-We get a brief video package recapping the violent assault by Walter on Brian Pillman Jr.
-Pyro goes off and we are welcomed to the fifth episode of World Class Championship Wrestling by our commentary team, Ian Riccaboni & Nigel McGuinness. They inform us that Brian Pillman Jr is currently still in medical care, sustaining serious and career threatening injuries at the hands of Walter. They wish him all the best.
Sting promo – Samantha Irvin introduces the legend, Sting! Sting is happy to be in Nebraska, the state where he was born, it will always have a place in his heart. He shouts out Brian Pillman Jr and he hopes that he recovers quickly. Out comes Walter. He does not feel very appreciated, no one has congratulated him on his victory last week. He praises Sting for the lengthy career he had, but he has no place standing in his ring. Walter asks him to leave. Sting says that Nebraska is home to him and Walter can not make those demands to him. Walter warns him that he doesn’t want to put Sting in a hospital bed too, but he won’t hesitate. Sting throws punches and gets Walter in the corner, he goes for the Stinger Splash, but Walter catches him and powerbombs him. He tells Sting to get up, Sting is struggling to his feet. Walter goes for a second powerbomb but in runs Bryan Danielson comes in with a running knee strike. Walter rolls out, he is livid. Danielson helps up Sting and shouts at Walter for his actions.
Chad Gable vs Ilja Dragunov, NWA World Title Tournament Round 1 – Gable and Dragunov are testing the waters early with a series of exchanges and counters. Dragunov hits a huge diving dropkick but he tweaks his ankle coming down, which Gable stays laser focused on throughout the match. Gable wears down the ankle of Ilja, he keeps gunning for the Ankle Lock but Dragunov is able to escape each time. Dragunov manages a comeback, he even hits the Torpedo Moscow but Gable rolls out of the ring. Dragunov rolls him back in, but Gable catches him in the ankle lock. Ilja struggles and struggles but he finally manages to make it to the ropes. Gable hits the O’Connor Roll German suplex for a close near fall. Gable pulls down the straps and he goes for the Olympic Slam, but Dragunov reverses and nails another Torpedo Moscow for another near fall. There is less than 10 minutes left of the match. Gable and Dragunov pull out all of the stops, Dragunov goes for a super H Bomber but Gable counters into the ankle lock one last time. Dragunov has nowhere to go, but there is only 1 minute left of the match. He fights and he screams as Gable tries to finish it. 3…2…1…the bell rings. After 30 long minutes of action, it has ended in a time limit draw. Unfortunately, both men were eliminated from the tournament. This means Walter has a free pass straight to the semi-finals.
-Charly Caruso is with The Vendetta backstage who don’t have nice things to say about Thunder Rosa, they think that she is going to be bottom of the rankings. Rosa confronts them and challenges either of them to step into the ring with her next week.
-I, the President of the NWA, makes a rare appearance in a pre-recorded segment. I hype up the first NWA show outside of North America in 2 weeks time for a special episode of WCCW. On the 22nd of January it is my birthday, so we will be having a show in my hometown of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England and it will be a stacked card. There will be two quarter-final matches in the NWA title tournament, with CM Punk vs Bron Steiner the scheduled main event.
Jordynne Grace & Kamille vs Chelsea Green & Piper Niven – Niven starts off against Grace. It is a powerhouse contest with Niven initially comes out on top, but Grace is able to pick her up and slam her. Niven offers a tag to Green, but she is hesitant. Kamille comes in now and it is another battle of power, this time Kamille gets the upper hand. Green grabs at Kamille’s hair, allowing Niven to get control. Niven and Green work over Kamille for a little while, but Kamille is able to get a hot tag to Grace who runs wild. She takes out Niven and she drops Green with the Juggernaut Driver to win after 9 minutes.
Interview with Grace & Kamille – Samantha Irvin asks about the friendship between these two women. Grace says she respects Kamille a lot and hopes that they both have a lot of success in the NWA. Before Kamille can speak she is interrupted by the music and lavish entrance of Mercedes Mone. Mercedes calls Grace and Kamille a pair of fake bitches, she knows one of them will betray the other to become the world champion. People may not like her, but Mercedes is authentic and she puts herself first. Grace says no amount of money and makeup can hide how ugly Mone is inside. Mercedes says she will be the number 1 ranked woman in the company and no one can stop her. Out comes Athena flanked by Billie Starkz. She says money will only get Mone so far. Eventually, it will be Mone vs Athena. “You may be a boss, but I am a goddess” Mercedes tries to slap Athena, Athena ducks and kicks her towards Grace. Grace lifts Mone up for a press slam, but Mone manages to escape up the ramp.
