REVIEW

One month out from Slammiversary, TNA returned to AMC with a stacked episode from Sacramento built around the return of the Champions Challenge format. The hook: if an All-Star pinned a Champion, they’d earn a future title shot at the championship that Champion holds. Two such matches headlined the night, and both produced new number-one contenders.

Match 1 — Men’s Champions Challenge: Leon Slater, Eric Young, KC Navarro, Elijah & Frankie Kazarian def. Mike Santana, Mustafa Ali, Brian Myers, Cedric Alexander & Bear Bronson

Every men’s champion in TNA on one team — World Champion Mike Santana, International Champion Mustafa Ali, X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander, and World Tag Team Champions Bear Bronson and Brian Myers — against a five-man All-Star unit headlined by Eric Young and former X-Division Champion Leon Slater. The entrances alone reportedly ate up close to ten minutes. The match opened with Elijah and Myers, transitioning into a brief sportsmanship beat between Santana and Elijah before Eric Young punched Santana in the mouth to set the tone.

The finish came when KC Navarro pinned Mustafa Ali after Blessing in Disguise, earning himself a future shot at the TNA International Championship. A huge breakout moment for Navarro.

Big roster-wide ten-man with a clear winner and a meaningful pin. The format does some of the work but a stacked ten-man like this rarely misses.

Match 2 — Tessa Blanchard def. Harley Hudson via Buzzsaw

Blanchard continued her run of momentum, working Hudson’s left knee after Hudson briefly threatened with a shoulder block and big boot. After dragging her opponent under the ropes, dropkicking her to the floor, and driving the knee into the apron and ropes, Blanchard sealed it with the Buzzsaw.

A clean Blanchard showcase with sound limb-work psychology. Hudson got enough offense in to look credible.

Match 3 — Stacks def. Santino Marella via roll-up

The family angle paid off in the most “Stacks” way possible — Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo stole the win over his father-in-law Santino Marella with a roll-up. A short, comedy-tinged match with a heelish finish.

Story over substance. Santino’s role is character work at this point; the result and the angle matter more than the match itself.

Match 4 — Fabian Aichner def. Eddie Edwards via Disqualification

Aichner’s in-ring TNA debut, following his attack on The System a week earlier. Edwards was DQ’d, protecting Aichner in his first televised match while still keeping Edwards strong on the result sheet. The DQ finish suggests The System interfered to keep Aichner from getting a clean win on his debut, while setting up further conflict.

A debut designed to put Aichner over without giving him a clean pin yet. Edwards is a reliable opponent to have a strong first match against.

Match 5 (Main Event) — Knockouts Champions Challenge: Xia Brookside, Elayna Black & Mara Sadè def. Lei Ying Lee, M By Elegance & Heather By Elegance

A six-woman tag with Knockouts gold on the line via the same Champions Challenge stipulation. Lee took control with a kick that stopped early interference from Elayna Black, ran through some corner offense and a suplex into Warrior’s Way, but the pin was broken up. The Elegance Brand combined for a codebreaker–German suplex double team on Black, only for Sadè to come back with a double DDT to clear the ring — leading to PANDEMONIUM.

Mr. Elegance tried to interfere and was caught in an Ankle Lock by former UFC fighter Keith Jardine at ringside. The Personal Concierge ran in to strike Jardine and immediately fled. Inside, Lee set up for another Warrior’s Way but Brookside ducked, hit an elevated DDT (“Dark Side”), and pinned Lee for the win — securing her team a future TNA Knockouts World Championship opportunity.

Six-woman tag with stakes, multiple finisher exchanges, a celebrity ringside cameo, and a star-making finish for Brookside. A worthy main event.

Notes & Looking Ahead

  • KC Navarro earned a future shot at Mustafa Ali’s TNA International Championship.
  • Xia Brookside (and her trio) earned a future shot at the TNA Knockouts World Championship.
  • Fabian Aichner continues his trajectory toward a feud with The System after his DQ win over Eddie Edwards.
  • Stacks vs. Santino Marella family angle continues with Stacks taking the bragging rights.
  • Slammiversary 2026 is one month away (late June), and the Champions Challenge results have done meaningful work in setting that card.
