TNA Impact July 3rd Results
This week’s TNA Impact was held at the UPMC Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Inspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay) def. Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford
Indi Hartwell joined commentary for this match. Blanchard and Crawford isolated Lee in the early stages of the match. TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Elegance Brand (Ash by Elegance and Heather by Elegance) were shown watching the action from backstage. Lee managed to create an opening to tag in McKay. McKay’s offence sped up the pace. Blanchard got distracted, confronting Hartwell at ringside. That allowed The Inspiration to beat Crawford with the Idoliser.

Jason Hotch, John Skyler and Tasha Steelz were standing by as Cedric Alexander came out to tell Mustafa Ali that he wasn’t there to fight but to help. Ali turned down Alexander, still jealous about losing to him in the vacant WWE Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Final at WrestleMania 34. Ali challenged Alexander to a match at Slammiversary, which Alexander accepted. Ali tried to cheap shot Alexander but the latter countered. Ali’s security went after Alexander but he was saved by The Great Hands (Hotch and Skyler), allowing him to take out the last security member with the Lumbar Check.

Chain match: Masha Slamovich (c) def. Killer Kelly to retain the TNA Knockouts World Championship
Kelly wrapped the chain around Slamovich’s throat early on. However, Slamovich would soon comeback with a series of clotheslines, utilising the chain. Slamovich sent Kelly crashing face first into the ring post. Kelly returned the favour, countering an Irish whip and sending Slamovich straight into the steel steps. They fought up the entrance ramp and Kelly hit a suplex at the entrance. Back in the ring, Kelly countered Requiem but couldn’t avoid the Snow Plow, leading to a near fall for Slamovich. Failing to win with that, Slamovich used the chain to choke Kelly into submission.

Matt Cardona def. Eddie Edwards
Early on, Cardona hit the Reboot in the corner but Alisha Edwards interfered to stop him from capitalising. Eddie took over and hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Alisha handed Eddie his System ring but Brian Myers tried to talk him out of using it. Cardona was able to use this, pinning Eddie with a bridge.

Jake Something vs. Mance Warner ended in a no contest
TNA International Champion Steve Maclin joined commentary as Steph De Lander slowed Something from ringside to let Warner take advantage. Warner went for a knee strike but Something stopped him with a forearm blast. At ringside, Something continued to attack Warner but accidentally hit Maclin. This led to Maclin fighting back against both men, ending the match with no clear winner.

TNA World Tag Team Champion Nic Nemeth def. Zachary Wentz
Trey Miguel was announced as injured so Wentz came to fight Nic with Myron Reed in his corner. Wentz dived out to ringside but Ryan Nemeth stepped in the way to protect his brother. Back in the ring, Nic hit a leaping elbow drop to get a near fall. Wentz took Nic off the top-rope with a Superplex. Wentz hit a handspring knee to get his own near fall. Wentz took out Ryan at ringside but his focus wasn’t on Nic, who hit Danger Zone to win.

The first-ever King’s Speech saw Frankie Kazarian welcome the three men in the TNA World Championship match at Slammiversary: Joe Hendry, Mike Santana and NXT’s Trick Williams. Kazarian took Williams’ side as all four men delivered their own insults. Kazarian helped by providing a distraction to allow Williams to attack Hendry and Santana from behind. Williams and Kazarian stood tall to end the show.