-A pre-recorded message from Eddie Kingston. He sends out his best to Brian Pillman Jr, watching his match with Walter made his own situation feel a little less serious. Whilst Pillman may be gone for a little while, Kingston promises he will not be. He warns Ricky Starks to always look over his shoulder, because he won’t be far behind.
Oba Femi w/Dominik Mysterio vs Tyler Breeze – It is clear that Oba Femi does not want Dom around him. Femi overpowers Breeze easily and throws him around, he is absolutely dominant. Tyler gets a few licks in but it does no damage. Mysterio is hyping Femi up on the outside. Breeze finds an opening and starts wearing Femi down. Mysterio tries to be of use. He unties the turnbuckle pad which distracts the referee momentarily. Dom slides in with a chair and swings, but Breeze kicks it away. As the chair hits the ground, Breeze drops to the floor and sells a chair shot. The referee turns around, sees Dom and a chair in the ring and he calls for the bell. Oba Femi is disqualified, Breeze wins a short 5 minute match. Femi is livid, he delivers a double chokeslam to both Breeze and Mysterio before leaving.
-Using archived footage, we take a look at the history between Zack Sabre Jr and Jeff Cobb, especially their battles over the NJPW Television championship.
CM Punk promo – Punk wishes well to Pillman, he calls Walter a heartless monster bullying a relative newcomer to wrestling. He envisions they will cross paths in this tournament and Punk will deliver him justice. Punk is interrupted by Taz alongside Bron Steiner. Taz says Punk is losing his memory, because there is no way that after his match with Bron in week 1 can he get the job done in a rematch. It won’t even be close. Punk says he will prove that he can take Steiner right here right now. Steiner charges the ring and the two rivals get into a brawl. Security is sent in to separate them from each other. Bron keeps shouting “you’re dead!” at Punk.
The Acclaimed vs Grizzled Young Veterans – Of course the Acclaimed have another rap prepared for the GYVs and it goes a little like this; “Listen up punks my name’s Max Caster, I’m more lethal than the Hillsborough Disaster. Nebraska sucks – I couldn’t relate, I’m superior to you just like Penn State. The Acclaimed’s ring has a pair of dicks in, their teeth more crooked than Richard Nixon. Drake your rizz is dryer than a Sandshrew, Gibson you’re royally like Prince Andrew.” This was quite an even contest throughout the match, neither team holding the advantage for too long before the other team came in and swung momentum back their way. Gibson tries to use the ropes for a leverage pin but the referee spots it. Gibson argues with the referee, allowing The Acclaimed to take advantage. They hit the Acclaim to Fame to win the match after 10 minutes. They earn themselves 2 points in the World Tag League.
-War Machine said they were motivated last week to get themselves into a good position for the World Tag League. They love a brutal battle and they are excited to go to war with the Authors of Pain. Lady Rowe warns Paul Ellering to stay out of their way, or she will introduce herself to him in an unfavourable manner.
-Commentary hype to next show; Zack Sabre Jr vs Jeff Cobb, AOP vs War Machine, A Drive-Thru interview with Ricky Starks and the reveal of the Women’s rankings.
Christian Cage vs LA Knight, NWA World Title Tournament Round 1 – MJF comes out to do commentary for this match. He talks trash about both of them throughout. Christian Cage attacks LA Knight during his entrance and tries to get the win quickly. Knight is on the back foot for the first half of this match, trying to fight back from the disadvantage he started with. Eventually, Knight manages to fight back into the match, springing up onto the top rope for his signature suplex. Christian gets a near fall with a spear. He goes for the Killswitch but Knight counters it with a BFT out of nowhere for the win. LA Knight is victorious after 14 minutes, progressing to the quarter finals.
-Whilst Knight celebrates, Christian comes around from the BFT and argues with the referee, not remembering losing. Commentary recap the quarter-final bracket; Walter gets a bye, ZSJ faces Jeff Cobb, Punk faces Steiner & MJF faces LA Knight.
-Before we go off the air, Bryan Danielson backstage grabs a camera and a microphone. He is disgusted by the actions of Walter towards Sting and towards Pillman. Danielson knows he is at the end of his full time career, but he still has some fight left. He announces that at the first NWA Power SuperCard, he will be facing Walter and he will kick his fucking head in.
