AJ
STYLES

Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina and raised in Gainesville, Georgia, Allen Jones began wrestling in 1998 on the southeastern independent circuit as Mr. Olympia before developing the AJ Styles persona that would go on to define a generation. A short-lived WCW tryout and contract came and went, but it was in NWA-TNA from 2002 that he truly found his stage — becoming the first ever TNA X Division Champion, completing the first TNA Triple Crown, and being dubbed “Mr. TNA” for years as the face and soul of the promotion during its most competitive years. His work alongside Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe produced some of the finest three-way storytelling in wrestling history, and his time in Ring of Honor and later New Japan from 2014 only added to a legendary résumé. In NJPW he joined and eventually led the Bullet Club, winning the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and helping introduce a new generation of fans to his work. When WWE finally signed him in January 2016 — nearly two decades into his career — he debuted at the Royal Rumble and immediately proved he belonged at the very top. He went on to win two WWE Championships, including a legendary 371-day reign, and achieved Grand Slam Champion status. WWE Now retired from in-ring competition and serving as a WWE Ambassador and talent scout, AJ Styles leaves behind one of the most complete and decorated careers in wrestling history.
