REVIEW

Raw rolled into the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina on 18 May 2026 with the Saturday Night’s Main Event go-home show — and ended up dropping two of the biggest stipulation announcements of the year. Brock Lesnar made a shock return to lay out Oba Femi, Roman Reigns accepted Jacob Fatu’s Tribal Combat challenge for Clash in Italy, and Seth Rollins wrestled his first Raw match in nearly nine months.

Opening Segment: Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu and The Usos

Reigns arrived on time for the second straight week and was immediately confronted by Adam Pearce, who insisted Fatu should already be fired. Fatu’s music hit before Reigns could respond. Jimmy and Jey Uso came out first to try and talk Fatu down — Jimmy invoked the family and asked if they were “back in prison,” Jey swung a chair, and Fatu shrugged it off and locked in the Tongan Death Grip on both brothers.

Reigns finally came out and the four-way brawl spilled across the ring before Fatu was overwhelmed by superkicks, Superman Punches and a spear. With Pearce ready to fire him, Fatu grabbed a mic and challenged Reigns to Tribal Combat. Reigns accepted from the stage, title held high. The match is officially set for Clash in Italy in Turin on 31 May 2026.

Street Fight: Finn Bálor def. JD McDonagh

A genuinely vicious match between former Judgment Day brothers. The fight spilled out to the crowd, with Bálor sending McDonagh into a road case before McDonagh hit a moonsault off the barricade. McDonagh wrapped the camera cable around Bálor’s ankles to immobilise him, but Bálor recovered and picked up the pinfall.

Becky Lynch vs Sol Ruca Set for SNME

Becky Lynch was dismissive of Sol Ruca’s NXT credentials during an interview interruption. Ruca came out, demanded a match on the spot, and the two are now booked in a non-title match for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Six-Man Tornado Tag: Los Americanos def. Los Americanos Hermanos & The Original El Grande Americano

El Grande Americano teamed with Bravo and Rayo Americano to beat OG El Grande Americano alongside Bruto and Julio Creedo. Builds toward Mask vs Mask at AAA Noche de Los Grandes on 30 May.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Paige & Brie Bella (c) def. Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez

Paige and Brie’s first Raw match together in eight and seven years respectively. Liv Morgan got involved repeatedly before being ejected — her last interference attempt backfired and Brie rolled Perez up for the pin. Post-match, Morgan, Rodriguez and Perez attacked the champions until Bayley and Lyra Valkyria made the save, signalling clear directions for both teams heading into SNME.

Brock Lesnar Returns and Destroys Oba Femi

The moment of the night. Femi’s Open Challenge segment was interrupted by Brock Lesnar, who supposedly retired at WrestleMania 42. Three consecutive F-5s left Femi laid out. Paul Heyman later handed Adam Pearce a signed contract for a Lesnar vs Femi rematch at Clash in Italy on 31 May.

Genuinely surprising booking given how recently they sold Lesnar’s retirement — this should send Clash in Italy ticket sales into another gear.

Ethan Page Sits Down with Michael Cole

Page handed Cole an envelope full of pre-written softball questions ahead of his Intercontinental Championship match with Penta at SNME. Cole played along briefly before pushing back, telling Page his ego would cost him. Page declared he’d be the first to put fear into Penta.

LA Knight Warns The Usos and Rollins

Knight confronted Jimmy and Jey backstage, accusing them of acting no better than The Vision by shutting people out. Later confronted Rollins before the main event with a pointed line: “The enemy of my enemy is not my friend.” Respected Rollins going it alone but made clear no backup was coming.

Joe Hendry Sings “Fire Logan Paul”

Hendry got Greensboro singing along to “Fire Logan Paul” — exactly the kind of viral crowd moment WWE has leaned into since his arrival.

Main Event: Seth Rollins def. Austin Theory

Rollins called out any member of The Vision, specifically Bron Breakker — “a nepo baby who can’t hack it.” Heyman refused to book Breakker and sent Theory instead. Rollins survived constant Vision interference, including a brass-knuckles spot, before hitting the Pedigree for the pin.

Post-match descended into chaos: Breakker attacked Rollins and speared multiple wrestlers in a brawl involving Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford and the rest of The Vision. Raw went off the air with officials struggling to restore order.

The Bottom Line

A loaded go-home show that achieved everything it needed to. Two stipulation matches officially announced for Clash in Italy — Reigns vs Fatu in Tribal Combat and Lesnar vs Femi — alongside meaningful build for SNME. The Lesnar return was the standout moment, but Bálor vs McDonagh deserves recognition as the best in-ring effort of the night.
