Segment: Knockouts Three-Way Promo
Elayna Black made her way to the Impact Zone with her eyes set on the Knockouts Championship, only to be interrupted by Ash by Elegance, who was then interrupted by Indi Hartwell. Ash and Black mocked Hartwell for being poor before going back to arguing with each other. Hartwell pointed out that neither of them could focus long enough to win an argument, let alone a title, before sending Ash crashing out of the ring. Black departed without incident, leaving all three women firmly in the picture for future title shots.
No Disqualification Match
Eric Young def. EC3
The match opened with Young attempting a sneak attack before the bell, but EC3 quickly turned the tide and took the fight to ringside. Weapons were used throughout — chairs, garbage cans — and Young kept going for low blows. Young introduced a steel chain, using it to choke and whip EC3. EC3 battled back with a TKO while the chain was still wrapped around Young’s neck, followed by a drop toe hold onto a chair and the One Percenter for a near fall. Young then delivered three consecutive low blows before driving EC3 through a table on the outside with a piledriver. Back in the ring, Young hit a second piledriver — this time onto a steel chair — for the victory.
A violent, weapons-heavy match that did its job in giving Young a decisive win. EC3’s babyface fire was there, but Young dominated when it counted.
Segment: Mike Santana Open Challenge / Daria Rae
TNA World Champion Mike Santana came to the ring ready to hand-pick his next challenger, but Director of Operations Daria Rae interrupted and shut him down. She announced that next week there would be a Battle Royal, with the winner earning a shot at Santana’s TNA World Championship. Santana accepted the situation, though tension between him and Daria Rae continues to simmer.
TNA World Tag Team Championship
The System (Brian Myers & Bear Bronson) (c) def. Nic Nemeth & KC Navarro (The System retain)
Myers and Bronson isolated Nemeth for the bulk of the match. Nemeth countered a Myers charge with a Famouser, and a hot tag brought Navarro in to hit a spinning DDT on Bronson. The finish came when Alisha Edwards tripped KC Navarro at ringside, allowing Bronson to hit a sit-out tombstone piledriver for the victory. A solid tag match that The System won through interference rather than clean dominance, keeping Nemeth and Navarro looking credible heading into next week’s Sac Town Street Fight.
Segment: AJ Francis / KC Navarro / Hardy Brothers
Backstage, AJ Francis issued a challenge to KC Navarro for a Sactown Street Fight, set for next week. Navarro made clear he didn’t need Nic Nemeth’s help to handle Francis. The Hardy Brothers — in Broken form — sent a warning to The Righteous, noting that they do not comprehend the gravity of the situation.
Moose & Leon Slater def. Eddie Edwards & Cedric Alexander (w/ Alisha Edwards)
The rest of The System were barred from ringside for this match. During the bout, commentary announced that next week’s TNA X-Division Championship match between Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander would be contested under Best Two-Out-of-Three Falls rules. The System isolated Slater before a hot tag brought Moose in running wild. The match broke down into a flurry of big spots before Moose charged for a spear — Edwards leapfrogged over the top for a sunset flip attempt, but Moose rolled through and secured the jackknife pin for the win.
An enjoyable TV match that built nicely toward next week’s X-Division title match.
TNA Knockouts World Championship
Lei Ying Lee def. Arianna Grace (c) via Springboard Blockbuster (New Champion — Lee is a 2x Knockouts World Champion)
Xia Brookside was banned from ringside for this one. Lee tripped up Grace and caught her with a running knee and an exploder suplex out of the corner. Grace regrouped with Stacks on the floor, and the action spilled around ringside with both women taking hard shots into the barricades. Stacks distracted Lee at a key moment, allowing Grace to take advantage, but Lee ultimately hit the Springboard Blockbuster for the pinfall to capture her second Knockouts Championship. After the match, Daria Rae presented Lee with the championship.
The right result. Grace’s reign was spent, and Lee winning the title back gives TNA’s babyface Knockouts picture a real focal point.
Closing Segment
As Impact went off the air, Moose was found laid out backstage with a steel chair wrapped around his neck. No attacker was identified, leaving a major mystery heading into next week.
Overall Show Rating: A well-structured episode headlined by a meaningful title change. The Lei Ying Lee victory was the clear highlight, and the Moose attack gives the show a strong cliffhanger. The No DQ opener was suitably brutal, and the tag title picture continues to move forward with next week’s Street Fight. A solid, easy watch.
