Here we are about to embark on a whole year of Match Cards for AEW. This booking was made in early January… a lot has happened since then so lets just go with it…
First PPV of the year, we are including AEW Grandslam Australia.
GrandSlam Australia Build-Up:
So in the lead up to GrandSlam, there’s a Casino Gauntlet to determine who will face MJF in Australia. Before this match, Kyle Fletcher returns to confront Don Callis about what Okada did, Okada isn’t present. Callis distracts Kyle by telling him he has an opportunity for him. He’s got a place in the Casino Gauntlet, at number 1. Kyle wins the match and will face MJF in Australia. Meanwhile, Hangman, Swerve, Joe and Omega are all undefeated leading to Grandslam. Tony Khan makes it official that it’ll be a fatal four way in Australia to determine the No.1 contender at Revolution.
FTR, respectfully greet Andrade back to AEW. This leads to the Don Callis demanding they leave them alone. FTR don’t back down and he says he’ll send Davis and Doyle after them. FTR tell them, anytime… anywhere. So Callis sets the challenge for GrandSlam Australia. Mark Briscoe defeats Hechicero at Maximum Carnage but the Callis family had a back up plan. Andrade attacks Briscoe after the match. This leads to a confrontation in Australia.
Finally, in the women’s division. Mercedes can’t manage to get her hands on Willow so she attacks Harley in the car park after the show. Willow and Kris go to help Harley but are jumped by the Triangle of Madness. Toni and Mina are leaving to when they see this and rush to help. Marina Shafir is in the back of the Death Riders truck and they drive past this mayhem. She hops out and joins in, targeting Toni and Mina. All 10 women cap off Dynamite with a car park brawl and security and paramedics rush to the scene as many women are bleeding. We find out the following week that Julia and Mina were hospitalised. The faces are all being interviewed when Harley screams out a challenge to Mercedes, Marina and Triangle of Madness. A Sydney Street Fight.
AEW GRANDSLAM
- MJF vs Fletcher – AEW World Championship- MJF Wins.
After the match, the Callis family all come out and comfort Kyle. Then Okada’s music plays, he stares down MJF as the past each other. MJF telling Okada to suck it. Okada laughs and reaches Callis on the ramp, they share some words and then everyone attacks Kyle. Okada slowly makes his way to the ring, taking off his suit to hit the Rainmaker on Fletcher when Konosuke’s music plays and he rushes the ring with a cricket bat. Davis and Doyle to fight and get taken out, everyone else leaves the ring. FTR rush in behind Takeshita and attack him, then shake hands with Davis and Doyle. Eventually the Callis Family hold Takeshita back as they hit Kyles leg with the cricket bat and the hits Konosuke in the head and leave the ring.

Build to Revolution:
In the build to Revolution, MJF and Hangman share some promos together. The most significant moment comes when Hangman tells Max that this time will be different. Since they’ve already had two singles matches on PPV last year, this time, it’ll be Texas Death. Konosuke finally gets his wish, a chance to fight Okada again, with Okada’s title on the line. Unfortunately he must go at it alone as Fletcher remains injured.
Mercedes gets herself another chance at Willow, tells Willow it’s best for business for Mercedes to be on top as she’s the better wrestler. Willow, the fighting champion, accepts. She wants no doubt about who’s the best, so it’ll be a 2 out of 3 falls match. Willow eating her own words as she will fight twice at Revolution, agreeing to compete in a Women’s Tag Title match vs Athena & Billie Starks.
Fallout from the Sydney Street Fight has led us to Statlander vs Marina Shafir, as the Moldovian viciously took out Kris, throwing her off the stage in Australia. It’s Kris who wants some payback. Jon Moxley is happy to take on all comers so it’s no shock that he agrees to fight Jay White after his assault in Australia. Kenny Omega blames Samoa Joe for him being unable to challenge for the AEW World Championship, starting a feud between the two, bringing us to Kenny and The Bucks challenging The Opps for the Trio’s gold.
Lastly, we’ve had qualifiers for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match this year for the TNT Championship. Callis also managed to secure the night off for FTR. In good faith for their help in Australia.
AEW REVOLUTION
- MJF vs Hangman – AEW World Championship – Texas Death – MJF Wins.
