TNA Impact June 5th Results

This week’s TNA Impact was held at the CAA Centre in Brampton, Canada.

Indi Hartwell def. Tasha Steelz

Steelz took advantage early on. However, a Spinebuster by Hartwell swung things her way temporarily but not for long. Jason Hotch was ordered to attack Hartwell from ringside but he didn’t. That was all Hartwell needed to hit the Hurts Donut for the win.

Moose (c) def. Eric Young to retain the TNA X-Division Championship

Young caught Moose up in the corner early on while singing to celebrate his home country of Canada with the fans. Soon after, Moose took control with a Go to Hell. He followed up with a Uranage on the apron and then threw Young into the steel steps. In the ring, Moose hit a step-up Crossbody only for Young to retaliate with a Death Valley Driver. Young nearly won with a Piledriver but JDC put Moose’s leg on the ropes to stop the pinfall. Judas Icarus and Travis Williams took care of JDC to even the odds but the distraction let Moose hit a low blow on Young. One spear later and Moose got the win.

Joe Hendry spoke for the first time since losing the TNA World Championship to NXT’s Trick Williams at NXT Battleground. Hendry apologised for letting the TNA fans down by losing the title to someone who doesn’t care for its lineage. Frankie Kazarian didn’t want to listen though as he was angry at Hendry’s loss and promised to humiliate him at Against All Odds.

M by Elegance and TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Heather by Elegance def. Harley Hudson and Myla Grace

Heather slowed Hudson down from ringside, which let M take control. Once in the ring, Heather took down Hudson with a double foot stomp from the top-rope. Hudson later took care of M long enough to be able to make the tag to Grace. Grace went on offence and the pace quickened. However, a distraction by The Personal Concierge allowed Heather to hit Grace with a Spanish Fly. A Moonsault by M finally got the Elegance brand the win.

Monster’s Ball match: Xia Brookside def. Rosemary

Early on, Brookside broke a hockey stick over Rosemary’s back. Brookside hit Broken Wings at ringside and shoved a trash can into Rosemary’s face. Moments later, Rosemary put Brookside in the Upside Down while choking her with a belt for extra damage. Rosemary put staples into Brookside’s midsection but Brookside retaliated with a Samoan Drop onto a pile of hockey pucks. Rosemary hit a spear on Brookside through a door but still couldn’t win. Brookside came back and blocked the green mist with a trash can lid. Brookside hit a Brooksie Bomb through multiple steel chairs to pick up the win.

A quick segment where Elijah promised to beat NXT’s Trick Williams at Against All Odds to win the TNA World Championship.

Matt Hardy, Leon Slater and Mike Santana def. Frankie Kazarian and TNA World Tag Team Champions The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth)

Early on, Slater hit Ryan with Poetry in Motion. Matt ran the ropes but Nic caught him from the apron. Matt got trapped in his opponents’ corner as they used quick tags to keep him down. He eventually fought out of a Sleeper and made the tag to Slater. Slater upped the pace by taking out The Nemeths with a handspring back elbow and a slingshot crossbody to ringside. Kazarian sent Slater shoulder first into a ring post. Santana then went on the attack with the frustration from losing his TNA World Title match on NXT thanks to First Class’ AJ Francis and KC Navarro. Santana hit The Nemeths with a double Rolling Buck 50. Matt went for a Twist of Fate but Kazarian reversed it into a Backstabber. However, Slater reversed a cutter from Kazarian into the Twist of Slate. Finally, Santana hit Spin the Block on Ryan to win.
