

This week’s TNA Impact was held at the UPMC Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Side note – apologies for the delay in getting this up on the website. I attended Comic Con Midlands at the NEC in Birmingham, England on Saturday and then had to catch up with AEW All In, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 40, WWE NXT The Great American Bash and WWE Evolution.

TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion The Elegance Brand (Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance) def. Harley Hudson and Myla Grace (non-title match)

The Elegance Brand took control early, isolating and wearing down Hudson. Hudson managed to create an opening and quickly tag in Grace. The pace sped up as Grace and Hudson took advantage with tandem offence. Ash caught Grace with Rarified Air and M by Elegance prevented Hudson from saving the match from ringside. Thus, Ash scored the victory.

Cedric Alexander, Jason Hotch and John Skyler def. Mustafa Ali’s Secret Service (AJZ, Steve Gibki and Tony Vincita)

Hotch got isolated and beat down by The Secret Service early on. However, Hotch managed to create an opening and tagged in Alexander. Alexander led all three men in taking the fight to Ali’s Secret Service. The Lumbar Check by Alexander bagged them the win.

Lei Ying Lee and TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich def. NXT’s Fallon Henley and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne

This is a preview of what we now know is the TNA Knockouts World Championship and NXT Women’s Championship Winner Takes All match at Slammiversary. Jayne hit Lee with a knee from the apron, handing control to the NXT girls. Lee managed to create an opening with a crossbody out the corner followed by a tag to Slamovich. Jayne stopped her with a pump kick and a running knee strike. A little later, Lee took out Jayne at ringside. Meanwhile, Slamovich picked up the win with the Snow Plow to Henley.

Steve Maclin (c) def. Jake Something and Mance Warner to retain the TNA International Championship

Something and Warner began brawling before Maclin even made it to the ring. Maclin came down and got the match officially started. Warner brought a chair into the match and struck both his opponents with it. Something powerbombed Warner through two chairs by Steph De Lander placed Warner’s foot on the bottom rope to keep the match alive. Caught in the Crosshairs took down Warner but this time Something kept the match alive. Then, a major Tower of Doom took out all three men. Warner came back to hit Something with a DDT into the steel stairs. However, a KIA from Maclin to Warner got him the win to retain the title.

Indi Hartwell def. Victoria Crawford

A tune up for Hartwell before her match with Tessa Blanchard at Slammiversary. Crawford distracted the referee and Blanchard attacked Hartwell from ringside. However, Hartwell fought back to take control and beat Crawford with a big boot.

Tom Hannifan conducted an exclusive interview with Joe Hendry ahead of his TNA World Championship match at Slammiversary against Mike Santana and NXT’s Trick Williams.

First Class (AJ Francis and KC Navarro) and TNA World Tag Team Champions The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth) def. The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) and The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz)

TNA World Champion NXT’s Trick Williams joined commentary to show support for his First Class allies. Wentz spent several minutes on the wrong end of a beatdown before hitting Nic with a handspring back elbow and making the tag to Matt. Matt delivered Side Effects to Nic, Ryan and Francis. The match began to descend into chaos with Wentz flying over the top to take out the pack. Williams abandoned commentary, striking Matt with the World Title belt. Francis followed up with the TFL to Matt for the victory.