After the match, Okada would come down and, with FTR, attack MJF and Hangman. Max manages to roll out of the ring and escape to the crowd. As, the Callis family all beat down, Swerve comes out to make the save on Hangman but the numbers are too much. That is until, MJF hits the ring and helps fight off with a kendo stick. Swerve and Hangman look at him, confused. He tells them to ‘suck it’ and leaves too.
- Okada vs Konosuke – International Championship – Konosuke wins via Rollup in 26:10
Okada reverses a 2nd Raging Fire from Takeshita into a rollup, but Konosuke reverses that into a roll up of his own for the pin. Furious, after the match Okada attacks Konosuke, wrapping his leg in a steel chair and stomping on it repeatedly. He takes the chair off his leg and wraps it around his head but before he can do anything, Kyle Fletchers music plays. He chases off Okada and Callis.

After the match, The Death Riders arrive and help Moxley back up. PAC, Gabe Kidd, Marina, Claudio, Yuta and Garcia all slowly surround Mox as he gets back to his feet. Build to Dynasty:
We start the following Dynamite with a clip from after the main event of Revolution. Swerve standing by the medical office, doctors tell him it’s going to be awhile. Swerve notices MJF walk by and go into his locker room. Swerve follows him in and slams the door shut. We hear some of their conversations from the other side. Swerve asks MJF, rather loudly,“Why did you help me and Hanger?” MJF responses: “You think I like being the bad guy all the time? You think I like having no friends in this business, just gold? I fucking hate it. I thought for a second that if I could help you guys that maybe you wouldn’t hate me so much.” Swerve doesn’t respond immediately, then tells MJF: “I appreciate the help, but you’re crazy if you think we’ll ever be friends.” And leaves.
The rest of the World title build is simple. Swerve and Okada both want a shot at the title, they have a No.1 Contenders match that ends in a 30minute draw. The Callis Family attack and MJF comes out to save Swerve. It’s announced that a Triple Threat will headline Dynasty. MJF v Swerve v Okada.
On the Dynamite following Revolution, Sisters of Sin, with Athena and Starkz take out Willow and Harley, injuring Harley pretty bad in the process, and Athena also getting an injury. This leads to Willow and Harley having to vacate the championship. Two triple threat women’s tag qualifiers are announced, with the winners facing each other at Dynasty for the Womens Tag Championship. After the attack on Statlander, Thekla is the now challenged by Kris to a match at Dynasty. Also on Dynasty, hoping to fight Athena but she’s not cleared, Willow is looking for an opponent. Willow is the one to actually make the challenge, as she calls out Toni Storm. Someone she’s never beaten before.
Darby Allin is the first person to challenge Jay White since he won at Revolution. Jay White gladly accepts as Darby has never beaten him. Darby has been undefeated in singles competition in 2026, so he is on a hot streak. After Takeshita was injured he was unable to defend the International Championship, so a tournament was put together. Fletcher enters the tournament after trying to confront the Callis family but the numbers were too much right now. He reaches the final but has to defeat Claudio in he wants to be International Champion.
The Elite and The Opps are not done with each other yet as every week they’re finding new places to and settings to fight one another. This leads to the decision from AEW to lock everyone in a cage and have an No Escape, Elimination Steel Cage Match. Finally FTR have a lot of people coming after them since they dodged all challengers at Revolution. This leads to Brodido and JetSpeed coming after their titles at Dynasty.

He then offers Darby to PAC and as PAC locks on the brutalizer on Darby… Eddie Kingstons music plays and he runs down with Ortiz. They begin fighting but are still out number. WILD THING BEGINS and out comes Jon Moxley. He comes through the crowd and out to confront the Death Riders, dual lead pipes in hand. He attacks Yuta and Garcia before the others escape him.
Build to Double or Nothing:
On the first Dynamite after Dynasty, Okada is having his celebration when the Death Riders crash the party. Coming from the crowd, Callis sends his men, Rocky, Trent, El Clon out to the face them but they are defeated, so Callis sends another wave, Andrade, Archer and Hechicero. Yuta and Dani take on Archer, while Claudio fights Hechicero and Gabe Kidd brawls with Andrade. PAC just stares down Okada, looking for the AEW World Championship. As he gets into the ring, Moxley’s theme plays and he comes out through the crowd, hitting Callis Family members and Death Riders with lead pipes as he makes his way to Okada. PAC uses this distraction to jump Okada and they starts brawl, with PAC locking Okada in the Brutalizer. Moxley breaks this up and starts wailing on PAC. This is until Okada pulls him off but Moxley straight away hits him with a Paradigm Shift.
