NWA Episode 11 – Built To Destroy Go Home Show
Airing live on Amazon Prime, 19th February 2025 – NWA Presents: World Class Championship Wrestling @ Toyota Arena, Ontario, CA
Pyro goes off and we are welcomed to the tenth episode of World Class Championship Wrestling by our commentary team, Ian Riccaboni & Nigel McGuinness. This is the go-home show for the first NWA PPV of the new era, Built To Destroy.
We will have the final card finalised here tonight, with the show headlined by the contract signings for our marquee matches. We kick things off with a deciding match in the Tag League.
FTR vs War Machine w/Lady Rowe
Whichever team wins here will be the number 1 contender for the NWA Tag Team Championships. There will either be a 2-way or a 3-way tie depending on the result.
These are the two most experienced teams in the NWA, so you can expect a showcase of tag team excellence. War Machine tries to hit Thor’s Hammer but Cash Wheeler counters it into a tornado DDT. War Machine counters the spike piledriver and they hit Harwood with FTR’s own Shatter Machine!
It only gets a 2 count. FTR manage to hit Rowe with their own Shatter Machine and get the win after 16 minutes. FTR finish the Tag League with 7 points and they are the number 1 contenders for the championships. The AOP, Grizzled Young Veterans and War Machine all have 6 points each.
Paul Ellering and the AOP are speaking to Teddy Long backstage, making a claim that they deserve to challenge FTR for the championships because FTR cheated to defeat them. In come Grizzled Young Veterans who argue that they are more deserving.
They have defeated both AOP and FTR, they can easily do it again. Both teams get in each others faces, Teddy Long tells them both to calm down. They both deserve the opportunity, but so does War Machine.
At Built To Destroy, the 3 teams will face off in the opening match and the winner will face FTR later in the show for the championships.
Brian Pillman Jr update
The commentary team speaks to Brian Pillman Jr, who is broadcasting live from his home. Ian Riccaboni says that it is great to see that Pillman has left for the hospital and is in the comfort of his home. He asks Pillman how his recovery is going.
Pillman just says “fine”. Pillman appears very distant and disengaged. Riccaboni asks about the injuries Pillman obtained and how long he is expected to be out for. Pillman stays quiet, he isn’t even looking at the camera it appears he is watching television.
Nigel McGuiness says he doesn’t mean any disrespect, but it seems that Pillman isn’t in a place to conduct an interview right now, but he was the one who requested this interview. Why is he on the air if he doesn’t want to talk?
Pillman goes from 0 to 100 and he snaps at McGuiness “I didn’t request this interview and I can do whatever the FUCK I want!” Pillman appears to grab his phone that he is filming himself on and he throws it at the wall.
The feed disconnects. Ian Riccaboni apologises for anyone offended by the language of Brian Pillman Jr. He details that he has suffered brain trauma due to his match with Walter and is not expected to appear any time soon.
McGuiness says it is clear that the injuries sustained are having an impact on Pillman’s emotional and mental state, he hopes the youngster can get himself back to fighting fitness.
Mercedes Mone is arriving at the arena ahead of the contract signing tonight. She is approached by Tiffany Stratton who has prepared her CV for Mone.
Mercedes laughs because she didn’t expect her to actually do that. Mercedes drops it on the floor. She tells Tiffany to prove herself to be useful and she will consider offering her a spot beside her.
Creed Brothers vs The Acclaimed
This is the final match in the Tag League. Although neither team has a chance at the tag championships, there is pride on the line as the Creeds would very much like to at least get a victory.
The Acclaimed come out and of course, Max Caster has a rap prepared, but he is cut off by Anthony Bowens who tells Max that his raps have not brought them any benefit and asks if they can just go out there and try to win the match, Caster agrees, but he does not look very happy that he has been cut off from rapping.
Max Caster appears to only be applying half effort into the match and it allows the Creed Brothers to get their first win in the NWA. They hit the Doomsday Cannonball and win the match in 8 minutes.
Miro is in the Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria. He is meditating and training his body. During his meditation, Miro comes to a realization. He has served his time as a servant to the lord.
He is weak because he is still trying to serve, when he should be preparing to lead. He has risen beyond servitude. Miro is now the one who deserves worship. NWA needs a saviour.
Eddie Kingston promo
Kingston comes out and he is excited to get himself a rematch with Starks at the PPV. He calls him a pussy but Eddie accepts the conditions. He can defeat Ricky with one arm. He is interrupted by Starks, who is flanked by 5 security guards.
He says he has gotten himself security not for his own sake, but for Kingsto’s sake. These guards will prevent them from getting physical, because Starks knows what he can do to Eddie. Kingston calls bullshit and beckons Starks to come and fight him like a man.
Starks doesn’t want there to be any excuses when he defeats Kingston and breaks the rest of the bones in his body. Starks begins to go on a self praising promo but Kingston ain’t having it.
He leaves the ring and he starts attacking all of the security on his way to Starks. More security guards end up pouring out from the back and keep these two rivals separate from each other.
Chelsea Green again trash talks AJ Lee to Piper Niven as they walk backstage, downplaying her ability and significance. She is interrupted by Tegan Nox who sticks for AJ and says that she is more significant than Green will ever be.
Green slaps her and walks away. Tegan Nox finds Teddy Long and gets herself a match with Green on the next WCCW episode in 2 weeks time.
