Opening Segment
NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo wasted no time seeking revenge on Tavion Heights, jumping him in the middle of the Performance Center in a heated pull-apart brawl. D’Angelo then demanded a match against Heights from General Manager Robert Stone, who granted the request.
Kali Armstrong def. Jaida Parker
The newcomer kept Parker off balance throughout the matchup, using underhanded tactics including an eye rake to gain an advantage. Parker was stunned and fell victim to the match-ending Kali Connection.
Backstage / Segment
Birthright complained backstage about the return and debut of Sean Legacy and Tate Wilder the previous week. Fit Finlay appeared alongside William Regal on the phone, who announced that Charlie Dempsey had been sent back to the Snake Pit to train, and that BirthRight would compete in a six-man tag team match next week.
Vignette: Naraku
A vignette confirmed that EVIL’s new ring name is Naraku. In it, he declared his intention to pursue the NXT Championship, calling his gift to Tony D’Angelo not a present but a proclamation, and announced he would debut next week.
Jackson Drake (w/ The Vanity Project) def. Jasper Troy
Drake used leg kicks to keep Troy at bay, connecting with a Meteora with help from distraction by The Vanity Project. Troy mounted a comeback and went after Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor at ringside, but Myka Lockwood appeared and bodyslammed Troy, allowing Drake to hit a 450 Splash for the win. Lockwood then aligned herself with the NXT Tag Team Champions in a notable post-match development.
Promo: Tristan Angels
Tristan Angels cut a vignette declaring himself the winds of change in NXT, identifying himself as a seventh-generation sheep farmer who was destined for more. The 22-year-old claimed to have a sixth sense for winning, taking a shot at North American Champion Myles Borne, who he implied doesn’t even possess all five normal senses.
NXT Origins: Rhea Ripley
An NXT Origins video package chronicled Rhea Ripley’s journey, with Ripley reflecting on being very shy growing up and realising after a year in the US that presenting a fake version of herself was getting her nowhere.
Segment: Zaria
Zaria took to the microphone and declared that NXT feels different, saying there’s a change in the air and it could be anyone’s game. She stated that for the first time she is standing in the NXT women’s division with nothing holding her back.
Cutler James & Osiris Griffin (DarkState) def. Hank & Tank
Cutler James and Osiris Griffin represented DarkState in the match, though Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars argued on the outside. Once tensions were settled, James and Griffin put Hank & Tank away with a high-impact powerbomb.
Interview: Keanu Carver
New NXT correspondent Emily Agard caught up with Keanu Carver backstage. Carver said he’s motivated by money and is there to feed his family — not to do fancy tricks for social media. He noted that he told Shawn Michaels to give him a chance or cut him, and emphasised that he’s always going to be himself regardless of the situation.
Izzi Dame & Niko Vance (The Culling) def. Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana – Mixed Tag Team Non-Title Match
The men kicked things off, with Niko Vance overpowering Mr. Iguana early. Iguana used a sleeper and transitioned into a modified Rings of Saturn, but Vance powered out. Shawn Spears got involved by grabbing Iguana’s puppet Yesca, though Iguana retrieved it. Izzi Dame tagged in and Lola Vice responded with strikes. Ultimately, Dame ducked a Spinning Backfist from the NXT Women’s Champion and hit a Busaiku Knee to put Vice down and earn the victory, sending a clear statement to the locker room.
Tony D’Angelo def. Tavion Heights – Non-Title Match
The match began as a technical showcase, with D’Angelo unable to out-mat-wrestle the former Olympian before the contest turned into a slugfest. The two traded suplexes, and Kam Hendrix attempted to interfere but was chased off by North American Champion Myles Borne. D’Angelo picked up the non-title win.
Post-Match: Mason Rook
After the bout, Mason Rook made his way out and took out D’Angelo — the second consecutive week he has laid out the NXT Champion. He then officially announced his arrival in NXT.