After all this, Callis is speaking to Tony Khan and demands fines. Okada comes in, pushes Callis aside and demands to fight both men. Tony Khan makes that’s offical, against Callis wishes, for Double or Nothing. With PAC and Moxley busy in the World title match, Darby/Eddie/Ortiz challenge Claudio/Yuta/Gabe Kidd to a not DQ match at Double or Nothing.
MJF and Swerve share a ring after Dynasty and both make cases as to why they should be challenging Okada next but then Omega comes down and says he’s been on a roll in 2026, finally wearing gold again but it might be time to start collecting some belts. A Triple Threat is announced to determine and No.1 contenders for after Double or Nothing. This match wouldn’t have a clean finish as Death Riders and Callis Family would interfere and take out everyone involved. Then fight themselves. Hangman returns and he comes to join to fighting, making sure he gets Swerve and Omega out of there. MJF manages to push Swerve out of the ring to safety before Okada hits a Rainmaker on him. All four men argue about who should be No.1 contender next week, Hangman decides that everyone needs a controlled environment to determine a No.1 contender. 4 men, 60 minutes Ironman match, Double or Nothing. That’ll determine who deserves to be No.1 contender.
With Kenny busy for Double or Nothing, the Young Bucks decide to confront FTR after their claim that they’re the best tag team AEW has ever seen. Young bucks say it’s time to run it back, this time we up the stakes though. Suspend the titles about the ring, we call it a Ladder Match.
For the women, Willow and Statlander confront the Triangle of Madness after their antics that cost Statlander her AEW Women’s Championship. Athena comes down with Starkz and on her way down the ramp. Claiming Willow is a hard women to find at the right time. But she’s heeled now and she’s coming for that Championship. Willow turn to Athena and says she not afraid of fighting hurt, then turns and tells Thekla she isn’t afraid to fight you! Statlander grabs the mic and says she wants her title back and it’s time they take care of the Triangle of Madness once and for all. Thekla just laughs, says there’s only two of you, how could you expect to do anything against all of us, I hurt your little pet Harley… Athena is now on the apron. Willow takes the mic and says, I have a lot more friends. Then the lights go out and and Toni Storms music plays but transitions into the Timeless Love Bombs theme a single spotlight hits the middle of the ring, showing Toni and Min are now in the ring. The lights come back up, everybody is shocked and Toni grabs a mic. I agreed to help Willow, after our war at AEW Dynasty, on one condition… She would let me say the thing… Everybody looks around at each other. Toni then screams, “ANARCHY IN THE ARENA!”
The faces all attack and everyone is brawling. Despite having the jump on them, Athena, Starkz and the Triangle of Madness gain the upper hand. Taking everyone out, they now just have have just Willow in the ring, all holding her back until Thekla usher someone to come out from the back. CEO, CEO, CEO Mercedes is back! And she comes down to the ring, not dancing, but very serious. As she enters the ring, Thekla gives her a chair and she lifts it to hit Willow… but instead she hits Thekla! The faces gain the upper hand has all the heels are in shock. They all leave the ring as the faces stand tall in the middle.
Finally, after winning the International Championship at Dynasty, Kyle Fletcher claims that this title he holds is in honour of Takeshita, who should be the champion right now. Until he returns, he hold this belt for him. He goes soon to say this is the most prestigious title you could hold outside of the World Title. This brings out Jay White who disagrees, also Andrade who also disagrees. The 3 decide to settle this at Double or Nothing.

Ospreay takes the mic and tells Callis, he knows nothing. Nothing of importance. Nothing of pride. Not to home and not to an individual. When Okada loses, and you will lose at Wembley, you watch Callis start looking for the next best thing. How many people has you brought up just to drop? You think this is important to you guys? I have wanted this every since I came here in AEW! I had to take away the dreams of over men to get where I am and I will no let that be in vein. I will beat you and become the AEW World Champion.

