The story
Biography
Batista overcame a late start in wrestling to become one of WWE's defining stars of the 2000s. After emerging as the powerhouse of Evolution, he broke away from Triple H and won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21. Multiple world-title reigns and rivalries with The Undertaker, John Cena and others established The Animal as a genuine main-event attraction. Batista later achieved major success as an actor while retaining a strong connection to the career that first made him famous.