Jordynne Grace vs Deonna Purrazzo w/Taya Valkyrie
Deonna tries to run but Grace catches her and overpowers. Taya tries to get involved but Grace takes her out too. The distraction allows Deonna to take the advantage though. Purrazzo wears down Grace in preparation for her Fujiwara Armbar.
Grace tries to fight back into the match, but a Deonna distracts the referee and Taya clocks her in the back of the head with a big kick. Purrazzo hits Grace with the Cosa Nostra Piledriver and gets the win. The Vendetta double team Jordynne Grace, but out comes Hikaru Shida with revenge on her mind.
She takes out Deonna and Taya with her kendo stick. It is later confirmed that Grace and Shida will team up to face The Vendetta at Built To Destroy.
Oba Femi reminds Dominik Mysterio of the plan, ‘Powerhouse’ Will Hobbs walks past and sizes up Oba Femi. He tells him it doesn’t matter what plan he has, he is going to win. After he leaves, Femi says “we’re taking him out first.”
MJF, Dominik Mysterio, Oba Femi, Tyler Breeze, Will Hobbs & Matt Cardona in a 6-man Ladder match for final spot in Heritage Championship Scramble
This is an expected chaotic 20 minute ladder match will all men looking to secure their spot at Built To Destroy. I’m just going to run down some spots that happen throughout the match. Oba Femi wipes out all of his opponents except for Will Hobbs.
Femi and Hobbs have a back and forth slug fest, their fight tumbles out of the ring. Dominik Mysterio tries to run up the ladder and retrieve the contract but he is stopped by rival Tyler Breeze who drops him with a Supermodel Kick. MJF tries to avoid the action as much as possible and sneak up the ladder and steal the match when everyone seems incapacitated.
MJF is eventually caught by Hobbs who powerbombs him to the outside through a ladder. Matt Cardona hits Breeze with Radio Silence off the top of a ladder. Oba Femi sets up Matt Cardona on the announce table and he forces Dominik Mysterio to climb a ladder.
Dom hits a frog splash through Cardona, through the table. Oba Femi and Hobbs are duelling blows on top of a ladder. MJF has managed to recover from his big powerbomb and he pushes the ladder over, both big men hit hard into the ropes and tumble out of the ring. MJF climbs up the ladder and retrieves the contract. Winning the match.
A promo video package plays detailing the matches and rivalries going into Built To Destroy. The card is broken down by commentary; Grizzled Young Veterans vs AOP vs War Machine World Tag League Tiebreaker, Jordynne Grace & Hikaru Shida vs The Vendetta, CM Punk vs Bron Steiner, Zack Sabre Jr vs Ilja Dragunov vs LA Knight vs Christian Cage vs MJF for inaugural Heritage Championship, Eddie Kingston vs Ricky Starks, FTR vs TBD for vacant Tag Team Championships, Kamille vs Mercedes Mone for vacant Women’s Championship & Walter vs Chad Gable for vacant World Heavyweight Championship.
Contract signing Press Conference, Steiner vs Punk II
Samantha Irvin introduces Wade Barrett and Jazz who will be running the press conference. They introduce the participants for the 3 marquee matches being signed live here tonight. CM Punk, Chad Gable and Kamile sit on one side.
Bron Steiner w/Taz, Walter and Mercedes Mone sit on the other side. Barrett demands that the proceedings go down without physicality, he particularly looks at Punk and Steiner. Steiner is up first and he signs his contract for a rematch with Punk.
Whilst he does, Taz warns Punk that there is nothing he can do to stop Steiner from destroying him. Taz then turns to Gable and Walter. “No matter which one of you wins, you’re simply a placeholder until Steiner is ready to take that title from you.”
Punk steps up to sign the contract. He will once again prove why he is the best in the world and why Bron is forever going to be hiding in the shadow of his legendary uncle and his mediocre dad. Steiner lunges at Punk, both men are restrained by security and escorted out of the press conference.
Contract Signing Press Conference, Women’s Championship
Jazz places the newly designed NWA women’s championship on the podium as the women prepare to sign the contract. Kamille says nothing, she signs the contract and flexes her impressive figure to the cameras.
Mercedes Mone tells Kamille that it doesn’t matter if Kamille is superior to her in any way, because money talks and Mercedes guarantees that one way or another she will be walking out with the beautifully jewelled women’s championship.
We have a surprising appearance by Athena and Billie Starkz. Athena says it would be a disgrace if Mercedes Mone is the face of the women’s division. She promises Kamille that she and Starkz will be at ringside for support, they will not let The Vendetta prevent Kamille from winning the title.
In return, she wants first dibs at a championship opportunity. Kamille simply nods in agreement. The women pose face to face before taking their leave.
Contract Signing Press Conference, World Championship
Wade Barrett places the historic NWA World Heavyweight Championship on the podium. Chad Gable signs the contract. He tells Walter that next week, his dream comes true and he will finally fulfill his destiny to be world champion. Walter signs the contract.
He says unlike the others, he respects Gable. He promises to show mercy and defeat him quickly. He will try not to send Gable into a hospital bed like he did to Pillman and Danielson. Walter says unfortunately, no dreams are coming true.
“Next week, your dreams die and I will build the legacy of the Ring General on top of the ashes.” The show closes with a stare-down between the challengers for the World Championship. Who will walk out of Built To Destroy as champion? Find out next week!