Athena shows up two weeks after Wrestledream and she call out Willow. She says that she’s healthy, she’s hungry and most importantly, she’s ready. Ready to fight Willow. Willow agrees, she teases that if Athena can stay in one piece by Full Gear, she will gladly fight her.
Hayter is looking to celebrate another successful championship win when she’s attacked by the Triangle of Madness. Thekla telling her that she’s coming for her belt. In the following weeks, Jamie find help with old rivals. Kris Statlander and Mercedes Mone. The violence and interfere becomes too much for Jamie so she offers a solution. A Steel Cage Match for her a Thekla. Kris and Mercedes would also go on to get themselves a match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at Full Gear.
The Young Bucks are also confused how someone like Hanger can become the man he’s becoming, after everything Swerve did to him. Everything they did to one another. Regardless, they want to kick the shit out of him. Thus, challenging them to a match at Full Gear.
PAC has a vignette, offering to fight the best AEW has to offer. With the warning that he’s not responsible if they’re not able to leave the ring when he’s finished with them. This brings forth Okada, as Callis managed to secure him a match against PAC. PAC has never beaten Okada so this will be a tru e test for the Bastard. Mike Bailey would also adopt a fighting champion spirit and offer a title shot to anyone who had had one in a while. This leads to a mini tournament, 3 matches, leading to a Four Way at Full Gear. Lio Rush, Mascara Dorado and Michael Oku would be victorious in those matches.
Finally, in Trios action. The Conglomeration run into Omega/Ibushi/Perry backstage, Challenging them to a match. But before they can accept, a brawl, between Claudio and the Death Riders vs Gabe Kidd and the Grizzled Young Vets, spills on top of them and now everyone is fighting. This would lead to a Trios 4 – Way at Full Gear.

Build to Worlds End:
The build to this PPV will probably be shorter, as this PPV is centred around the Continental Classic, with the Women finally getting their own this year.
Ospreay comes out to start Dynamite, this time very humble, telling the crowd that his match with Darby was one of the best he thinks he’s every put on for you guys. He loves this shit, he loves AEW. Whoever is next, better bring their A – Game because Ospreay is working on another level. Konosuke music plays and he comes down to face Will, he tells Ospreay that it’s time. He pulls out his contract and signs it. Then he says, “I’ve beaten Okada, I’ve beaten Fletcher. He’s never beaten Ospreay. But now, he’s ready. At Worlds End, it’s be Ospreay vs Konosuke, but this time it’s be my hand raise after the match.
In the Men’s Continental Classic, Fletcher would come out on top of the Blue League with 13 points, followed by MJF(11 points), the only person who Fletcher dropped points against, as they went to a time limit draw. In the Gold League, PAC, the current Continental Champion, would win his league with 12 points. Okada would follow him with 11 points.
In the Women’s Continental Classic(5 person groups), Athena would win the Emerald League, with 9 points, followed by Kris Statlander with 7 points. In the Sapphire League, Thekla would come out on top with 12 points, followed by Willow on 9 points.
After losing in the Trios match at Full Gear, Gabe Kidd and the Grizzled Young Vets would look for a place to take out their frustration and that would be AJ Styles/The Good Brothers. Thus we embark on a violent war between the two groups, concluding at Worlds End.
Also this month, Cope and Christian are looking for a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championship. Standing in there way though is FTR. This leads to a No.1 contenders match. The Young Bucks also want another shot, this time, since Swerve/Hangman like using weapons, it should be No DQ. Nick reminds Matt that Triple Threat matches are No DQ. So in the No.1 contenders match FTR and Cope/Christian are attack by Swerve/Hangman. This results in the match being changed, not to a singles match like they hoped, but a Fatal Four way.
Rounding things off, Jaime Hayter is feeling a bit left out at Worlds End and says she’s looking for a challenger. She walks down the halfway and runs into Mercedes Mone. They share a stare and Jamie says, “You’ll do.” Then there’s a rumbling around them and then a forklift comes crashing through the wall, knocking both women down. Who’s driving? Toni Storm, finally returned from her loss at ALL OUT to Jaime Hayter. She looks around and cartoonishly says, “Ah, there’s my belt. That was easy.” and leaves with the AEW Women’s Championship.
