Biography
Killer Kross is the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion and, after two spells in WWE as Karrion Kross, one of the most talked-about free agents of the past year. Imposing, intense and never short of something to say, the Las Vegas-billed bruiser has turned his 2025 WWE exit into a second act on his own terms, working primarily for Major League Wrestling while picking up bookings on the independents.
Kevin Kesar debuted as Kevin Kross in September 2014 for Future Stars of Wrestling and spent the next few years building a reputation across several promotions. He joined AAA in 2017, later running with the MAD group and Rush's La Facción Ingobernable, and appeared on Lucha Underground's final season as the sinister White Rabbit. As Killer Kross he made a memorable Impact Wrestling debut in 2018, posing as a police officer before choking out Petey Williams, and served as Austin Aries' 'insurance policy' before feuds with Johnny Impact and Eddie Edwards. A 2019 FSW bout with Jon Moxley impressed Moxley enough that he passed Kross's details on to Triple H.
WWE signed him in early 2020, and as Karrion Kross, with Scarlett by his side, he tore through NXT. He beat Keith Lee for the NXT Championship at TakeOver XXX in August 2020, only to vacate it days later with a separated shoulder. He won it back from Finn Bálor at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver in April 2021 and held it until Samoa Joe ended his unbeaten NXT run that August. His main-roster debut on Raw was a quick loss to Jeff Hardy, the character was heavily reworked, and WWE released him that November.
He returned in August 2022 with longer hair and a darker presentation, ambushing Drew McIntyre on SmackDown and beating him in a strap match at Extreme Rules. In 2024 he led The Final Testament alongside Scarlett, the Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering, feuding with Bobby Lashley's Pride and The New Day. Once that group disbanded he reinvented himself as 'The Devil's Advocate', and a scathing promo after WrestleMania 41 earned him a wave of support. Fans cheered him against Sami Zayn at Night of Champions and SummerSlam, but his contract expired on 10 August 2025 and he and Scarlett left the company.
Back under the Killer Kross name, he appeared for GCW and DEFY, winning DEFY's Super Heavyweight Cup, then returned to MLW in November 2025 with a win over Matt Riddle. At Battle Riot VIII on 29 January 2026 he outlasted 39 others to claim the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, and through 2026 he has defended it against the likes of Satoshi Kojima, Donovan Dijak and Josh Bishop. His defence against Místico at Slaughterhouse in Atlanta on 3 October ended without a winner, so he remains champion heading into the final months of 2026.
