“Timeless” Toni Storm Speaks, Attacked by Athena

“Cincinnati Sickos, lend me your ear.”

Toni addressed the many nicknames of ROH Women’s Champion, Athena and in a very timeless way, broke down the ridiculous nature of each one. However, she took a little more time with “The Fallen Goddess” moniker and felt the need to pray.

Toni reminded us about milk, lemonade, and where the fudge is made before praying, or should we say predicting, how she wanted to send Athena back to America when all was said and done in their AEW Women’s Championship match next week at AEW Forbidden Door in London.

As Toni went to end her prayer, she left us with, “Chin up, tits out, and watch for the…”

And before Toni could say anything more, she avoided the shoe, or should we say boot of Athena. While Storm got the best of Athena for a few seconds, Billie Starkz ran out to make the save, as both she and Athena beat down Storm.

While Storm writhed in pain, Athena mocked Storm and called her entire act a charade.

“If AEW is where the best wrestle, why is this bitch sitting at the top?!”

How We Got to MJF vs Hangman Page at Forbidden Door

We go from the AEW Women’s Championship to the AEW Men’s Championship with a recap of how “Hangman” Adam Page flipped the script and goaded MJF into executing his guaranteed AEW Championship match contract at AEW Forbidden Door. Unfortunately for Page, MJF had the last laugh of the night when he attacked Page in the parking lot at the end of AEW Dynamite.

The Hurt Syndicate Talk Future Challengers and Drama

Backstage, Renee Paquette caught up with the AEW Tag Team Champions, Bobby Lashey and Shelton Benjamin and MVP of The Hurt Syndicate. Renee asked their thoughts on AEW Tag Team Championship Eliminator Tournament finals between Brodido and FTR. There was little concern with facing either team, as MVP promised they would hurt whoever they faced next week for the AEW Tag Team Titles at AEW Forbidden Door. When Renee asked about the drama surrounding the group, all three men laughed it off.

FTR and Stokely steal Bandido’s Mask, Brody King Makes the Save

We were taken backstage to see a downed Bandido at the feet of Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, and Big Stoke, the latter of whom took the mask of Bandido. However, Brody King hit the scene to save his partner!

King fought FTR out to the ringside area and seemed to be in control, but much like Wednesday against Cope, Stoke brought out the powder and blinded King. That left him wide open for a Shatter Machine and gave FTR the momentum heading into next week’s AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament Finals on AEW Dynamite in Glasgow, Scotland!

SkyFlight Challenge The Don Callis Family

Unhappy with how Don Callis tried to mess with their debut, the members of SkyFlight laid out a challenge for any kind of match for next week’s AEW Dynamite in Glasgow, Scotland. Leila Grey was especially fired up and led the crew away to train.

Kyle Fletcher Is Ready for Hiromu Takahashi

TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher acknowledged that he asked for the best from New Japan Pro Wrestling and got Hiromu Takahashi, as he found out on AEW Dynamite. Fletcher showed no fear and promised that his reign was just getting started.

With Hechicero and Lance Archer by his side, Fletcher accepted the challenge of SkyFlight and thanked Don Callis for making all of this possible.

Anthony Bowens Doesn’t Want to Talk about Max Caster

Backstage, an annoyed Anthony Bowens was asked by Renee Paquette about the first international Max Caster Open Challenge. Bowens complained that the interview was supposed to be about him and all his recent accolades, including throwing out the first pitch at a San Francisco Giants game and rubbing elbows on the red carpet with Bob Odenkirk and Bill Burr. He doesn’t understand why people keep talking about Caster when all he does is lose.
