WrestleMania 41 is nearly upon us!
WWE brings us its showpiece event this weekend from Las Vegas’ incredible Allegiant Stadium, and so what better time to get 5 of our main-event writers together in a room (sort of) and lay the predictions on the line to be discussed, agreed with, laughed at and whatever else takes your fancy.
WrestleMania 41 – Night 1 kicks off this Saturday and the card has been finalised (well as much as possible) so here are the rules. 5 writers. Making their predictions. It’s basically what you thought it would be! Let’s do it.

In an ideal world, the last few weeks should be enough red flags for WWE to avert their plans. However, WWE haven’t crowned the Queen as champion for a while so I fully expect them to have Charlotte Flair bring a halt to Tiffy Time.
I can’t sit here and pretend that I think this is the right idea. However, Flair already has 14 World Championship reigns and I think they want her to surpass her father’s record (yes a record that might be broken already by the end of the weekend) and this marks the first step post-return to making it happen.
Excited isn’t the word. Perhaps this match is the one I am most interested in seeing how it plays out. The awkward, chaotic, story they have put forward has hurt the build but I think in the ring these two will smash it. Tiffany wins
I have loved the rise of Tiffany and think a rub from Charlotte would help her even more, but attitude issues turned this sideways. The hope is that cool heads can prevail and put on a fantastic match, but one stiff move could really cause egos to go off-script. I think this has hurt fans’ interest in their match. Charlotte doesn’t need this win as much as Tiffany does for her career. Winner – Tiffany.

The Raw Tag Team Division has been dead for quite some time but it has suffered even more with the War Raiders on top. Not their fault, the booking has been lacklustre. The New Day have lost momentum ever since turning heel on Big E, so I think they should win their 12th major tag championship in WWE at WM 41 and start to rebuild the division around them.
I’ve been hoping for The New Day to win the Tag Titles since they turned heel and kicked Big E out to get that nuclear heat. I’d hoped it would happen before Mania 41 but I’ve got no issues with it happening here instead. I’d then like to see Rey Fenix come to RAW to get The New Day vs. The Lucha Brothers.
Honestly, I just found out today, April 12th, that this match is happening. Viking Raiders have been dominating the division, putting great matches on. The NEW Day not so much, but they need to make more out of the recent Big E break up. The NEW new day. New Day wins.
This match at WM 41 should open the show as these 2 teams will set the tone for the rest of the show. Raiders can hang with anyone, any style and make it work perfectly. The heel run of The New Day has been stellar thus far. Winners – The New Day.

Jacob Fatu has been one of the breakout stars in WWE over the past year. The fans love him, management loves him and wrestling legends love him. Fatu is a future Wrestlemania main eventer and his path to that honour begins with a big win over LA Knight.
There is a 0% chance that they ruin all the momentum Fatu has built up since his debut in WWE by having him not win the US Title here. Fatu is a future megastar for the WWE and they need to show that by having him not just win the title, but absolutely destroy an established star like Knight in this match.
I feel like this match could be quick, LA Knight is a fighter but I wouldn’t be shocked if this match is under 5 minutes and then they run it back, just longer, at the next PPV. FATU WINS.
LA will be LA, but this will be Fatu’s moment. His rise has been organic and the audience is into his work 100%. This is the kickstart to his main event-level push. LA won’t lose anything here but this is all about Jacob Fatu.

I feel bad for Chad Gable. He deserves to have a match at Wrestlemania 41, but I guess it is a cool moment for El Grande Americano to appear instead. I expect Rey Mysterio to win and unmask El Grande afterwards, finally revealing who this mystery man could possibly be.
The only thing I want from this is for it to be made a Mask vs. Mask match. If this is a one-and-done then it should be a win for Rey Mysterio and it should end with Americano getting unmasked. However, if they plan on running a Mask vs. Mask match later then I guess Americano could win here potentially.
Both Mysterio and ‘El Grande’ deserve Wrestlemania 41 matches. I think the only thing better here would be Mysterio v Chad Gable, since he’s had this luchador story going for months but this will do. If they make this Mask v Mask, I think Mysterio wins. If not, El Grande Americano wins.
At least Chad Gable will be on the card. Not into this whole Luchador gimmick he is doing but I expect him and Mysterio to have the entire audience on the edge of their seat. This matchup fits greatly into the Wrestlemania mold. Winner- El Grande Americano, who will unmask and reveal Chad Gable.

If there is anyone that I can see WWE building an Undertaker-like streak around, it is Jade Cargill. Jade has been off TV for months until last month and she last her return match thanks to Naomi. Cargill will get revenge by winning at Wrestlemania 41.
It’s honestly so nice to see a non-title match in the women’s division get a WrestleMania spot. I’m confident that Jade Cargill will win as it will give her some revenge against her attacker and it’ll give her the momentum to challenge Chelsea Green for the Women’s United States Title in the coming months.
I’m excited for this match, I haven’t seen Jade wrestle in a long time and I’m sure she’s only gotten better. Naomi is the perfect opponent and they’ve justified the story reaching Wrestlemania heights. Jade wins.
I originally would have loved Cargill vs Belair, but Naomi has knocked the buildup to this out of the park. Naomi has shined and has finally broken through and become everything she can be. She has been the highlight of this feud. Winner – Naomi.

I mean, Jey Uso has to win, right? Screw the IWC, I liked Jey Uso winning the Royal Rumble. The build for this match has been weak until recently though. A loss for Jey here would be crippling and I struggle to see how he can bounce back to being ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso ever again. Yeet.
If you’d have told me at the start of 2025 that I’d be writing that Jey Uso will win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, I’d have called you mad. Regardless, here we are and it’s bound to happen because if it doesn’t, I don’t think “Main Event” Jey Uso’ll come back from it.
Unfortunately not the main event, this match still has everything you want from a WWE Big match. The dominant heel vs the popular, smaller babyface. I expect Jey to win and then everyone in the crowd to YEET with him, an image WWE will use for decades. Jey Uso wins.
Jey has evolved so organically, and the fans became so invested in him that his Rumble win was the right call. Him and Gunther should put on a great match and hopefully the audience will be solely behind Uso. Gunther can create magic with any man, any size, any style so this should be no different. Hopefully, WWE continues giving the audience what they want and that’s more YEET.

I have been going back and forth on this and I think that Roman Reigns is going to walk out victorious. It won’t be Paul Heyman who helps him win. Mirroring last year’s main event, Seth Rollins’ obsession with CM Punk will cost him the match and allow Reigns to avenge Rollins’ interference at Wrestlemania 31 and Wrestlemania 40.
I’m glad this is the main event of Night 1 as it is the second-best storyline heading into the show behind Cody Rhodes vs John Cena. The interesting factor here is Paul Heyman and being in CM Punk’s corner despite his role as Roman Reigns’ wise man. It is because of this that I see Punk winning here.
Anyone can win really. Roman, but Punk is under his skin, he feels betrayed by the wise man. Seth, but his obsession with Punk could distract him. Seth may just want to make sure anyone but Punk wins. Then there’s Punk, I’m sure he’s been promised a Wrestlemania win. He got the main event, they’ll probably give him the win.
The talent in this ring will have the audience in the palms of their hands. I think these 3 will put on a Match of the Year contender and will be even better than people are hoping for. This match will be highlighting CM Punk and finally being able to capture his dream of main-eventing Wrestlemania. This match is going to be incredible. Winner – CM Punk.
There we have it, night 1 of WrestleMania 41. A huge thank you to Connor, Squish, Kane and Nick for their thoughts on the big event and you can catch part 2 here.
